Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

Which one(s) have you gone for so far? I haven't yet read back the thread from when I last posted!

@littlepooch - too many! H&B (it was too cheap not to, and I spent a load of points on it), Latest in Beauty and GlossyBox. I peeked at the contents of all three so I know I will use most. I tried to justify it to myself because I can take the travel sizes on holiday.

So yes, only M&S for sure now and anything else would have to be justified sales purchases. I like the look of the Cult Beauty one and Space NK.

I've been reading this thread on and off as I've been tempted by a beauty calendar but never bought previously. What are the best sub £100 ones? Say around £70ish. Or is it worth waiting until black Friday to see if any fall in price. I was tempted by the ASOS one last week when it was down to £63

I wouldn't wait til Black Friday - there won't be much left by then. Charlotte Tilbury usually has her previous years advent calendar on sale on her website closer to Christmas, after the current years has been launched. So the 2018 one will be on sale for £75 if previous years are anything to go by...

Which one you buy really does entirely depend on what you use at home. For example, I probably won't get the Liberty one this year because it has a full size face oil which I won't use and not enough make up (for me).

I'm more of a make up person but have started dabbling in to skin care so I suppose it will be a good way of trying new things.

Does anyone subscribe to monthly beauty boxes? Are any of those worth it or does it again depend on the box and the person?

What is the likelihood hold of getting a discount on the look fantastic one? They are always doing 20% off something or other?

I don't like the beauty boxes personally. They rarely contain standout products tbh. I remember there being a lot of shower gel and not very good quality face masks that I would be unlikely to use. And you start off paying £10 a month then they hike the prices.

Harrods went on sale today didn’t it? I’m thinking of skipping Liberty this year as so many of the products I’ve had in previous calendars. I’m really debating Harrods.

Looks like the fortnum and mason beauty advent calendar has sold out early again! Just like last year I’ve dithered too long.

Space NK launched today - now trying to decide whether to hold for an offer. Last year I loved the calendar and looks if anything better this year and cheaper.

I've ordered the Body Shop Dream calender for DD and it arrives tomorrow - she's going to love it!

I decided to go for Glossybox.

I am liking the look of ASOS.
The cult beauty one has really caught my eye though! I am trying to justify the price to myself.

I also like the Cult Beauty and ASOS ones.

Re the Cult Beauty one, I'd prefer that instead of ten gifts on Christmas Day, there was one fabulous one , e.g an Anastasia palette.

Does anyone know when the Net-A-Porter one will be release? It just seems to say October.

I've been trying to buy an ASOS one for DD for 5 days, and keep getting the 'Oops, we have a problem' message - driving me mad! I don't have an ASOS account, so maybe that's the problem?

DD bought me my first beauty advent calendar last year - the M & S one. I was a bit 'meh' - thought it would be filled with Magnolia bubble bath and Peach Blossom handcream. What a turn-around! I loved opening it every day in December, so much so, that DH bought me the JL one (in the sale!), for me to open in January. Loved them!

I bought DD the Elle one in the sale, which she opened in January, and loved too.

I’ve bought the space NK one, I used my ndulge points as part payment so not too bad.

Also interested in the cult beauty one, I keep trying to register my interest, but the submit button is continuously greyed out. Very annoying.

Does anyone know the date of when the cult beauty calendar will be released?

I tried looking online but nowhere is stating when :s
I signed up to the email to notify me when but I know that these things aren't always reliable so I think it is going to be the case of just regularly checking.

I quite like the look of the Grazia one but think that might be one to come down in price so will wait. Think £80 is too much although the contents look good.

I've read that sum up and I think in my budget in saying towards either the ASOS or the feel unique one 🤔 I was tempted by the MAC one but I've already got two of the full size gifts so that would be a bit pointless

Oh yeah, the M&S one is an absolute gem. They've moved on so much with their beauty ranges.
