Look Fantastic Advent Calendar 2019 Daily Thread

Anyone up for a daily thread??? This is my first beauty advent calendar & I’m super excited. DH is refusing to believe it’s an actual advent calendar since there’s no chocolate inside there’s no pleasing some people

I’m such an idiot. Whereas my 4 yo knows precisely which number on her calendar to open each day, I have opened tomorrow’s.

Don’t worry, no spoilers, but the 9th is a fab product - one of my repeat buys!

As for the elasticizer, I’ve already got one that I haven’t gotten round to using as I wash my hair in the evening and I’ve heard must people use it overnight. But I’m liking the idea of just wetting my hair, pottering about and then washing it off!

Offredismysister · 09/12/2019 09:18

Not tried this brand before, but I love a cleanser & it smells nice.

problembottom · 09/12/2019 09:24

Yes I love the look of this cleanser, excited to try it. Good variety so far.

happytobemrsg · 09/12/2019 09:42

I already use & love the Clinique cleansing balm which is similar I think in that it melts off the make up. A shame but I doubt I’ll use this

Excellent! Always like to try a new cleanser.

Bumbl · 09/12/2019 14:23

Excited to try today's, I am always looking for something to replace Emma Hardie Moringa Balm as I love it but it is so expensive. Will check the price of today's

chloechloe · 09/12/2019 15:50

Like I said before, I’m a big fan of this, I usually use it in the morning.

I heard a podcast interview with the inventor of this product a while back and she says it’s good to massage this on to your skin and leave it for a while to let the enzymes really work - eg if you wash your face in the shower. I find it makes my skin super soft.

ThatSeventiesLass · 09/12/2019 16:17

I'm just about to hit the shower so I will try doing it that way.

problembottom · 09/12/2019 16:39

Good tip thank you, I’ll try it in the shower too.

ThatSeventiesLass · 09/12/2019 17:08

Thanks Chloe, it worked, my skin feels almost silken...that was a brilliant tip!!🤗

chloechloe · 09/12/2019 17:44

Glad it worked!!!

Talisin · 10/12/2019 05:49

Unexciting but good (I’ve used them before) today.

I did finally use the Elasticiser - it made my hair lovely and soft but otherwise didn’t do much of anything.

Bumbl · 10/12/2019 09:16

Just used today's product, has anyone used it before?

Offredismysister · 10/12/2019 10:07

I like the look of today’s. I’m sure I’ve had this brand in another calendar before.

blardyfeck · 10/12/2019 13:19

I'm pleased with the Oskia cleansing gel. I also use Emma Hardie balm in the evenings but I'm on the hunt for a cleanser for the mornings. I'm using Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser at the moment and it's ok but could be persuaded to change.
The First Aid Beauty pads look interesting. I love a bit of acid on my skin, as long as it's not too stringent. I'll give these a go

blardyfeck · 10/12/2019 13:22

I think I mean astringent oops

chloechloe · 10/12/2019 14:06

Today’s isn’t very exciting but they’ll no doubt get used!

Talisin · 11/12/2019 05:35

I seem to have a slightly different item to the one described on the card today. Same brand and obviously the sibling item to the one described - will be interested to hear what everyone else got.

blardyfeck · 11/12/2019 08:06

That's interesting Talisin. Do tell.
I got what's on the card. Never used it before but will try it. Might be good in the winter months.
I noticed it's quite an expensive product.

Talisin · 11/12/2019 08:49

Card said it was night cream, container says day cream. The containers look virtually identical, based on the picture on the card.

Costacoffeeplease · 11/12/2019 09:47

I also have the day creams which I’m pleased about as I have a lot of night creams

problembottom · 11/12/2019 09:52

Same Talisin. Bit disappointed as I liked the sound of the night cream. The day cream does look good tho.

problembottom · 11/12/2019 10:22

The day cream has some brilliant reviews online. Hope it works the same for me!

Bumbl · 11/12/2019 11:31

I have the 'overnight treatment'. I think this brand is really expensive

Offredismysister · 11/12/2019 14:31

My card said night cream too, but I’ve actually got the day cream.

I’m really pleased with this calendar so far, I won’t have to buy any skincare for ages. Hopefully, there will be some make up soon.
