Blooming T-shirts it’s like trying to find the holy grail, next a couple of years ago did some really good v neck 100% cotton ones & a linen mix that I still have, yy the M&S ones are odd. Warehouse do have some linen mix ones but not seen them in RL.
😂 at cherries slipping n sliding running gear, but am in awe of the exercise regime.
Not poor Ds, it’s so hard when they are frightened, dgd is currently freaked out by flies which makes being outside a tad difficult at the moment😳

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 10:37

Love these - can't do link for some reason but you can search by name

But... you know what? If you love the Hush ones the most and you know you'll get loads of wear out them then I say just get them. Hush shoes are great quality.

Ninkaninus · 15/05/2019 10:38

I’m sorry, all, that I don’t tag everyone and comment on catching up on the thread, it’s just too much for my brain to remember names and so on, but I do send good wishes and positive vibes to those who need it, as I’m reading.

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 10:39

Honestly @dontcallmelen try Peacocks! My nutmeg white v neck ones are such a great fit and have washed well. Only £4 each. My similar Hush t shirt developed a hole under the arm within 6 months.

Ninkaninus · 15/05/2019 10:40

I really like Warehouse for fairly good quality for the price. I got a lovely navy jumpsuit from there not long ago.

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 10:41

Is it hot where you all are? It's scorcher here already. I'm in the garden having a cheese scone and a cup of tea. Absolutely gorgeous.I've actually taken my shorts out of hibernation today. My legs have been bruising immensely since starting the blood thinners but it's too hot to care, I look a bit battered!

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2019 11:29

Cheers Ella will have a look, I have a peacocks just up the road.
I had the same with Hush T-shirts, that’s what puts me off buying more.
Tis lovely here, if it wasn’t for the breeze it would be quite hot, I’m just debating ordering a pair of green Superga, I’m not really into trainers but they do look good with lots of things, anyone know what sizing is like?

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 11:38

Superga are good for wide fit, I am a 7 usually and size down to 6.5 for superga

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 11:40

Thanks Ella, I'll look more later but on first perusal of Superga I like these trainers, but they are nearly as expensive as the Hush ones ( clearly I have expensive taste s) 😆

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 11:45

these Superga are a bargain!. Not white though and I have the Hush pink brakeburn from last year

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 11:54

Have a look for superga through Office as you can often find a discount for office online

ilovecherries · 15/05/2019 11:55

Maybe it’s because decent shoes are essential for me, but they are the one thing I won’t compromise on, or look for cheaper dupes of. So...if it were me, and I knew that hush trainers worked for me (which they actually don’t, unfortunately), I would be buying ALL the pairs. And a trainer will fit into your new lifestyle post retirement as well. We were renewing our contents insurance on the rented house last week, and DH asked me if I thought we needed to list the replacement value of my trainer collection. I initially thought he was joking...

I am also sitting in the garden, with shorts on. It’s lovely here.

I’m afraid since discovering hush v neck cotton slub T’ I’m totally converted. I’m wearing the black today and it’s washed weekly. Doesn’t lose shape and they’ve all lasted really well. Totally different story with the printed T’s, thinner cotton and hit and miss whether they’ll still look good after a bit of wear and tear.

Old news now but I’ve received the wren in a 10, I reckon I must have got @huffs return Grin. I see why you all really like it now, and glad I waited for your feedback on sizing as the 10 is slouchy enough without looking too oversized. With my G cup I would have ordered a 12. Like it a lot and keeping.
And a pic of the starry shorts so you can see in RL in case you’re interested

No advice on trainers, other than to say superga are wide fit, agree with Ella and I’m not buying any trainers this season. I have 3 brand new pairs still to take out (2 leather from last years Hush sale and 1 from this year the white canvas ones which are truly lovely and I plan to just wash to keep looking pristine) so not looking lest I get tempted...
Tbh I’m not a natural trainer wearer, couldn’t wear for my work (except the Hush ones from last BA sale which are cream leather with a cut out pattern they’re smart enough) but in summer my usual default is sandals or flip flops and in winter boots. Shoes in between for work obviously.

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2019 13:06

Jacket looks great Soy & shorts are fab, back to the drawing board for me then if Superga are wide fitting, I’m the same not a natural trainer wearer either but I think another pair would be handy, I have white Stan Smith pair but think a pastel or khaki pair would be useful.

putthebinout · 15/05/2019 13:08

I just received the wren in each colour but can't make them work on me, I look like a badly dressed 90s student

putthebinout · 15/05/2019 13:09

Soy can I ask whether you size up in the T-shirt's or take your usual size? Thanks

ilovecherries · 15/05/2019 13:27

bin, I’m a size 12/32F and I wear medium in the tees. I could probably get away with a small, but I prefer a looser, slouchier fit. I did have some large ones and have just sold them, they were unwearable.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 15/05/2019 13:37

Shame you didn’t get on with the wren @putthebinout
Yes I take a M too in Hush T’s as that makes them lose enough not to cling in the middle and plenty big for my 34G cup. If you’re smaller than a high street 12/14 on top I’d recommend a S 👍

SoyYo · 15/05/2019 13:41

@len thank you! Yes if you want canvas instead of leather Hush does them in khaki (I have them in white) but again fairly standard to wide fit trainers. The canvas ones look very classic imho and are £36 which with the 10% discount still going not too bad...

GinandGingerBeer · 15/05/2019 14:57

Hello darlings! Sorry I've not been on for ages!
How is everyone?
Thanks for thinking of me @dontcallmelen Smile
All is good here, just been
A) skint and know how easily swayed I am
B) flat out with work and knackered!
I'm off to Fethiye in turkey a week on Sunday and can't wait! Contemplating the full length Santana in yellow. Anyone have it?
Will try and catch up on all your news xx

NotAnActualSheep · 15/05/2019 15:06

Oooh - nice trainer links ella - love those "very" superega's with the leopard bit at the heel. Though laska - I do tend to agree that if you really love the hush ones I'd go for them (esp if you can still use the discount) - they aren't a silly price given some of the other ones you are looking at... and yy to cherries - if you know they "work" with your feet and your lifestyle, shoes aren't really worth compromising on.

len - I agree that green/ khaki trainers are really versatile in the spring/ summer - especially with the haul of sage/ pink/cream goodies you got from primark (and the new navy trousers!). I can't help on narrow fitting, though I'm afraid...sometimes i find boden narrow/ small - but i don't even know if they have anything suitable at the mo!

By the way - if anyone wants a £10 boden gift voucher (to use by the 18th - spend over £30) let me know and i'll PM you the code Grin - Ive had a look and nothing is really grabbing me...

soy - the jacket looks brilliant on you! I'm doubting myself on the 12 now. It is verrrry big on me - though i still think that works for the style... (and I WAS a badly dressed '90s student Blush ). Like the shorts too.

Another beautiful day here - though we have a boiler chap in today doing a lot of clanking and dust generation - and our neighbours are having an extension built, and the cement lorry has just arrived - so it's hardly an oasis of peace chez nous. I may see if i can persuade DH and DS to meet me for dinner/ drink after my pilates this evening and we can sit outside for a bit...

NotAnActualSheep · 15/05/2019 15:09

Oh - yay! Hello gin - glad you're well Grin even if overworked. I know what you mean about being easily swayed. We had a bit of a kimono FOMO earlier in the thread...something else i never thought I needed, yet somehow appear to have bought. Your upcoming holiday sounds fab - the long santana would be lovely for swishing around Turkey. Not tried myself though...
