Laska it's been 21 degrees, absolutely lovely. Unusual even in the summer in the north east to be able to sit outside at night but it was warm enough last night for my friend and I to sit outside my favourite restaurant and eat tapas and drink white wine - it felt very continental! She lives in Weymouth and was up here on a work trip - she wasn't expecting it to be so warm up here, so nice to be able to show off our lovely coast town in this weather.

I love that Santana skirt on you - goes beautifully with the yellow t shirt. Also love the animal print top. Looking good - are you keeping?

SoyYo · 14/05/2019 18:44

Thumbs up Laska really nice stripe skirt matching the yellow top, and the vest is very very good. If you had to choose I’d say vest is the winner, as you already have lovely skirts it will combine with (Santana and Marinas) and the print is so unusual. Wait til you receive the black Santana and decide whether to keep to go with the chevron vest and then you’ll see which combo you love best. I know just what you’re saying. When you’re low you want a treat. I’m the same that’s why I’m suggesting above.

@Ella looking beautiful in the vest/zebra skirt which has reminded me I have it in my wardrobe...Blush hopefully once I’ve shifted the rest of the weight it’ll fit nicely again! 🤞

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 18:45

@SoyYo yes get the skirt out for the summer! I actually think it's more of a summer skirt really given how thin it is.

SoyYo · 14/05/2019 18:49

Indeed @Ella and I have a zillion black tops (favourite summer neutral to me) to combine with, even a hush frayed black cotton jumper if it’s a chillier summer day.
Also how about the green snake? That would be the same weight no?Hmm

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 18:51

Yes I did think about the green one (think it's called the Florence?) I know we both have it. For me that one seems more of an 'evening' skirt though - but definitely could work. I'll give it a try.

SoyYo · 14/05/2019 18:54

Yes 👍the Florence! I luvvs it too, I think it would be fine for Day wear you can pick some metal accessories to match the tiny gold print but it’s not so obviously evening wear.
Thank you for posting the zebra, it’s opened up new summer options Smile

SoyYo · 14/05/2019 19:02

The attached made me Grin, thought you may see the funny side too (Soy=“I am” in Spanish. Soy Yo=“It’s Me” in Spanish 🤣)

😁😂

ilovecherries · 14/05/2019 19:39

I didn’t size down Ella. A 12 is fitting me fine. I think maybe laska was able to, but I’m def not near being able to do so. I’m a pretty standard 12 these days across the high street.

So my usual size should be ok? In my experience Hush jeans are fairly true to size unlike the tops and jumpers which seem to come up fairly big. Are you 5'7? Just wondering what the length is like as I am 5'7 and i think you are too?

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2019 20:08

ella I first ordered the10and the 12 Moritz the 12 was huge so I did size down and have regretted it! (as I havent yet lost enough weight) , so ( possibly stupidly)

I have have re-bought them in a 12 as I want to wear them now.(am losing weight again though, so in hopes ) But i must say this 12 is not so big as he first one I tried. (I definitely havent got fatter!) and so if I do keep the 12 (am hanging onto the very last send back day to decide as madly dieting), I will have two pairs as I now cannot send the others back , (if i do keep them I will have to hope that eventually resale value will be ok ..)

ilovecherries · 14/05/2019 20:14

Yes, I’m 5’7.

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2019 20:22

I'm 5'5 and like the length on me..slightly below mid calf

EachandEveryone · 14/05/2019 20:39

Today i received two plain Boden tshirts as I had a voucher so they were £10 instead od £20 and even then they are overpriced. Bloody horrible shapless things and really short in the hody. I cant be arsed to send them back so they will go straight into my nightwear drawer. Not a patch on last years Hush slub tshirts or, even the H&M ones at less than half the price.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 20:53

Laska I like all what you have bought, the vest is lovely.
Ella looking lovely, yy the skirt in my head I always thought of it more a summer skirt, as it’s quite a thin fabric.
Soy 😂
I am so pleased, I popped into a little local clothes shop & found these navy trousers reduced from £40.00 to £15.00 the fabric is wonderfully silky & drapes really well, no point in me taking a pic as they need about a foot cut off, but will do a pic once I have them altered.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2019 20:54

Hello everyone :)
Like the skirt and top @Laska. The zebra skirt looks great for summer. Like it with the vest.
Its been very warm here. Have been melting in my classroom. Heat, kids and classrooms are not a good thing! Anyway, i wore my kimono [ the short botanical one] and got complimented on it. It is so beautiful. Still to take a picture of the longer one and the hush embroidered jacket - seattle came today. it is beautiful. Although ££. I suppose the embroidery and gold kind of studs on it are why as it has beautiful detail and it is lined in the body with little dots. I also found it true to size.
I was browsing on the hush website and not sure i really am that keen on anything else. I'm really drawn to the light denim jacket but i know that i am always seduced to buy and for some reason never where them. I dont really know why!
@Soyo, what did you keep kimono wise?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2019 20:54

Lovely trousers melen. What a bargain!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2019 20:55

Oh ffs wear not where!!

Binkybix · 14/05/2019 21:10

Hi all!

Am currently laid up with a bad cold after bad day at work. Hoping not flu, but feeling very achey and sick!

Love the skirt Ella, and your purchase Laska. Lucky you’ve made room for them with your recent clear out Grin

Has anyone ever shopped from SugarHill Brighton? They have some lovely prints.

Binkybix · 14/05/2019 21:12

Also, I wore a tiger print, wiggle, midi dress to work today. Muted colours but quite out there for me. I enjoyed it :)

NotAnActualSheep · 14/05/2019 21:49

That dress is fab binky - really nice colours. Hope your cold doesn't morph into anything worse and you feel better tomorrow... Never heard of sugar hill - and to be honest, probably shouldn't look. I'm a sucker for a nice print.

len - what a bargain! They look great.

never - Im glad you like the embroidered jacket - it sounds (and looks!) lovely - would love to see a photo. Also glad the gorgeous kimono got a mention Grin .

each - yy - I know what you mean. I've had a few duds from boden in the past few orders (not bought from them this season yet, though). Really shapeless and short. Get it together -Johnnie...

laska - I love your buys!! The santana with the stripe is great. I toyed with that when I got the bright blue one - but thought the stripe would annoy me, but it looks lovely on you - esp with the yellow T. The chevron vest really works with it too - good call.

ella - thats a lovely outfit with the zebra skirt - really summery. Also like the palm print sweatshirt - gorgeous colour. But I can't believe the sunset one sold out so quickly! never must have set a trend!

soy Grin (or maybe groan?!) at the milk. Thanks so much for your kind words and the link to gardeners. I'll have a browse... (we do have a friend who's a gardener - he only does the "posh bits" of Edinburgh now (long story) but he has suggested some of his mates so I should give them a call.). The foxes are fine - the adults can get out easily (jumping up onto our shed Hmm and onto the wall behind - and there's a cemetery at the back and some woods further over), but the cubs won't be old enough to do that, and there aren't any obvious holes in the fences between gardens. I think hey may use it as a nursery because it is so enclosed (and lots of overgrown shrubs to hide under!) - there were 3 cubs last year and 2 this year. The mother is a bit sh*t - one of the cubs was scratching at our patio doors (reflection, I assume), and I went over to see what the noise was. The mother scarpered PDQ - but left the cub to fend for itself from the jaws of us scary humans - no carrying it away by the scruff or anything. But we just don't want to antagonise her... Anyway - I digress. I think you'll like the wren - it is definitely silky, and I reckon if you get a smallish size it would definitely be good for work as well as casual.

libby and cherries -YY - I know what you mean about sometimes hush being the only thing that will do! I can't get t-shirts from anywhere else now - and hush ones aren't even that good quality - but the shape and necklines just seem to work for me...

We've had such a lovely sunny and warm day today - I went out for a quick walk at lunchtime to get some chocolate and I was sweltering. Hope it stays nice for a few more days... But it was all spoilt when DS came home from school in tears (DH collects him as its on his way from work) - a dog had run up to him (he hates dogs) and actually bitten him on the bum 3 times Angry - there was a bite mark and everything. Apparently the owners found it very funny - though they did apologise - but scarpered soon after, along with their "funny smelling cigarettes". DH was on the verge of doing something that would have got him in trouble... DS was traumatised, and the whole thing isn't going to help his dog-phobia, which I'm trying to get him out of. Grrr.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 22:26

Not oh noo how bloody awful for your Ds, in hindsight probably better they did scarper than than Dh beating the s* out of them poor Ds hope he will be ok.
Sugar Hill, do some pretty things, think both me & dd have some tops.
The wren is also sold out at the moment I was soo tempted as well.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 22:27

Binky lovely dress, warehouse do have some gems sometimes.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 22:27

@Binkybix yes I have a couple of stripey tops from Sugarhill Brighton - very nice and excellent quality.
