Hi All,
Apologies if there is another thread about this, but I couldn't find it. So I thought I would start one.
Happy to get it deleted if there is one already, if not - happy unboxing, let's hear what you think :)

Don't know Sammi but if you join the Caroline Hirons FB page, you'll get plenty of responses there.
It really does smell awful ☹️
But make my skin feel so soft! Will persevere!

Sammi38 · 02/12/2019 12:21

Thank you for the replies. I think I’ll give it a go tonight. Haven’t smelt it yet but I adore strong herbal scents so quite looking forward to it.

LEELULUMPKIN · 02/12/2019 12:33

Just make sure there are no canines around Sammi!

I really love the smell! Doesn’t it make you worry that you put on perfume and half the people you meet get a headache.

Re the empty boxes from previous years, I store my tree decorations in them.

Chickydoo · 02/12/2019 15:33

How funny that some of us love the smell and some don't.
I'm in the big love camp. I could bath in the stuff! Might be a pricey bath though!

HappyInL0nd0n · 02/12/2019 19:58

Love the smell and it goes on like a dream. Smile

My skin feels so smooth.

Shame I still look about 100 years old due to a teething baby with a horrid cold keeping me up night after night... GinGinGin

StarShapedWindow · 02/12/2019 20:19

Poor you HappyInLondon, luckily it won’t last long - although that’s not much use when you’re in the thick of it. Calpol?

plantingandpotting · 03/12/2019 06:12

Joining if I may 👋😁

Happy December all!

Really didn't think I'd get the calendar this year (had our first baby in June), so it feels extra special and indulgent 🌟

Aveda left me a bit 'meh', although I expected something similar, as they played the same tactic last year with the day 1 demoligica. Still, they smell nice enough and I'm sure I'll appreciate them on a weekend away in the future.

Now...that facial oil is bang up my street!! Smells incredible, sits on the skin wonderfully. Perfection. I used 3 drops after cleansing and it felt more than enough.

P.s. apologies for the lack of formatting. My app disregards any attempts I make at paragraphs 🤪

BloodyCats · 03/12/2019 07:14

Mm I really like today’s gift!

Was a bit 😕 at the size of it but it’s handy to keep in my bag. Absolutely love the smell. It smells fresh and light but with some depth if that makes sense?

Loving yesterday’s oil. My skin feels great!
I’m a greedy pig though and want a full size gift tomorrow Grin

Ps sending lots of BrewBrewBrew to those with sleepless babies. Mine are older now but I remember those days of walking around bleary eyed well. At least you’re skin will look great!

Chickydoo · 03/12/2019 07:21

Not sure about today's. I think the size is perfect for a bag, but not sure if I like the smell. It is warm and a bit woody for me, might be ok for winter. Will see how it wears on the skin

Doubleraspberry · 03/12/2019 07:22

Mine is getting woodier and woodier. Not my normal sort of scent but I’m giving it a chance. Clashes a bit with the orchid oil though.

Chickydoo · 03/12/2019 07:24

Just checked it costs £160 for 100ml
So our little bottle would cost £40 for 25ml.....yikes!!!

BloodyCats · 03/12/2019 07:29

Bloody hell thats expensive! I feel like a bit of a brat moaning at the size of it now.

LizzieMacQueen · 03/12/2019 07:50

I'm joining in too.

I like this perfume. Enough to buy full size? Maybe not. What I'm hoping for is a moisturiser to replace the Clarins I've used for decades.

I'll use yesterday's oil on my dry skin patches rather than my face. As for the shampoo, I don't really do big and bouncy hair. That can go in the hamper I'm making for my mum.

PortusCale · 03/12/2019 08:07

Lurking here and enjoying reading all the comments! Wondering if the little cards giving an explanation of each item is a new thing? I had a Liberty calendar a few years ago and they didn’t do them. So much better this way than having to get out a magnifying glass to read the tiny print on each item.

I rather like the smell of today’s perfume, probably not enough to buy it again though. Will see how it lasts through the day, I only gave it a tiny squirt and it’s quite strong.

LEELULUMPKIN · 03/12/2019 08:48

Genuinely not sure about this one folks. I don't hate it but then I don't love it either. The good news is that the dog isn't bothered by it like yesterdays oil!

However I think this is another one for the swap pile maybe.

Really dislike this perfume as I’m not into white florals, doesn’t work on my skin

My mum on the other hand loves it!

bellabelly · 03/12/2019 10:17

I wasn't going to get the calendar this year but DH bought me one as an early Christmas present! Really pleased so far, love the oil from yesterday and would buy full size if not too expensive. The shampoo and conditioner have left my frizzy hair very soft and smooth. Not totally sure about this perfume, smells a bit too much of roses on me so far.

plantingandpotting · 03/12/2019 10:19

I'm not a fan or florals and prefer deeper, woodier tones.

...but I'm surprisingly into this!

It's quite heady though, so we'll see if it grates throughout the day like most florals do.

Did anyone here read Rebecca Humphries daily review of the calendar last year?
Genuinely very funny. Shame they're not doing it this year.

plantingandpotting · 03/12/2019 10:33

here's the blog link

missfliss · 03/12/2019 10:57

I absolutely love today's ❤️

BloodyCats · 03/12/2019 11:00

Yes, loved reading her reviews! She is doing it again but on a smaller scale on her insta.

Well this is the first perfume that has actually stuck to me, they usually wear off after 30 minutes. Not sure I would buy it at that price but it’s a lovely treat.

Portus I know they did the cards last year. They’re a nice touch.

plantingandpotting · 03/12/2019 11:04

Thank you! @BloodyCats

Just found them and already laughing.

TerpsichoreanMuse · 03/12/2019 11:09

I like this one, floral but with some depth so a bit out of the ordinary.
