Anyone up for a daily thread??? This is my first beauty advent calendar & I’m super excited. DH is refusing to believe it’s an actual advent calendar since there’s no chocolate inside there’s no pleasing some people

I missed Lees post. I see it’s the marine cream, this is the reason I bought the calendar as I was just going to buy it on it’s own from qvc. I’ve used pcmc for ages, it really does make a difference, in my opinion.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 09:12

How much was it on QVC Sammi?

Sammi38 · 05/12/2019 09:20

Think it was about £50 for 30 mls, so same size as the one in the calendar. They do sometimes do deals on qvc on Elemis sets that sometimes include the cream, but I only use the marine cream and the super serum (which is never in any sets), so I’d end up spending more on a deal and not use most of the items.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 09:33

£50! Gordon Bennett!

InfiniteSheldon · 05/12/2019 09:40

Loving the little cards and my hair was great on day two of the styling product I normally have to do it every day so I might be actually buying that

Sammi38 · 05/12/2019 09:41

50 mls is £87 on the Elemis Website. So it’s definitely a good value offering today.

That photo is of the one with the spf in, but the one without is also £87.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 09:45

Yes, I googled that myself and saw £87 for 50ml. For this kind of cheese I am expecting serious results! :)

Sammi38 · 05/12/2019 09:48

It is actually really good, I do find that I have to be careful with foundation though, as it can cause some pilling.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 09:51

Thanks for that tip. I am very lucky to have inherited good skin so tend not to use foundation, just a bit of concealer if I get a problem area, but I will watch out for that if I ever go "full face!"

Talisin · 05/12/2019 10:00

Looking forward to putting some of this on, post bath, given all the good reports!

problembottom · 05/12/2019 10:18

Lovely shiny big pot yes please. Very happy with today’s.

Costacoffeeplease · 05/12/2019 10:40

This is a winner for me too, I use it a lot but usually only when there’s a tsv on qvc as I like the cleansing balm too

KeithPartridge · 05/12/2019 11:40

Fantastic day today! Like other posters the marine cream was one of the reasons I bought the calendar.

happytobemrsg · 05/12/2019 12:11

Very happy with today!! I’m running out of my usual cream (Clinique moisture surge) & I’m excited to give this a go! About to wash my hair so will brave the hair thing too Grin

I’m super happy with this today, it’s one of my holy grail products.

Has anybody got one with SPF? Mine is without, but the card has SPF on. I’m wondering if they’ve used two different products to fill the calendars?

I used the toner this morning. I loved the smell but found it quite drying on my skin, might have to stick to just using it at night.

I hope there’s an exfoliator coming up soon as I need a new one!

happytobemrsg · 05/12/2019 13:08

Just used the Living Proof hair styler. Smelt gorgeous & my hair has dried nice & smooth. I think it may have dried quicker too

Am I the only one who didn’t look what was in the calendar? Literally no clue! I’m a sucker for a surprise.

problembottom · 05/12/2019 13:40

Ooo your hair looks lovely

happytobemrsg · 05/12/2019 13:53

Ah thanks @problembottom! I didn’t look at the contents beforehand either - I love a surprise

happytobemrsg · 05/12/2019 13:54

But I can see why people would check. £80 is a lot of money to spend of stuff you won’t use

I look when they first release the details and make a mental note of which calendars to consider - by the time it’s actually time to open them, I’ve generally completely forgotten.

TattiePants · 05/12/2019 14:58

For anyone who likes today's moisturiser, Tatler magazine has a 15ml ProMarine Cream as a free gift this month. I don't read the magazine but £4.75 for 15mls is a bargain.

Talisin · 06/12/2019 05:49

Well today’s arrives at just the right time as my current one is about to run out. It even looks the right colour for me!

Bumbl · 06/12/2019 07:55

Yes im excited to try today's. Im going away for the weekend so may open the 7th and 8th today to take with me!
