Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

@Sammi38 & @FadingStar, I'm hoping mine arrives in the next day or so. I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned anywhere as no other calendar includes so many full sized products. I would never have heard of it if I hadn't stumbled across an unboxing video.

I caved and got the space nk one and a couple extra bits for myself so I could get that big gift. Arriving tomorrow.

I've been using a lovely face oil from space nk so hope I discover some new things!

It was an amazing find Tattie thank you so much for telling us about it. Like you I hadn't seen or heard of it anywhere. I've watched a few unboxing videos on YouTube. That Eltoria person seems to be the main one but I don't like her particularly. Insincere I think. I like one called ALittleObsessedUK.

Yea Eltoria annoys me too. I really like Lady Writes and Planning with Crystal is ok too when it comes to unboxings.

Eltoria drives me bonkers, not every advent calendar is 'knicker wettingly incredible and amazing and omg best thing ever!!!!' like you would believe if you watch her videos.

She also has shown herself out to be quite a horrible person (ditto her partner) after her advent calendar mess of last year and her 'reaction' to people outing just how bad it was. Cannot watch her without feeling irritated.

Diaryofabeautygeek is worth a watch, I find her quite weirdly relaxing. Soon to be wilson/Mrs Mercedes Wilson is good too and Sammy Louise and Natasha Summar.

I've just watched Eltoria's unboxing of the Beauty Expert calendar and it astounds me how she has 200k followers compared to Lady Writes 5k. It's probably because I'm 20 years older than her target audience!

I probably shouldn't have come to this thread! I had ummed and ahhed about the Space NK Calendar and then decided I really couldn't afford it. But then I saw the GWP so decided to go for it. Got 2 diptyque candles to make up the total. Going to use the gift cards for more candles. I figure I can only use one per transaction but even with the postage that's a £27 Diptyque candle for £6 . Going to give a candle and nice beauty gift each to my mum and sister as well as some gifts for friends.

The only other calendar I bought was Look Fantastic one. A dear friend is beauty and christmas mad and has recently had a shock breast cancer diagnosis, I knew she would love this calendar and she needs an extra special treat for her birthday. Only it was never posted and I was messed about royally by customer services until it went out of stock. I wrote a scathing review and it looks like they have now found ne one and it is due to arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed it does. Worst case scenario I will give her the Space NK one and I can get a cheap chocolate one from Poundland! I can keep a Diptyque candle after all!

I am now banned from the Neom black Friday sale. I need to do annoying things like pay my council tax and buy food .

I don't watch any Eltoria videos given her shocking and fraudulent behaviour about her own advent calendar. Talk about a scam artist.

Does anyone know if the space nk advent calendar has a gift card like the gwp has? I'm saving (well trying to)the calendar for January but don't want to waste the gift card if one is in it.

As for Eltoria😠. How did I not know about that scam and how on earth has she come out of it completely unscathed? Zoella's calendar still hangs around her like a bad smell yet Eltoria?? She comes across as very false and insincere but to scam your fans like that is awful! Especially as most of them will be pretty young I think.

So the lovely Elle calendar arrived for DD this morning - with a bashed box and bashed calendar. I'm sure the contents are fine, but that's not really the point!

Unfortunately my 85 year old Aunt accepted the delivery, and didn't query the damage - bless her.

Hopefully Heart will have it back and send a new one - worth the hassle because DD loved it so much last year.

Oh no @ajandjjmum, they should do, if you take some pics of it in the outer box as well and attach them. Most places are pretty good, fingers crossed!

Tbf I emailed straightaway, with pictures, and they acknowledged the email saying that they will respond within 48 hours, which is fair enough.

Fair play to Look Fantastic. They sorted it out and the calendar is here at last and it is gorgeous! Really luxe and solid feeling, I've had a peek and everything is nicely wrapped too. I want one for myself now! Space NK to arrive tomorrow I hope!

Wow the Elle one looks really good for the price! I'm not going to get it though as it looks like there are a few duplicates with the SpaceNK one, which I have already.

Just got the Elle one - couldn't wait for it to possibly not drop and also maybe even sell out as I really want to try almost all the products.

Also got Birchbox and a cracker as with the 20% discount it was such a bargain!

Now Ive got 3 and maybe even will nab one in Black Friday sale although that's probably a bit much....

Elle was my favourite last year and it looks just as good this year. I have tried (and loved) most of the products in it, otherwise I would be getting it again. I love trying new things. For the price it's really great!

My Birchbox calendar for DD arrived today, it is lovely, really good quality, sturdy and sparkly!! She was so excited, she can’t believe she has to wait 16 or so days to open it! For just over £44 it was a real bargain.

Birchbox and Elle both arrived today. Birchbox packaging is a bit bashed so I will have a look inside when everyone has gone to bed to see if the is calendar ok. Can't see any damage on the Elle packaging but will be checking that later too.

Surprised at how much smaller and lightweight the Elle box is compared to Birchbox. It looked really big on the unboxings on youtube. I guess the weight difference is due to the style.
