M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2019

Writersblock2 · 21/09/2019 15:53

Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

If you do want to know the full contents you can find them over at ReallyRee (SPOLIERS!).

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

I'm happy with today's offering. Love coconut and my legs could do with some moisturising so it's a winner for me.

SomethingAboutNothing · 12/12/2019 09:37

I used the filorga cream today as moisturiser and like it. It smells nice and my make up went on well over it. Can't see a difference to my usual moisturiser though so not sure it's worth the £££ price tag.

RingtheBells · 12/12/2019 10:09

Oh shit I opened box 13 today. Oh well now I know what's in "my" tomorrow box.

So did I!, also did on my Morris & Co one, realised when I got to my chocolates one and saw an unopened no. 12 Blush

eatsleepmoverepeat · 12/12/2019 10:24

I don’t do body butters so mine will be up for regifting/swaps!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 12/12/2019 10:27

I’m happy with this. It will be handy. My skin is so dry so I’ll use it. Although coconut isn’t my favourite thing at all. It’s not an expensive one today, these body butters are good, but cheap.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 12/12/2019 10:29

Strangely once rubbed in it smells pleasant and non coconut.

Strudelorcheesecake · 12/12/2019 14:51

Loving the calendar - running total so far is £125.06.

Biggest ticket items so far are the Aveda damage repair (£25) and REN (£21.60). Today's offering was the cheapest at £2.

Bansku19 · 12/12/2019 14:53

I don't use body butters so this goes to sil's hamper.

Trumpton · 12/12/2019 14:59

Thank you @Strudelorcheesecake for your addition and research skills .

DobbyTheHouseElk · 12/12/2019 15:06

I’m using it as hand cream. I’m going to buy this.

Dorsetcamping · 12/12/2019 16:31

Hoping there's a classic colour lipstick in there somewhere 🤞

wineoclockthanks · 12/12/2019 19:22

Not a body butter fan so another item for my niece.

ReeRi · 12/12/2019 21:07

I opened tomorrow’s and I like it 😬

Peachypips78 · 12/12/2019 22:11

Hi all. Bit late to the party this year! My favourite so far is the rose cleansing balm. Am enjoying it this year as much as the last couple.

circleorsquare · 12/12/2019 22:36

I've just started the cleanser and love it! My skin feels so lovely and soft. I need to remember to take my eye make up off first as it isn't as good as the Superdrug one I currently use but love how my skin feels. Shame it's more expensive then I usually pay

GreyHare · 12/12/2019 23:37

I'm hoping it gets a bit better, this is my first calendar and apart from the hair stuff on day one, and the rose cleanser I'm feeling very underwhelmed.

imabusybee · 12/12/2019 23:43

Off topic but can anyone recommend a good eye make up remover for waterproof mascara that doesnt sting?

panicovernow · 13/12/2019 06:47

I'm happy with today's. I'm pleased it's not another cream!

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 13/12/2019 07:06

Yay! Love the perfume! I was a bit Hmm when I saw it was peach scented (memories of Fuzzy Peach Body Shop bath beads!) but it's very subtly peachy and quite woody.
I always enjoy the Shay & Blue scents. Nice to have something different too

ReeRi · 13/12/2019 07:26

Yes I think today’s scent is really nice and I will use it. I just went to fine last year’s (as I actually have most of last years’s stuff in a box untouched) and I’m not keen on the scent we got last year. Did anyone else get last year’s calendar and like the scent?

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 13/12/2019 07:28

I did! I have liked all of them. There was an orange one that was lovely but can't remember if that was last year or the year before

HollyHocks13 · 13/12/2019 07:30

I love today's! So pleased to have got another Shay & Blue perfume and this is a really nice one. I loved last year's perfume too. This has cheered me up no end which I needed this morning!

Teabeautyandturning40 · 13/12/2019 07:32

Oooh loving the perfume. Smells gorgeous. Yesterdays has gone in my drawer to try once my usual body shop butter has run out. Happy with today.
@imabusybee I use the Nivea two toned eye remover, then one you shake to mix the oil with the Micellar water. I find that is good.

PartTimePunk · 13/12/2019 07:34

Yes - it is a bit like fuzzy peach from the Body Shop. Not that that's a bad thing! Lovely to have a perfume and not another face cream.

Writersblock2 · 13/12/2019 07:41

Loving the perfume!
