I could have spent £1000 in Zara yesterday - I didn't, very restrained but everything was gorgeous and I never usually say that about Zara - can be very hit and miss. I'm worried I'm chanelling my old 20 something me as it's all cami bias cut slip dresses and Ghost style dresses and lovely baggy chambray trousers which remind me of Dash. And if I had a wedding to go to, which I don't, there are beautiful halterneck chiffon voluminous maxi dresses in vivid colours. Anyone else loving it?

Yes I love a cami!
You have bought some nice bits, the pink trousers are gorgeous.

Fazackerley · 04/05/2019 07:41

I went to Zara in London a couple of weeks ago and my very fashion forward size 6 16 year old thought it was shocking, as did I as a fairly-fashionable-for- age 50 something.

I love Zara but the last few times I’ve walked in and walked out. I actually keep finding some great pieces in Warehouse

fancynancyclancy · 04/05/2019 07:42

They also annoy me because like so
many high street stores they cut their dresses short (i’m 5ft 9) however they do cut their trousers long.

fancynancyclancy · 04/05/2019 07:43

Warehouse has some lovely pieces at the moment (keep browsing online). Is the quality good?

TapasForTwo · 04/05/2019 07:43

I have small boobs but have never seen anything in Zara that I would buy. It doesn't help that my local store resembles a jumble sale and I really can't be bothered with rummaging.

Sorry OP but I don't like any of the clothes you have posted.

niceupthedanceagain · 04/05/2019 07:46

Is this an advert? All the clothes here are not to my taste at all, they look like they'd catch fire if you walked too fast.

fancynancyclancy · 04/05/2019 07:47

The stores are hard to shop in I agree, better to browse online.

JMAngel1 · 04/05/2019 07:47

No worries Tapas, I don't tend to blend in with the crowd - never have really and love an unusual shape.

niceup - of course not an advert - just wanted to share what I git/lusting after - harmless gossipy thread!! not sure Zara need to worry about advertising.

I also didn't really like any of those pictures. But then again, I mainly wear my clothes from Collectif, Hell Bunny, Lindy Bop and Lady V!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 04/05/2019 08:03

Definitely not doing it for me I’m afraid. A hard pass.

MaybeitsMaybelline · 04/05/2019 08:03

I like Zara, it’s an odd shop but I like it. I like that many things are just a bit different, that it doesn’t really have a specific look where everything is the same each season like bloody Next which is awful.

I like the random shoes on the bottom shelf too.

BikeTart · 04/05/2019 08:04

Much of what I've bought from Zara over the years has been poorly made and not cheap even if I've liked the design.

My local Zara (medium sized City, UK) is always so badly presented both my adult DD and I check at the door before we go in, and usually walk away - literally everywhere you look there are clothes left on the floor in heaps, unfolded and chucked everywhere, it's shocking.

The best thing I ever bought from there was about 12 years ago in South of France, a gorgeous retro leather Safari jacket.

JMAngel1 · 04/05/2019 08:04

Oh I loathe Next too Maybe.

I Agree OP, having to avoid it atm due to lack of £££ this month :/

Have to disagree with a PP about having to be straight up and down, hourglass shape here and it's my go-to shop. Always find something I love.

ShirleyPhallus · 04/05/2019 08:09

Oh I love Zara. Fantastic for blazers for work and camis.

I absolutely hate Cos and hobbs, just a lot of shapeless stuff in dull colours to me

dimsum123 · 04/05/2019 08:09

OP, do you work for Zara?!

I have never liked their stuff and still don't after reading this thread!

But horses for courses etc etc!

fancynancyclancy · 04/05/2019 08:10

See I also love Cos but I’m quite a fan of the sack with heels look 😁

JMAngel1 · 04/05/2019 08:14

Of course I don't work for Zara! Blimey there's allowed to be an ongoing Hush thread on here for years, but Zara is out of bounds?!
I hate Hush - huge sizing and massively over priced. Everyone looking like clones of each other and falling for mindless marketing White Company style.
Just trying to mix it up a bit!

englishdictionary · 04/05/2019 08:27

Why are you advertising Zara 🤷🏻‍♀️

JMAngel1 · 04/05/2019 08:27

Oooh that's gorgeous Fancy. I didn't see that yesterday - would be perfect with tan slides for day then tan high heels for night. All the broiderie anglaise I saw yesterday was lovely thick cotton - should be beautiful.in the flesh and a great cover up for hot sun.
