Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

oops, sorry autocorrect decided I loved continents rather than I moved continents. I definitely moved ha ha.

Have today bought Dd12 and myself a Body shop one each. Dd had the mid price range one (£65) last year and I was really impressed. This year l’ve bought the mid range and the cheaper one (£45) as I preferred the contents to the deluxe one. Hopefully depending on the gifts we can mix and match a bit between us.
The boxes are lovely which is an added bonus, I think we’ll put the on the side board and trail some fairy lights around them.

Yeah, I caved and got the Liberty GWP. Justified it as I used the £175 purchase to get a head start on Christmas gifts. I am thinking I may hold off and see what advents go on sale. If I can avoid the twitch.

I’ve gone for the Liberty GWP this year.

Due to be delivered this week. I’ve always had a few advent calendars but I think I prefer this option, spend £175 on your choice of beauty and get the gift for ‘free’. I think the value is incredible this year and I was able to top up on some of my regular buys. Win Win!

I havent finished past the first post yet but omg a lush one? The idea of that sounds like heaven to me! 😍😍 I rarely buy it because there isn't a shop near me and so tend to leave it as a Christmas treat but if there's a calendar I may try get that and it the usual snow fairy overload 😂😂

Last year I got the m and s and amazon one (when it had gone down a bit). The amazon one I wasn't overly impressed with but it was ok.

This year I already have preordered my glossybox one and I've watched the last year's videos in YouTube. I wouldn't normally go glossybox but my best friend bought me a year's worth of boxes and I had credit to use so its only cost I think £30.

Ill likely get m and s again, and prob amazon depending on how it goes down (never full price, always black Friday or wait a bit longer to see if it goes down more) and I hopefully the lush after some investigations. Thanks for the heads up ❤️

Ah just read the magazine link and it's already sold out (and the price, eek!) snow fairy it is 😂😂

There are probably still Liberty GWPs in store. They allocate a certain number for online. I’m surprised they’ve put the price of the calendar up this year because they still had them well into December last year.

I've had the M & S calendar several times and loved it, but am thinking about the massive amounts of plastic included and debating whether I should go without this year

Is there anyone with GWP who got Superstitious perfume interested in swapping with me for the Diptych candle? I am not a fan of fig and I am a great fan of that perfume....

Gah! This thread is always so enabling! I’ve gone a bit overboard on calendars in the last few years, but I’ve not really bought any beauty stuff this year unless I’d totally run out of replacements (which shows how huge my stash is!)

I’ve had Liberty as my main calendar for the last two years but think it’s getting a bit samey. I think I’ll use the thread to inspire me to try something new. Off to do my due diligence!

I love the look of the Space NK one but it's a bit pricey. Does anyone know if the Space NK was one of the ones sold out v quick last year, or could I wait in chance if Black Friday reduction?

@SuddenBeetE, I get the Look Fantastic monthly beauty boxes and they are really good value for money and you get some fabulous stuff in them.

I got the space nk one with gift with purchase of crackers for spends over £315, 18 nov. Thought it was a great deal for the products and very happy. Don’t know if they’ll run it again - £25 gift card was in the crackers

Fortnum’s sold out by then, I dithered too long over that and it was sold out fairly fast
