I’m an M&S 12 (just about still fit into the 12 - need to get back on it with the low carbing!) so really approaching a 14 I guess, with quite big boobs and quite hippy. I got the size S, and it will fit me perfectly once I’ve lost just a few pounds. Whistles comes up really big. I originally got the M and had to return as it was huge, I could overlap it across my boobs!

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 18:25

I like that one, soups - quite sleek, cinched in at the waist which I like, not too much hardware, and it’s cropped quite nicely so you can wear it over dresses as well.

Worth a try! It can take a while to find one that suits, it’s so variable from person to person depending on body shape. I like it.

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 18:38

Actually soups I’ve just tried it on and it fits perfectly now for wearing without doing it up. If I wanted to wear it closed (I usually don’t) it would be better with just a few pounds off.

dontcallmelen · 11/05/2019 18:44

soups ooh like that one, reiss usually have some good ones as well.
Nink I confess its also shoes with me, not so much bags or trainers though, I have about fifteen pairs of sandals & afraid to count how many pairs high heels I have, I did put about five pairs of sandals in the charity bag & need to have a further cull over the weekend.

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 18:54

I’ve seen two leather jackets at Reiss recently that I really, really wanted. Suede, though.

len I’ve reduced my overall shoe count by around 50%. Going to try not to get hardly anything new this year. But I’ve always got at least 10 pairs (or at least vague ideas of style and colour) that I want, at any one time. It’s hard to not be constantly on the lookout for that one perfect pair of .

dontcallmelen · 11/05/2019 19:15

Nink I’m like a blooming magpie, always attracted to sparkly pretty sandals I have every colour apart, from a really useful tan leather ones.
Also always usually wear heels when I go “out out” as I’m only 4ft10” trouble is I have no where near the social life I used to have, so gawd knows why I feel I need so many.

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 19:23

I’m like that with shoes for work, I just love having a wide variety of interesting shoes. Most of them very high. But my feet are starting to protest now, so I’ve decided to go a bit lower for work and keep the more challenging heel heights for events and going out.

I had to get rid of one of my favourite work pairs, I keep having to resist fishing them out of the bin bag...

dontcallmelen · 11/05/2019 19:37

Yy feet protesting, I have metal pins in my right foot & now it’s taxi to bar when I’m wearing quite high heels & I can just sit admiring my beautiful shoes😂

ilovecherries · 11/05/2019 19:51

Given trainers are the only thing I can wear, I’m dreading the day the trainer trend ends. I will still have to wear them, I just don’t look cool Grin

Oh no !! , I feel like the Hushista Total Lush here !.. Only joking, .. (and I am comforted to know that my good friend Soy also likes a small Wine...)

So arrivals today,....
Hush floral linen T.. I saw this in JL earlier in the season.. But perhaps I was having an off day! Tried it with my paprika Santana , and it looks like in wearing something out of Bonne Marche, old BHS or Edinburgh Woollen Mills .. Yup, its that bad on. So disappointing..

Animal Chevron vest Hmm I can see what they are getting at here, and it looks ok-ish with my black Marina, but ....I am not sure, its probably going back.. I will post a photo tomorrow for you to tell me what you all think

Blue chino shorts (sz 12 , I couldnt go lower in these they are v slim cut) are ab, fab, fab, fab ..great colour , sort of smoky/faded, lovely fabric ..Def keeping and looking forward to getting the green now when they are back in stock.. (if you order these , they do come up big on waist but pretty slim on bum and at the thigh. luckily sort of fit my shape, - inverted triangle - shorts dont always ).

I am also pleased to report that I can still get into all of last years shorts also!) The extra podge I have gained is waistline and norks o

whiskyremorse · 11/05/2019 21:00

@Laska I am a Hushita lush too but sadly on call this weekend so it is a one drink evening. But next weekend I have something on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so my halo will drop off then.
Im making an effort to book in social events as I find it too easy to be a hermit and drink wine in front of a film.

Ninkaninus · 11/05/2019 21:05

I like a glass or two of wine of an evening. Not every night though, and if I find myself feeling like I need some, I tend to skip it for a while.

Having a glass now! 🍷👍

dontcallmelen · 11/05/2019 21:10

Laska I reckon I could be a hushsita lush & join you, but I think the meds contribute to giving me horrific hangovers now & I can’t cope with mad head/stomach anymore, also have very low tolerance to alcohol & get very squiffy very quickly couple of G&T’s & I’m dancing on tables.
Yy getting out whiskey very easy to get into being really socially inactive.

Ellapaella · 11/05/2019 21:50

@Laska2Meryls I am joining you in Lush activities.. am away with girlfriends and have drunk far more than I should or really that I want to. But I'm having fun so I don't feel guilty. Bottoms up! We have a hot tub and prosecco so all is good in the world SmileWine

whiskyremorse · 11/05/2019 22:29

@Ella sounds perfect. Enjoy!

Disclaimer - was too windy to set foot on the beach. We sat in the pub and had lunch and I may have had three glasses of rosé. I don’t tend to drink much.

Laska2Meryls · 12/05/2019 07:05

Happy mothers day Lou it looks fab there, I've pretty much always lived by the sea and really missed it when I didn't. Live on an island now !
Have never been over your side of the world, but DH and I have started seriously thinking of doing a NZ camper trip next year.. ( yep realise it's a long way from you )

Laska is this the tropical T-shirt??? Bon marche is EXACTLY what sprang to mind when I received this too! Absolutely awful! I stood there for a while thinking do I like this but god no it's so cheap and nasty!

justilou1 · 12/05/2019 07:47

One more before I leave!

Hushistas shiver in their summer clothes.
Laska2Meryls · 12/05/2019 07:56

No put it was this one but agree the tropical does look like it could have the potential to be the same ! Another I was really disappointed with for fabric quality was the cactus T shockingly cheap feeling..

Some Hush quality has really gone downhill this season sadly, I think they are losing their touch in some areas

Laska2Meryls · 12/05/2019 08:00

I ordered the linen Ombre hoodie yesterday also, .. Long shot , but let's see..

justilou1 · 12/05/2019 09:03

@Laska - I will probably be flamed for being unpatriotic by every Aussie on Mumsnet, but NZ aid stunningly beautiful and if I had the choice of a camper trip around Australia or NZ I would choose NZ for certain. The distances between places are MUCH smaller and I think there is more untouched beauty there than here. We have unfortunately ruined a hell of a lot. NZ has a lot to be proud of for quite a few reasons I’d best avoid on public forums. Needless to say, I’m a massive fan of the place and you will LOVE it!
