@NotAnActualSheep the Wren fabric gorgeous right?! So soft and luxurious. I keep imagining it as part of certain outfits so I will be glad when my new one arrives and I can join in the Hush love. So pleased you like the moorish kimono. I'm hoping it works over the Tatiana swing dress... I've been wearing mine around the house and just love it

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2019 10:56

No Chamonix the larger Moritz have arrived ,I am wavering but think I will keep them, I suppose that may be defeatist but my weight s does fluctuate so much , the Smaller chevron top also arrived , it's much better .. .

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 11:04

Laska aww so sorry you are feeling stressed, maybe you do need to go back to solicitors, it might help you getting it ‘out’ & hopefully they could advise the way forward/timescale etc I feel your pain had something similar a few years ago & nearly drove me over the edge💐
Not yy hormones the general feeling of malaise, I’m really suffering with sodding night sweats again at the moment, it’s pants isn’t it when you feel out of sorts, could you possibly get in a gardener to give it all a cut back/tidy so that it would make it feel more doable, I’m a rubbish gardener though I usually wander about making daft suggestions & paint stuff.
never jacket looks fabulous, looking forward to pics.

NotAnActualSheep · 14/05/2019 11:10

Ah - bless mini-soups! Thats a really nice thing to do. Glad you had a lovely long relaxing bath - mmmmmm Grin. And sorry to hear your DD1 is still struggling with exams. Though it still sounds as if the school is on it, and aware of any signs to be concerned about - which must be reassuring.

yy huff - it is much less denim-y than I was expecting - in a good way. I think the kimono will work as outside-wear (if that is a Thing) but not sure I'm brave enough to try. Need to try on with a few things i think and work out how to style it. But it's so scorchio today, the thought of getting into and out of clothes is not appealing (I'm not naked mumsnetting, btw - just think it needs close-fitting clothes underneath, and today is more of a wafty-skirt kind of day...). I think it would look good over the tatiana dress - though my style decisions are not to be relied on...

laska - so sorry you're feeling stressed. Don't feel that you can't let off steam here! We are all more than willing to listen and support where possible, as you know Grin . Your outfit sounds great - I think you should keep the moritz - you can wear them comfortably now, and it seems hush jeans (esp. current season) have a pretty good resale on eBay if you do want to sell them in a month or so. And glad the chevron top is a winner this time!

NotAnActualSheep · 14/05/2019 11:13

len - thanks for your kind words. Yes, we do need to get a gardener in - we keep thinking of doing that, but its never the right time... I would like to use the garden in the summer, though Grin . Its a shame the previous owners (retired) were such keen gardeners and kept it looking lovely, but it is quite high maintenance!

twosoups1972 · 14/05/2019 11:15

Thank you sheep

laska how stressful for you Flowers Please don't feel you can't talk about it here (if you want to), we are all friends and support each other through life's ups and downs. Your outfit today sounds fab btw.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2019 11:22

soups aww glad you had a better end to your evening & that even though dd had a bit of meltdown about exams, she managed to do it hopefully once exam season is over & schools out, she will feel a bit more on a even keel🤞🏻

twosoups1972 · 14/05/2019 11:25

I hope so melen I just hope she will get an A for English to secure her place at her first choice university. It will give her a real boost if she gets it. Her first paper is next week, luckily with the texts she is more confident with. Then second paper after half term.

Hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine today Smile

ilovecherries · 14/05/2019 11:33

Today I am very lopsided. After a breast reduction and lift everything is placed very high on the chest, in a very round shape, and over the next few months, as the swelling goes down, the breasts settle into a more normal teardrop shape and position. All fine in theory but one side is significantly further along in that process than the other. Took off my compression bra this morning, and I was ‘wtf happened there’ as one side seems to have moved down two inches overnight. All compressed again now, but had one of those ‘what if he’s put them on squint moments’. (Even if he has, it’s still worth it, btw)

cherries sounds as though healing is going well though, maybe one side is able to ‘recover’ quicker & the other has yet to catch up? The important thing is you are happy & it’s been worth it for your health & wellbeing.
I’m off to meet dd & dgd for lunch & then to the park.

LibbyJeffries · 14/05/2019 13:12

De-lurking again to report 10% off and free delivery/returns with SUMA10.

Am tempted by another pair of girlfriend chinos. I have the washed green but would love the pink too. Extortionately priced but they fit the best of all the chinos I tried in my exhaustive search last month. Dammit.

Still waiting on my coral-themed Brand Alley parcel. Do they always take so long to deliver?!

Ninkaninus · 14/05/2019 13:18

Ohhhhh coral/peach is my favourite colour for this summer! Looking forward to seeing your pieces. Smile

LibbyJeffries · 14/05/2019 13:29

Nink nothing terribly exciting and I'm not convinced it's the colour for me so it all might end up on eBay!

ilovecherries · 14/05/2019 13:55

I find brand alley to be very true to their predicted delivery time - but that is often several weeks. I suspect it’s because they don’t hold stock, but just provide a platform and then pull the stock from manufacturers/distributors/retailers as they sell it.

Have ordered the palm print sweat top after missing out on the lovely pink one that @neveradullmoment99 has. Will be nice with jeans for summery evenings and breezier days.

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2019 15:32

Oh no, Ella, I now have a slight case of FOMO !! .. (but I don't need any more sweat s)
I ventured into M& S lunch time to check out thier khaki linen blend striped T , looked good online and on the hanger ,but as is so often the case, it just isn't quite right..the neck line slightly weird on ( sort of loose /floppy and not really either boat neck nor scoop and fabric was weirdly transparent on . Disappointing.

SoyYo · 14/05/2019 15:49

What a day! Only able to stop and catch up now, pesky pesky work Grin

Well @laska @not @huff you’ve done it now! I spotted a Khaki wren in a 10 and thought of the Grazia code (still works) and pressed the buy button Blush you are very dangerous and hoping I’ll hate on receipt. I love khaki and only have a denim MV military jacket but too casual and Hope the wren will be work appropriate AND casual. It was the fabric “silky” description that totally enabled me (in my defence your honour).

@ella it’s a great print the palm sweat! I thoroughly approve and look forward to seeing it.

@Libby yes BA take bloody ages! Angry I’m encouraged by your comment on girlfriend chinos as I bagged a pair in the sale (neutral/cream coloured) but they must be old season so looking Fw to hearing what you think of the pink ones

@laska I know just what you’re going through Flowers

@not it was lovely to read you. You do make me chuckle!

@cherries sorry about the boob sudden insecurity. If it’s any consolation I have lopsided breasts (one bigger than the other) I think most women do, few are perfectly symmetrical

Sorry if I forgot someone (yes! @soups and her lovely bath bomb and @justi with boring din dins) but another work Tc calls Sad
Later Hush friends! 👋👋👋

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 16:15

@Laska2Meryls I have the same every time with M&S tops and jumpers - they look lovely but just don't seem to hang well on me. Re the palm sweater, I'm getting because my love embroidered heart sweater from last year has a bleach stain on it, stupidly I wore it while swilling the loo with bleach and now it has a pink mark. So gutted as I loved it!

ilovecherries · 14/05/2019 17:10

I know, I searched everywhere for cropped jeans to avoid paying Hush prices, but nothing was quite right in the way the Hush ones were. Same with the M&S Vere neck tees - the vee was just too wide.

Haha, soy, there is asymmetrical and then there is the vision that met my eyes when I took the compression off this morning. It was actually like I was wearing someone else’s chest on one side 🤣. I’m sure the other will catch up, I just need to ensure they are hoisted appropriately till then.

Sitting in the garden with a cup of tea after a pretty full on day at work. Wearing my Hush zebra skirt from last winters collection - have to say it works for summer too as it's pretty thin.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2019 18:28

@ilovecherries I am really admiring those Moritz jeans on you and seriously contemplating a pair. Reviews say to size down, do you agree? They are only on pre order now so don't really want to order two pairs if it'll be weeks for the return.

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2019 18:29

oh Dear. I really shouldn't order stuff , when I am feeling stressed and sorry for myself, It is potentially ruinous...Hmm

Here is the navy stripe Santana and yellow T, I have surprised myself by really loving both! (I didnt think I'd like the stripe) . And it still also looks good with other colours I think ..(excuse un-ironed blue T and messy front bedroom which is still full of bags for the charity shop )..

Also here is the Chevron Animal print vest , which I have now decided looks better with navy than black.. Keeping it all I think..(if the Hushistas agree)

.... And yes, I am definitely keeping the Moritz in 12.. (as well as the smaller which I cant send back anymore,..)

(Also there's the linen Ombre top and black Santana still to come! Blush)

@not I forgot to say. If you’re short of time or gardeners you could give this website a try, it has a section for gardening jobs. Try it.
I did once and it’s free to register. Once you do and choose the type of job the website gives you a number of tradesmen (gardeners in your case) who are registered with the site and interested in jobs/quoting in your postcode area. You can see their details, qualifications and customer recommendations before deciding who you would like to invite to quote for the job. Then they’ll contact you via email or the phone you post. If you don’t want to do it that way at least once you’re in You can find people who may be candidates to do the job and you can contact them separately (if they’re a Ltd status trader you can google them)
Sorry about the post totally non fashion related but it is a good way to start and you can take it to job completion too. I needed some roof cleaning/maintenance work and used the site. Found the right people and they did a great job. There are also some cowboys registered there but once they pop round to look and quote you’ll soon be able to tell the wheat from the chaff by just asking questions and more customer recommendations (hopefully local). The good ones may even have a FB Page where they post their recent jobs.
Good Luck and hope you get it sorted to enjoy the summer sun. You can mention your concern about the foxes. RSPB May be able to help re-home the little family to a safe place too.
