Kate Middleton/Duchess of Cambridge needs a professional makeup artist?

I have always been a fan. I think she is intelligent and very conscious of the way she presents herself. Lately I cannot help but compare her makeup to the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan’s makeup looks are a lot better/glossy/smooth. Generally photographs better. Kates eye looks age her a bit so does the harsh contour. Really feel like she needs a professional makeup artist.

She doesn't "need" anything of the sort. It's not a requirement of her job to have immaculate make up, for she is not a model. It is probably a requirement of her job that she looks presentable at work, which she does more than adequately. She looks like a woman in her late 30s, which is exactly what she is. There is no requirement for her to look younger than her years.

ZaraW · 23/11/2019 10:36

Really?! Maybe concentrate and "improve" yourself OP and not judge other people?

NerdyNightOwl · 23/11/2019 10:36

I disagree. She looks a lot older than her late thirties and I feel like it may be because of her eye makeup style. Just wondering if a makeup artist could make a difference? She definitely has the funds😉

Maybe she doesn't want to spend the funds. Maybe she doesn't like people touching her face. Maybe she enjoys doing her own make up.

AwdBovril · 23/11/2019 10:38

She doesn't "need" to wear makeup at all? Why should she?

ajandjjmum · 23/11/2019 10:39

I don't think it's fair to compare her to Meghan - she needed to know about make-up as part of her career, so will inevitably look good in photographs.

If Kate wanted to achieve that look, I'm sure there would be people who would be happy to teach her. But with three small children, it's probably not her priority - and may never be. To me, she always looks polished and appropriate, if a little safe, but I don't blame her for that.

NerdyNightOwl · 23/11/2019 10:39

Agree. I think minimal makeup may actually look great on her.

Horrible, horrible misogynistic post. Have you commented on William’s eyes? Prince Charles’? No. Because you seem to think women exist to please the eyes of others.

AwdBovril · 23/11/2019 10:41

Shock, horror. Woman in late 30s looks like she's in her late 30s. And you feel this is a problem why exactly?

CherryPavlova · 23/11/2019 10:42

Don’t be so nasty to other women. She’s a stunning woman who clearly loves life and has grown in her role.
Why should she be plastered with gunk to appease the media or fault finders? A few lines are signs of being alive and not somethIng to necessarily hide.
I’m no great Royalist but do think judging on make up,is about as shallow as you can get.

gamerchick · 23/11/2019 10:42

I wish I had the time to scrutinise people I don't know and will never meet. Maybe a hobby would come in handy OP.Wink

AwdBovril · 23/11/2019 10:42

So what is in fact your point, OP?

JeansNTees · 23/11/2019 10:43

How dare ye. Grin She's naturally gorgeous and spending money on someone who sits every day and listens to private conversations while working might not be her first choice. It wouldn't be mine either.

ClientListQueen · 23/11/2019 10:43

Maybe she likes her makeup as it is

PortiaCastis · 23/11/2019 10:43

Hey let's pull another woman apart, the Duchess may choose not to wear make up and that is her personal choice not someone on the internet's.

GladAllOver · 23/11/2019 10:44

Horrible, horrible misogynistic post. Have you commented on William’s eyes? Prince Charles’? No. Because you seem to think women exist to please the eyes of others.
Absolutely!
Stop judging any woman on her appearance. It's disgusting.

NerdyNightOwl · 23/11/2019 10:46

You are actually doing the same thing right now 😜

OP posts:
AwdBovril · 23/11/2019 10:47

The Duchess is naturally beautiful, has had 3 healthy children, is very disciplined, & seems to cope with the relentless scrutiny of her position pretty well. But sure, lets let's criticise her makeup application because she's female.

Are you with the tabloids & trying to distract from PA?

TopBitchoftheWitches · 23/11/2019 10:47

Is this you, Rose?

Redcrayons · 23/11/2019 10:49

I’d be surprised if she doesn’t use a professional make up artist. She has access to the best money can buy, so why wouldn’t she? I’ve always thought she’s A bit heavy handed with the eyeliner, but hey, It’s not my face.

She’s always dressed ‘older’ and looked a bit frumpy for it. But now she’s getting older she’s growing into that look. She’s bloody gorgeous.

Poissonpoison · 23/11/2019 10:49

has had 3 healthy children
Whata that got to do with the price of fish?!

NerdyNightOwl · 23/11/2019 10:50

Reading through all the nasty replies to a simple observation I posted, at least your comment made me laugh 😁

OP posts:
Waffles80 · 23/11/2019 10:51

Can’t you see the difference? You’re criticising another women based on her appearance. That makes you sexist, and stupid.

Other posters are criticising you for being sexist and stupid.

Hope that helps! Aim to work on the way you perceive women; try to go against centuries of misogyny and think for yourself. The world will be a better place for it.

NerdyNightOwl · 23/11/2019 10:52

Yea she is totally gorgeous! All that hair and the colour of her eyes - very pretty!

OP posts:
AdelaideK · 23/11/2019 10:52

I think she looks lovely. She's always smiling and looking genuinely happy too which is more than you can say for the rest of them.
