Sorry meant to say, hope you feel better soon.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 22:28

Also love that Warehouse dress - very nice. Warehouse are one of my favourite shops at the moment.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 22:29

@dontcallmelen love the trousers - will look forward to the pics.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 22:39

Ella I’m really pleased with them, not my usual style at all but they fitted really well except the length 😂 & I have been searching for a navy pair for ages (I’m a bit obsessed with navy at the moment) & get me, since I have curating my wardrobe they will actually go with things I already have.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 22:51

@NotAnActualSheep goodness I've just seen what you wrote about your son being bitten! Poor ds - is he ok now?

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 22:56

@GinandGingerBeer, haven’t seen you around for a while hope all is ok.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2019 23:26

Well placed a little order just to 'see' honestly!
Santana skirt in blue, white ledbury top and pale blue denim jacket. Really not planning to keep all. Just wanted something to try on and see. Was looking for a nice skirt but there arent many that appeal and i do like the santana but the black was out of stock in the midi so ordered the gorgeous blue.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2019 23:28

I also absolutely love the ledbury but it is in danger of going out of stock. So snapped one up in a 12. It does look a little see through with all the holes. Not sure if that will be a huge issue.

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 05:56

Not your poor DS,is is ok now? That's dreadful about the owner,
Twosoups sorry,I meant say something about your DD also, ( I'm far too stuck in my own head issues right now ) but good that she found the exams more positive that she'd had thought previously, it's such a hard time of life for them.

The Wren love, .,yes they are really fab, so glad I kept both, i wore the green yesterday to work, we can be more casual, but it looks good over a midi as well I think. Got complimented on it. There's both a blue and green 10 back in the stock pipeline ( so keep a lookout), as I sent back those 2 others I bought to get the discount over the weekend! ( They just love me at the post office 😂)

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 06:09

Never Ledbury top is lovely.. esp with denim shorts, . I tried the blue Santana early in the season, and the matching top loved the colour,( top didn't work for me) but could only think of navy to go with it otherwise,so didn't keep.
I still love the yellow T this morning but last night I dyed my hair pink again , it may clash!

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 06:22

I've just noticed that we are almost halfway through the new thread in only 5 days !! Gawd we don't half yabba!!

Anyway more of me .. reiterating what cherries said earlier about style and things not quite being right , I am also still looking for the perfect white trainers, they have to be leather, plain no logos and not chunky. The Hush cupar are actually them ,but so expensive, . But Can I justify £119 0n trainers ? .also wouldhow I keep them white? 🤔

Ellapaella · 15/05/2019 07:41

Ooh @Laska2Meryls I love a trainer challenge! Once I'm up and about, kids at school and dog walked I'll start having a look for your perfect white trainer.

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 07:45

Cool Ella( will you get them from your lottery winnings also 😄)
Ok pink hair yellow T , ok? Well I'm it looks like I'm wearing it today with new Santana anyway !

Laska2Meryls · 15/05/2019 09:07

Sitting waiting on meeting room being ready, just letting you know I did wear the new stripe Santana and yellow T along with my blue wren and my pale, blue Brakeburn trainers,. am feeling quite Swish!( And no-one has laughed yet!) Grin

ilovecherries · 15/05/2019 09:16

not, that’s just awful. :(

laska, love the hair, it’s very cool

I’m bought a few things from warehouse recently as well, a dress, pale denim jacket and a couple of tees, not a shop I’d ever been into before.

Well, I’ve just been for a (very slow) 5k. It’s HOT, my next purchase has to be running shorts, it’s far too hot for running tights, and last years shorts slide down my bum before I got to the end of the road, so had to come back and put tights on. I have also completely come to understand the use it or lose it maxim. I had exactly 12 weeks off running after surgery, and at 61, that was a LOT of fitness down the tube. However, I’ve run (shuffled) 20km in the last week since I started again, so hopefully it will get easier. Anyway, feeling virtuous :)

Has anyone come across good quality v neck t-shirts? Not clingy around the stomach so probably over sized? I have just gone through my clothes and need a major over haul.......starting with basics xx

ilovecherries · 15/05/2019 09:37

What’s your budget, peach? Next are doing v tops this season in their essentials range - haven’t seen them in store, it seems to be online only. M&S are doing slubby cotton ones, but I’m finding the v is too wide and deep. If money no object - then Hush ones are lovely.

Ninkaninus · 15/05/2019 10:10

Laska Jigsaw do nice, understated, unbranded trainers. Not too chunky. I believe they’re £89? Can’t remember if they have a white pair though.

You can use shoe whitening to keep them white.

NotAnActualSheep · 15/05/2019 10:17

Thanks for all the good wishes about DS - he's fine now (it was really only nipping) - but was shaken up. He is a bit of a drama queen, though, and was all "take me to hospital - I don't want to die from dog germs"... DH thinks that they both need to work on "dog management" - he's really not keen on them either and from his telling, they seemed to do everything wrong (running away and flapping). But he's still seething at the owners this morning, which is fair enough.

never - that actually sounds like a lovely outfit all together - the ledbury is really nice. I was tempted to order, but I keep thinking I should look out for similar in Sainsburys, as they usually have really nice cotton broderie things (though as we have established - almost certainly not as good as hush!). I like this and this from there, for example - but not had a chance to have a proper look in our local store this season. I have the blue santana (though not worn yet - must get it out in this lovely weather) and I reckon the colour is pretty versatile with tops and things i have.

laska - i love the combo of hair and yellow T - really fun! Glad you're getting use out of the wrens - and your outfit today sounds great! I'm rubbish at trainers - I do like the ones I have recently bought (veja) but they do have a little branding on the heel bit, and a V stitched in the side (white on white though so not noticeable). JL is usually good for simple, non-branded stuff... something like this or this or this for example?? Cant answer on the white thing, though! Apparently you can get white trainer polish which could work - but never tried myself. Maybe baby wipes every now and again would do it too? Baby wipes are the universal miraculous cleaner IMO. (If you find a way, please report back, cos I'll probably need to clean mine before too long - though I'm generally rather lax at these things....)

soy - I thought your DH had told you to keep the gudrun!! Surely you can't go disobeying him... Grin . It is lovely - as we've all said before Smile

cherries - I'm still immensely impressed at your running. Never mind it being slow - at least you are doing it, which is 100% better than me loads of people. lol at the fally-offy shorts, though. Shows how much your shape is still changing!

peach - I'm afraid I'd agree with cherries on hush tees being a really good, oversized cut. Though the fabric is sometimes a bit dodgy. their slub tees are generally better quality IMO than the "one-off" printed ones - though obviously there is some variation. Not cheap - but they do sometimes go in the sales. JL and Debenhams also do "dupes" of the slub tees but something about them isn't quite the same - annoyingly. Toast ones are amazing too - but they don't have any V necks at the moment - just deep scoop ones. And £££££ - though wash and keep their shape really well.

yy binky hope you're feeling better, and gin - hope you're OK too.
