Which wedding dress?

Torn between 2! Which would you go for? The strapless with lace appliqués in or the all over lace dress with straps?

I am slightly leaning towards the strapless however I’ve slight reservations because the sample’s ill fitting around the boobs and I’m hoping it will look better when it’s made to fit me, but I can’t be sure it will look right. The dress with straps I do love but I’m just not sure it has the ‘wow’ factor.

Would love an impartial opinion

@Mumtobe193 yes that's what I felt about it - it could be much softer definitely. Can you carry on looking for something similar but softer neckline?

I'm really not keen on the sweetheart I think it draws to much attention and distract from the rest of the Dress x

In that case maybe have a look at Charlie Brear, Delphine Manivet and Kate Halfpenny dresses?

I think to be honest in trying to avoid trendy you’re picking dresses that are a bit done and dated at the moment.

The second one is my wedding dress!! So weird because I was stuck between two and the other was just like your first one! We must have the same taste. Both are beautiful!!

shithappens123 · 11/09/2019 21:07

Second one definitely

Mumtobe193 · 11/09/2019 21:07

@popsadaisy oh really! It is a really beautiful dress. Did you find it comfortable to wear? Just how ‘booby’ is it when it fits properly? 😂

The strapless one. Once it’s fit you will look amazing.

Toxicity1984 · 11/09/2019 21:13

Strapless. Once altered to fit you properly it will be fab.

itsnotmyparty · 11/09/2019 21:15

One

Mumtobe193 · 11/09/2019 21:17

I think one is out of the question for me now, I do agree with a lot of posters have said about it looking a little frumpy.

Think it’s between 2 & 3 now

@Mumtobe193 unfortunately I haven't worn it yet my wedding is in March 2020 and I haven't even had it fitted yet either (that's in November) so I can't say but I must admit I tried on A LOT of dresses and I did find it to be the most comfortable one. I'm just hoping the train won't get in the way when dancing etc! I also loved that fact that it is flattering but doesn't show every lump and bump of my figure like some of the figure hugging dresses I tried on did. It looks like we have very similar figures I am size 10 (dress is size 12 though) and size 34D bra

I think strapless is old hat now and done to death. However, I think it looks better on you than the one with straps

Itsallpointless · 11/09/2019 21:20

Just come back from dress fitting with my daughter. Hers had spaghetti straps, but we've asked for like a cap sleeve in lace to be added, they give it a sweetheart neckline which is very very flattering.

BoomZahramay · 11/09/2019 21:21

Second one!!

popsadaisy · 11/09/2019 21:22

Don't know if it helps to see it on someone else...
the last photo is a picture of the other dress I was torn between!

@popsadaisy I love the fabric of this dress aswell. I think it’s so flattering because it’s nice and thick. I tried on similar styles in crepe which is similar but really thin and shows every lump and bump. The material of this dress has the thickness of satin but is matte like crepe which I love, feels so expensive and nice. I also thought it was a little unique as it wasn’t all over lace like a lot of dresses in the shops at the moment and just had the lace train and the appliqués on the bodice. In regards to the train getting in the way while you’re dancing, the lady in the bridal boutique told me you could get a loop put in the back of the dress so you can bustle the train for the reception, might be worth asking your seamstress or the bridal boutique?

Both dresses look beautiful on you @popsadaisy but I think you definitely chose the right dress. Really compliments your curves!

Second one definitely! Both are lovely though

popsadaisy · 11/09/2019 21:38

@Mumtobe193 ahh thank you I am very happy with my choice! And I agree I do think it's unique, like I said I tried a lot of dresses on in lots of different shops and it got confusing because they were all so similar in the end but this one stood out from the moment I put it on!
And yes that's a good idea I will ask about the loop when I go to be fitted in November.

20viona · 11/09/2019 21:39

The second one by far.

MrsJoshNavidi · 11/09/2019 21:41

First one.

Leftielefterson · 11/09/2019 21:41

Strapless one OP - it’s beautiful and you look amazing in it. Your figure - wowzers!

HVnamechange · 11/09/2019 21:44

First one!

sheshootssheimplores · 11/09/2019 21:46

Prefer the second.

theunrivalledjoysofparenting · 11/09/2019 21:47

I love the one with straps. Beautiful and sexy, and you can also walk in it... not keen on strapless dresses...

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 11/09/2019 21:48

Second!
