Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

I have just bought the ASOS face & body calendar using a 20% off code, making it £56. The code is UCAMMURCIA. Something to do with Ovie from Love Island, apparently.

I was planning to buy Liberty this year but not really keen on the contents so will give it a miss. The Fortnum one looks unreal. And Cult Beauty wow! I got Glossybox last year and loved it but seems a bit heavy on cosmetics this year which doesn't interest me. I really liked Latest in Beauty last year as even though it had brands that were usual for beauty boxes they were full size and I used them all.

I decided not to buy one and bought a handbag instead. Reading the glossybox contents i thought i wouldnt use enough of it, until i saw the unboxing.. so i gave in and ordered 😁

Well, I have started with the Holland and Barrett because I had loads of points/money off and also Quidco, reducing it by a fair bit I will definitely be getting M&S. I’m now just deciding if I really want the Look Fantastic one or not.

I'm interested to see what will be in the Latest in Beauty and Elle calendars.

@Housewife2010 - any idea when the LiB contents will be released?

Writersblock2 They're on sale from 23rd September. I'm hoping they will reveal the contents before then.

LIB have a page on Instagram listing the manufacturers in the calendar - but not the actual products yet

I've ordered the Glossybox one again and am not looking at any spoilers. Will be looking for discounted ones once December has started - I got the Amazon one half price last year, and it was ok but not outstanding. Might keep an eye on John Lewis this time.

Well, I had a notice from Feel Unique saying their calendar can be pre-ordered. They have a free gift for orders over £125 but the calendar does not qualify towards this because it’s not shipped until October. This was the explanation on chat this morning so I told them it tipped the scale and I’d buy a beauty advent elsewhere.

Thought it may be useful for anyone else considering it!

@Gotthetshirt23 - thanks for that. Not impressed. Avon and Sally Hansen?! Only one that interests me is Juliette has a Gun. Unless it’s £20 in which case...!

I think I'm not bothering this year - perhaps I've been doing them for too long, but looking at this year's offerings so far, there's a lot of same old, same old as far as I am concerned. I was planning on splashing out on Liberty's, but even that doesn't excite me enough.

Perhaps I'm jaded - the last two Cult Beauty and SpaceNK GWP have left me underwhelmed to the extent of not bothering too.

I have sent boxes of stuff to the refuges this year, in London and Wales, and paying out for that has also had a limiting effect on future spending . I've been ruthless, but I still have years' worth of serums to use

I skipped last year, but I'm going for Jo Loves this year

Ooo I like the look of the Holland and Barrett one. I've been saving all year for an advent calendar as the Liberty one sounded so good last year; however It's just sooo expensive and I think I'll go for a cheaper option.

It is all more of the same for me so jotnworth it. There are a couple of little bits I'd like but will order them off eBay when someone else doesn't want them.

I will need something though, can't have a dry advent Dec!

Should have got a GWP as I could have bought things for others but too late now 😕

I might be tempted by white company or something else smell oriented.

However I did really like decleor a couple of years ago & still some bits to open!

Debenhams advent calendar is out. For £30 you get makeup. I skip this one because I like more face creams etc.
