Anyone up for a daily thread??? This is my first beauty advent calendar & I’m super excited. DH is refusing to believe it’s an actual advent calendar since there’s no chocolate inside there’s no pleasing some people

I don’t wear lipstick (very dry lips) so today isn’t useful at all for me

I’m not too annoyed yet since I love the hair product & the face cream. Hoping I’ll like tomorrow’s

Another swap box item for me. I don't wear lipstick either.

chloechloe · 06/12/2019 12:48

Your hair looks lovely mrsg!

I tried out the palette today and find it quite good, although the pigment is not as intense as my Urban Decay shadows.

Today’s is a safe bet, looks like a suit all shade. I’m another person who rarely wears lip color unless it’s barely noticeable. In my head, I always think I should start wearing it more often but never do. I will put this in my makeup bag with the good intention to use it but it’ll probably just sit there!

I always read the contents to decide which calendar to buy. Because I research so many I then forget what’s in them!

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 13:53

I like lip products so happy today.

problembottom · 06/12/2019 14:13

Today’s is not for me, first one for the swap box. Used the gold from my palette last night applied with my new brush, looked good.

blardyfeck · 06/12/2019 14:53

I don't really do lipstick although if I do, it's always pale or nude so I will happily try this one.

happytobemrsg · 06/12/2019 16:26

I don’t wear lipstick either 😡

For those of us following with interest, what was today's?

Talisin · 06/12/2019 18:40

Illamasqua Lip liner in Raw.

nothingwittyhere · 06/12/2019 20:18

Thanks!

Talisin · 07/12/2019 05:54

Bit meh about today’s. Sort of thing I’ll try once and then it’ll get forgotten about at the back of the cupboard.

Offredismysister · 07/12/2019 09:08

I’ve still got two half used lip liners, one from my first look fantastic calendar in 2016 & one from Liberty the year after! So think I’ll swap yesterday’s.

I do like rituals products, so I’ll probably use today’s on my hair.

happytobemrsg · 07/12/2019 10:23

I did want some sort of body lotion - can this be used in the same way? It does smell lovely

Still massively pleased with the Living Proof hair styler. I usually sleep with my hair twisted in a bun to give it some movement & it stays much longer with the new stuff. Will 100% be buying again.

Ooo I’m really happy with today’s, looks indulgent. So can you use it like a hair serum?

Offredismysister · 07/12/2019 14:37

Just popped back to say I used the rituals oil on my hair. Just a bit on the ends & my hair was dry. It’s smells nice & isn’t too greasy.

blardyfeck · 08/12/2019 10:00

I'm a bit behind as I had to rush out early yesterday and I'm not allowed to open my calendar without the kids.
So I've just opened yesterday's and today's.
Happy with the Rituals oil but there's a chance I'll use it once & forget about it, like Talisin said.
Today's - heard good things but wondering how often I'm going to use it. 20 minutes is a long time! Anyone else used it before?

Talisin · 08/12/2019 10:50

I think every calendar I’ve had in the last few years has had Elastisizer in it... and I honestly can’t remember ever using it. Today will be the day!

happytobemrsg · 08/12/2019 11:10

I like the idea I’d the Elastisizer, but in reality I’m not going to use it. Too much faff. With 2 young DC my showers are speedy affairs.

I’m going to create a pile of things I don’t want & see if my two 16 year old nieces want any of it. So far it’s the lip liner, eye shadow brushes, toner, & probably the palette/Elastisizer. I’m still happy since I love the face cream, hair styler & will be giving the body oil a go. I need a body exfoliator really

Bumbl · 08/12/2019 11:40

What I sometimes do with Elasticiser is wet my hair with a brush and then leave it on overnight, and shower it off in the morning. This saves me time and might be an idea for others to try if you cant spend 20mins plus showering.

Costacoffeeplease · 08/12/2019 13:12

I use the elasticiser fairly regularly, just damp my hair with a wet comb and do a few chores like unloading the dishwasher etc, then shower it off. It makes my hair soft but also gives it body

Offredismysister · 08/12/2019 14:39

I’m another one that’s had the elasticiser before & never used it. I think it’ll go in the swaps pile.

InfiniteSheldon · 08/12/2019 17:43

The liners a bit pale for me so I'll be swopping that I think

problembottom · 08/12/2019 18:22

I’m going to give the Elasticizer a go but I’m not holding out much hope if I’m honest.
