I'm weirdly worried about it. No one else to ask. Is this ok?

DD's graduation - yes or no?

Also, of course I have reported. Again.

JoyceDivision · 12/06/2019 18:05

Lobster you look bloody amazing in the later pic you remind me of Melinda Messanger!!

You look amazing, the dress is very classy and summery and your hair looks fab, hope you and your DD have a brilliant graduation day. Star

teenagetantrums · 12/06/2019 18:05

Looks fine to me. I was at DD graduation last year. Loads of dresses like yours. Take a jacket for all the hanging aound in the cold while the graduates run around s reaming hugging and taking a million selfies

Paddy1234 · 12/06/2019 18:08

I did comment about the first photo looking a bit 'eighties' - however the second photo you look fab!

CJSmith2019 · 12/06/2019 18:14

You look absolutely lovely. Wish I looked half as good and had such a lovely figure! Definitely add a cardi or jacket as summer seems to have forgotten to come this year.
Have a fantastic day.

Itsagrandoldteam · 12/06/2019 18:33

Is that your real hair in the second pic?, because I honestly don't think that looks like a wig at all. Either way go and enjoy herself.

JesusHChristOnABike · 12/06/2019 18:34

Good god @lonelysleep, what a vile person you are.
Show us all a picture of you & we'll share our honest critique about everything you might be feeling vulnerable about. Then when you are clearly upset, we'll come back & stick the boot in a few more times.
No?
Doesn't appeal?
Can't think why not.

You absolutely will go to your daughters ball! The dress is lovely, you have a very enviable figure. I would also take a little cropped jacket just to formalise the outfit but you look amazing.

MaidenMotherCrone · 12/06/2019 18:53

Op you look lovely. End of! You get yourself to that graduation with your head held high and show your daughter how bloody proud of her you are and let her be proud of you.

You are here and you deserve only good things.

I am truly disgusted at some of the posters on this thread. I'm furious on your behalf as I'm sure your daughter would be too.

This is MN at its worst and it's vile.

Pommes · 12/06/2019 19:01

You look amazing - clothes, hair and smile. The wig looks like an exceptionally good blow dry and you look youthful. Congrats to your daughter on her graduation.

Alsohuman · 12/06/2019 19:20

OP, if anyone deserves to go to her daughter’s graduation and beam with pride it’s you. Please go in your lovely dress with your head held high, knowing that some of the nasty fuckers here aren’t fit to lick your boots.

MissReginaPhalange · 12/06/2019 19:39

@lonelysleep Patiently waiting for your picture so that we can all say our opinions, I'm sure you'll graciously accept all our honest truths.

OP, you are STUNNING. That dress looks like it was made for you! Please do wear that to the graduation, it looks beautiful on you. Your hair looks fabulous too, and the second picture you posted you look so effortlessly glam.

Congratulations to your daughter from me, I hope you and your family have a wonderful day celebrating her and her achievements.

Also, I have to say I admire your courage to post yourself on here, I know some comments were awful and they upset you but you've shown more courage than so many of us. Yes you wanted to seek advice, but even then not many of us would have this confidence, this is a testament to your character, you must be one tough cookie!

I wish you all the happiness and good health OP, here's hoping so many better days come your way.

lhastingsmua · 12/06/2019 19:44

Your hair looks lovely in the 2nd photo, so glamorous. Just what I had in mind re the thinner fringe & looser wave. Your daughter’s right, the nasty poster must really have had to analyse your photo to actually notice your hair.

I’m probably near your daughter’s age (22) and I would genuinely rather have my mum at my graduation over anything else - you potentially ‘embarrassing’ me wouldn’t even cross my mind at all, especially as you have been through a lot. I’m sure your daughter is extremely grateful that you’re healthy and able to attend her graduation so try not to pay any mind to those awful comments.

Pieceofpurplesky · 12/06/2019 19:44

You and your daughter are obviously two very strong and wonderful women. You must both be so proud of each other.
You will look amazing because, just from this thread, I (and many others) know that you are amazing and fabulous and fantastic.
Have a great day

hopeishere · 12/06/2019 19:55

Lovely dress. Super figure. A jacket or cardigan will look great.

Wig looks great in the second picture!!

Have a fantastic day!

dillusionaldog · 12/06/2019 19:58

Wow, stunning second photo, just beautiful.

Have a fab day and congratulations to your DD.

Nesssie · 12/06/2019 20:06

Your hair looks great in the close up! I take back my comments (which weren’t mean before anyone jumps on me) , it was obviously just the lighting in the first photo- the curls look great.
And you’re daughter sounds lovely! What a nice relationship you have.

From those messages, your daughter sounds as lovely as you do OP.
Hope you both have a fantastic day

PCohle · 12/06/2019 20:19

I don't think quoting Lonely's now deleted post so that it's still visible to the OP is particularly helpful.

I'm struggling with an outfit too, but you look fantastic.
