Yes @justi I remember we were in Queensland well off the beaten track when we were told off in a couple of bars for daring to have a woman in the public bar Grin. And Port Douglas was really quite a small town then, no cruise ships that I can remember but just a few small boats that used to earn a living by taking people snorkelling to the barrier reef atolls...and I remember a lovely beach there that had those weird little crabs that used to turn up the sand. I’m going back 31 years so no wonder the crazy hoardes are there now. I’m glad I saw it when it was still unspoilt and the barrier reef is simply awe inspiring 🐟🐠🦀🐬

SoyYo · 12/05/2019 22:54

I think I vaguely remember the wooden church too. That is amazing! And we just parked our camper van in a campsite right next to the crab beach. Bet that spot is prime real estate now with the amazing sea views and beach and full of swish places. But at the time it was more of a chilled out, a little shabby round the edges lovely place...

Laska2Meryls · 13/05/2019 07:29

I am just not that well traveled.. have had a few EU trips in my misspent youth , but a bad first marriage decisions (EA and when i finally managed to leave , I lost the lot) and then being a l/t single parent meant was never really been able to afford much until the last few years,

But . things got a lot better and (might be even better if it wasnt for my Hush habit!),so I am planning t make up for that now ..Ready to be a Saga-lout!!

ok its 6 weeks to the holiday, I really really have to get a dieting grip.. !! LC bootcamp starts today , I am back in .but am going to do it the MM 800 cal way .. .

Laska2Meryls · 13/05/2019 07:54

Going back today is the 'BonMarche' type top and the animal chevron (which I didn't show you ,did I?) have reordered it in a size smaller , and will make a final decision when the black Santana arrives..

Id like a navy Santana , but I'm not sure if i like the side stripe on the one they have..wish they made it plain .. Also the stripe one is more expensive .. Anyone tried it ?

Also going back ( naughtily) is a size 10 blue Wren (just ordered because i paid 10% more for it last week) , with the invoice for the one that wasn't 10% off...( am doing the same with the green also , which I do realise is bad, bad, esp for people who are waiting to get one. ) .. BTW wearing the wren out yesterday I was so pleased with it , I shall wear the green one today, .What i like is that it has 6 pockets!! , fab, .. and so well made...,unlike a lot of their stuff right now..

TwistinMyMelon · 13/05/2019 09:09

Don't know if this is allowed but selling these jeans one at if anyone's interested...

I also LC Bootcamping for a couple of weeks while DH is in Colorado for work. (Green-eyed monster is rearing it’s ugly head right now.) I am LC/Intermittent carbing (*not intermittent carving which is what autocorrect seems to want!) as I have put on a kilo or two lately. It goes straight to my tummy and neck. Why is that? I am going to visit friends in Melbourne for a long weekend in a few weeks and I want to look my best.

Ninkaninus · 13/05/2019 10:01

I’ve joined up too. I’m at my limit. I want to have a happy summer of feeling well, and fitting nicely into my clothes!

Laska2Meryls · 13/05/2019 10:19

Cool we can all encourage each otherSmile
I am off-island today, ..
And since my clear out I'm just a total Hush style model,! (Only a tad older and fatter)
Today wearing green wren, khaki fat Face scarf navy slub T , navy Moritz and yes, once again- those brilliant and bargainous Chester trainers ( they go well with my DMs amber necklace that I am also wearing)
Beautiful day out here on the water..

dontcallmelen · 13/05/2019 11:05

Laska you sound very stylish today, those Chester trainers have really been a good buy I love it when that happens, I think cherries may have the navy marina.

Ninkaninus · 13/05/2019 11:10

I’m still in my dressing gown this morning. Blush

Watching Frasier and chilling! Such a luxury.

I don’t know what I’m going to wear today...I’m feeling a little despondent. Realised yesterday just how big my belly’s got!

Ah well, it’s a beautiful day.

dontcallmelen · 13/05/2019 11:16

Nink I’m still in my pjs as well, I’m doing some more spring cleaning so that’s my excuse. Aww wear something you know really suits you that always makes me feel a bit better & it is a lovely sunny day.

twosoups1972 · 13/05/2019 11:22

Morning all.

Enjoying reading about all these lovely places, I always think people are so lucky who live by the sea. My mum had plans to move to Bournemouth as a child but it never materialised. We spent two extended periods of time near Bournemouth, one when I was 7 and one at 14/15......I went to school there and we rented a bungalow with the hope of selling up in London. But it didn't happen unfortunately. I can't complain about where we live though - our road looks anything but 'London'. We're in a leafy suburb with plenty of countryside on our doorstep but still in easy reach of the tube (dh works in Central London). I'd love to have a beach hut one day though, somewhere to escape to.

Dd2 has her first GCSE exam today, I'm taking her to school soon.

twosoups1972 · 13/05/2019 11:24

laska would you recommend the Chamonix trousers? I am tempted by the camel ones.

ninka I love Frasier! Especially Niles. When we were first married and living in our old house, dh and I would watch Friends followed by Frasier every Friday night. Happy days!

justilou1 · 13/05/2019 11:35

Wish DD Aussie luck from me, @Soups!!!!

Ninkaninus · 13/05/2019 11:39

Ok I’ve picked my outfit for today.

T shirt from whistles

Jeans from M&S - not the actual ones on the pic but very like them

Leopard print trainers from KG, like pic but adults version

Jacket probably isn’t needed but I will feel more comfortable wearing one. Hopefully a couple of weeks of no carbs and my belly will have started melting away.

soups Frasier is really clever and really hasn’t dated much at all.

Ninkaninus · 13/05/2019 11:44

Also I used to think first thing I’d do if I won the lottery was buy a beautiful handbag. Actually that is still the very first thing I would do. Second would definitely be a beach hut in Bournemouth.

dontcallmelen · 13/05/2019 11:48

Nink love the outfit for today👍🏼
soups yy Niles & every good wish & luck for dd & exam.
I love the sea as well must be lovely to have it on the doorstep, my part of London is very leafy & some really good parks on my doorstep & countryside isn’t that far, I’m on the edge of Kent but can get into LB/CX/Vic in about twenty minutes.

dontcallmelen · 13/05/2019 11:53

Yessss, if I had the funds definitely a beach hut not decided where though I veer towards Whitstable, Suffolk, Dorset at the moment.
Shoes lots of shoes & fabulous jackets & maybe a mulberry, dunno though not really into bags.

ilovecherries · 13/05/2019 11:57

laska, which panama I you buy. I prefer the colour of the one with the navy ribbon, but the crochet one with the black trim looks more malleable. I’ve decided I need a decent hat, as they are crucial when you have no hair!

ninka where is the jacket from? It is really nice.

justilou1 · 13/05/2019 12:12

I’m buying a mountain lodge when I win lotto. Oh, and boots. Lots of boots. And another dog - for my dog. I will probably need a big, old monster truck to drive around the mountain with my dogs in the back, but I will be sitting on a cushion and looking through the steering wheel.

SoyYo · 13/05/2019 12:13

Great outfit @nink and @laska
I’m homeworking and have hush long sleeve black v neck T with zebra joggers. Comfy if not super stylish.
I’m so pleased I’ve lost 4kg (that’s over half stone) on the fast800 in a week and that’s with a day off on Saturday which with the wine/pizza/ice cream and huge Caesar salad I had I thought I had totally undone the good work...but no. Admittedly the ice cream was a tiny scoop, I restricted myself to 2 wine glasses and the pizza was homemade but still...I was a little bit hungry at times last week but it’s given me the motivation to continue till I shift that stone and then focus on maintaining.

Meant to tell you about the Hush denim shorts. Ordered both long and shorter star ones in 12. Both fit fine, not at all tight. I’m keeping the star ones because shorter length is more flattering on someone who’s only 5’3” tall and also unusual. I already have other denim shorts (plain) in a 10 and Hush black denim shorts in a 10 so once I lose the weight they’ll fit too and the star ones will be more “slouchy” but with a belt on will be fine.
I’m a bit shy of showing myself in shorts to the whole www, even though I don’t mind doing so when I’m more covered up so you’ll have to forgive me for lack of selfie this time.
Instead a pic of my garden after our efforts yesterday. It’s still a little wild as I like my life to be Wink but the violas I planted yesterday are looking good on this sunny day.

@soups Good luck to DD! Looking forward to seeing your Whistles leather jacket.

Have a wonderful week Hush friends!Flowers

If I won the lottery I would buy each DS a little house so they wouldn’t worry about mortgages or rent.
And then I would travel. Travel and Travel, all round the world.
And I would have a custom Trike, and many many more leather jackets! Grin

Ninkaninus · 13/05/2019 12:40

Oh if we’re doing general lottery plans then my list is very very long (my OH laughs at me - I only play the Euromillions because the national lottery jackpot isn’t big enough for me! Grin Grin

  1. Buy a Chanel or Dior handbag (maybe one of each!)
  2. Buy a beach hut, plus a house or flat, in Bournemouth
  3. Buy a Mustang
  4. Get on a plane home (Denmark) and buy a house there
  5. Start being sensible and make plans to buy house or flat for each of my daughters
  6. Travel
  7. Try not to go a bit crazy...
