Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

There is a good overview here: www.marieclaire.co.uk/beauty/beauty-advent-calendars-2019-39069

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it. Grin

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

Does anyone know when the M&S one is out? Need to decide which one I want!

Doesn’t help I just took out of a box all the stuff I got on last year’s M&S calendar and a Harvey Nicks beauty gift I got 🙈 Really shouldn’t buy more!

simbobs · 04/09/2019 19:52

My Elemis one is already en route. I have no intention of using it in December; I need some of those mini sizes for a holiday at the end of this month , and some for a weekend away next month and thought this was a good way of getting some good quality stash. So now what to get for December?

breaconoptimist · 04/09/2019 20:08

Fortnum’s sold out last year as value of products to purchase price is high. Space NK do a Christmas cracker deal in Nov - I bought the advent calendar then and got the Christmas cracker for spends over £315 (i bought some presents too), was an amazing deal.

breaconoptimist · 04/09/2019 20:09

If any of you do easyfundraising to good causes, fortnum’s has a fantastic donation for purchases.

Previous years I’ve had m&s, lookfantastic and decleor.

Writersblock2 · 04/09/2019 21:00

I don’t know which to get at this point (besides M&S). I don’t really want the Look Fantastic now. I like the look of ASOS but I’m waiting for the details of Feel Unique. Trying to justify Space NK.

Revolution (again.) I've had it the last two years and really enjoyed it. (Although their website has changed the price, it was £30 last week and now it's £50, it's normally on offer at some stage and will go back down to £30-25, so I'll buy it then.)

Nanasueathome · 05/09/2019 08:40

The Liberty GWP is available now...........
£195 spend required this year for free products worth almost £500

Nanasueathome · 05/09/2019 08:41

Perfume is included in the Liberty offer
I’ve ordered Aesop and Diptyque stuff

Alsohuman · 05/09/2019 08:43

It was £150 minimum spend last year. I won’t be bothering this time.

Strawberryfield12 · 05/09/2019 09:22

Liberty GWP is £175 spend, bought perfume for DH Christmas present and The goodie bag for myself.

breaconoptimist · 05/09/2019 10:03

Liberty also donates 2.5 percent of purchases to your chosen good cause on easyfundraising - worth checking out if you are buying online. Space NK has a 3 percent donation. Lots of kids schools are on it.

Shame not to collect the money for a good cause for big ticket items like these calendars!! Makes me feel a little bit less bad at least.

Chillichutney1 · 05/09/2019 11:10

Has anyone got a list of the liberty gwp items? I can only see the images. I’m torn between that and the spacenk gwp - they both look good but the spacenk one has items that have been in advent calendars before. However Space nk does have more interesting stock Confused

banskuwansku · 05/09/2019 11:10

I went Mugler counter and apparently there is something coming out at the end of September. Not a Xmas calendar but sometime better.

Soola · 05/09/2019 12:21

Beauty Advent Calendars 2019
simbobs · 05/09/2019 14:10

I have just received my Elemis calendar. Ladies, the box it comes in is massive -the size of a suitcase, so if it is a guilty purchase you might want to arrange delivery for when you are home alone. Apart from the Pro Collagen Marine Cream all other items are travel sizes (you do get to choose a travel size freebie as well), which was what I actually wanted. Now I just have to hope that the products that I have not yet tried are ok for my skin. The packaging must be a large part of the cost and it is high quality, so it seems a shame to throw it away, so I have kept it for now in case I want to reuse in some way.

Chillichutney1 · 05/09/2019 15:17

@Soola thank you! Now to decide between spacenk or liberty gwp

Nanasueathome · 05/09/2019 16:06

My mistake earlier, it is a £175 spend for the Liberty GWP
It was me who went over the top and spent £195

BishopFrownofStThigh · 05/09/2019 17:04

So let me get this straight...if you're sign up to liberty loyalty and buy the advent calendar you automatically get the gift with purchase? Or other way round?

Luvacuppatea · 05/09/2019 17:33

Sorry, no, Bishop - you won’t get the gift with the advent calendar as the latter doesn’t go on sale until October. The gift is only for as long as stock lasts, which will probably be a couple of days at the most......

Nanasueathome · 05/09/2019 17:36

No
At the moment Liberty have an offer...not connected or associated with the Advent Calendar
If you spend £175 on beauty products then you receive a free gift with purchase with a value of almost £500. The gift is a selection of beauty products as listed by pp above
This offer is on at the moment and for a very limited time
The actual advent calendar is not yet available

BishopFrownofStThigh · 05/09/2019 17:37

@Luvacuppatea I'm still not getting it, sorry!! So you spend £175 now and receive the GWP?

Alsohuman · 05/09/2019 17:38

You need to be quick if you want the gift bag, they go very fast.

BlueBilledBeatboxingBird · 05/09/2019 17:42

Yes, Bishop. Some people who have had the Liberty advent calendar before keep the empty box and replenish it with the items from the September GWP.

BishopFrownofStThigh · 05/09/2019 17:53

Thanks, that looks like a really good deal. I don't think I can afford it today but I'll look out next year!

Hope to hear about it from those who get it!
