Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

Oh are we confessing. I have Liberty gift with purchase, Debenhams, M&S, ASOS and Look Fantastic advents. It’s an illness!

@woodhill but you had to spend more to qualify for it last year.

A PP asked why Liberty calendars aren’t sold out. As someone said, they have more in stock. I’ve only ever had one. The reasons I’m not getting it this year were:

• it’s an identical box inside and outside
• at least three full size products (votary face oil, diptique candle and nars bronzer) are virtually identical to my last calendar and haven’t been finished yet - 2 years later!
• I’d just like some variety and novelty! The men’s calendar has socks and a wallet clip. Why don’t they try that for the beauty calendar? A liberty print item like lavender bag or wash bag or mirror, even socks!

Woodhill I think they realised that a lot of people were returning the items they bought to qualify, so decided to lower the qualifying price so people would be more likely to keep them, and raise the price of the calendar. Makes business sense.

There are now so many spoilers on this thread just from the last few posts! Please don’t?

I got my M&S calendar into a carry-on sized suitcase. Liberty was too big so we decanted the boxes (DH did it so I didn’t see) and then took the big box on empty in a shopping bag. (I checked the suitcases in on Hands Free but they have to be carry-on sized to do that.)

I am thinking if I go shopping with dh this weekend I will get the advent calendar from Marks and Spencer's.

Well much to my surprise I have just had an email from Holland and Barrett letting me know that my calendar will be arriving today!

Genuinely surprised as they had said they sold out ages ago, so when I spotted it online 2 days ago I was very skeptical.

Might be worth keeping checking if anyone is still after one?

Please don't post spoilers on here! I've really enjoyed this thread but can't believe people are posting what the contents of the M&S calendar are before I've even received mine. Really selfish when it's not December yet.

I don’t know how you all can abstain from opening every single door and playing with the products, it’s very impressive.

Here was me feeling guilty with my Debenhams and M&S one. Just picked up the latter in store today and bought myself a coat I had my eye on for a while. Must make sure i use up last years in November. Cant wait for the thread. Is our daily calculator poster online this year that was my favourite bit :)

I’m really disappointed that the Look Fantastic calendar is sold out. I was sure after last year there would be a Black Friday bargain to be had. What to get now....

Oh no! Can't believe Look Fantastic has sold out. I've bought it for my DD the last 2 years running and she loves it. I thought I had plenty of time to buy it. I'm sure they had them left over last year and I felt a bit daft for buying it in October.

I've gone for the opi hello kitty one, I'm fussy with body products and make up, but need to replenish my nail varnish collection. Downside is obviously know what's going to be inside each door, but looking forward to seeing the colours.

A very sheepish and smirking DH just handed me the Space NK one...I'd been dithering.

Last night I saw the Cult Beauty gift and decided to go for that. So I now have £180 of stuff from Cult (OK, actually £215...), their massive freebie, and the Space NK calendar.

Time for a makeup clear out!

You lucky devil! My DH is so unromantic he just wouldn't ever think of doing that! (Great in other ways so I keep him around). The Space NK one looks brilliant.

DH bought me the John Lewis one which was reduced before Christmas last year, and I opened it throughout January. Loved doing that.
