What?!?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/05/2019 20:27

Really Bertrand? Why do you think that?

BertrandRussell · 05/05/2019 20:31

Well, it makes sense. He is 97. And you wouldn’t want both announcements on the same day......

DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/05/2019 20:32

I hope not, that’s really sad.

UrsulaPandress · 05/05/2019 20:33

🙄

SenecaFalls · 05/05/2019 20:33

I do hope not. He will be 98 next month. He's already Queen Victoria's longest living descendant ever.

SwimmingintheDeepBLUESea · 05/05/2019 20:35

I think the Queen going to church in pink was code....

Grin don't go starting that rumour. There are too many already!

yellowalstroemeria · 05/05/2019 20:38

Well, the queen was at church in yellow today Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/05/2019 20:38

You aren't forced off the perch at 97.

yellowalstroemeria · 05/05/2019 20:38

Oh no, scratch that- old article Blush

SwimmingintheDeepBLUESea · 05/05/2019 20:39

Argh the thread moved on in the 10mins I was distracted!

Why on earth do you think that Bert ? I mean we all know his health has been failing for a long time but why on earth do you think it is going to directly conflict with a babies birth announcement. The odds are pretty small that they'd both happen at the same time.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/05/2019 20:39

Yellow well that settles it - she's having a canary and is going to call it Tweety-Pie.

Stravapalava · 05/05/2019 20:40

Or you know, she could just not have had it yet?

allworthwhile · 05/05/2019 20:44

He's already Queen Victoria's longest living descendant ever.

Huh?

JaneEyre07 · 05/05/2019 20:47

I'm wondering if she's had the baby and there have been problems... I can't see them announcing a birth if the baby was in special care or similar?

There was a gossip thread online to this effect that fairly quickly disappeared, and some betting companies have stopped taking bets on the baby as they are claiming to have "insider knowledge" that the baby is already here.

yellowalstroemeria · 05/05/2019 20:53

I would think a thread pondering the health of a baby or mother would 'disappear' because it's very insensitive, rather than anything sinister.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 05/05/2019 20:57

If the baby has born it'll probably be announced tomorrow.........
& knock the Line of Duty finale stories off the front page (that's if they would be front page on a tabloid?)........
Or maybe not.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 05/05/2019 20:58

Baby is probably very comfy tucked up inside Meghan's womb oblivious to all the fuss she/he is causing.

floraloctopus · 05/05/2019 20:59

I think it's a bit insensitive to say that about the D of E but then I may be a bit over-sensitive as I am expecting that news about a close relative any day now.

itswinetime · 05/05/2019 21:02

I'm sure it was a Thursday or Friday the palace confirmed the baby wasn't here and that they would let the press know when she went in to labour (I have been on nights this week so i maybe a little out on my days.) I don't think the palace would outright lie to people they would just keep quiet.

As of yet nothing has happened that we know of that is anymore than a couple waiting for their baby to arrive. Whatever you think of then I feel for them normally it's stressful enough with everyone texting to ask if the baby has come but to have this level of attention and speculation must be intense.

NaturalBornWoman · 05/05/2019 21:12

I'm wondering if she's had the baby and there have been problems... I can't see them announcing a birth if the baby was in special care or similar?

I think they would just say, they have no option really, she can't stay pregnant for ever. I think she's probably not even 2 weeks over and is choosing not to be induced yet. It's the likeliest explanation so the one I'm assuming.

Apparently, Prince Philip is the oldest ever male Royal.

“I think it's a bit insensitive to say that about the D of E”

I’m very sorry about your relative. But I really don’t think speculating Bout the DofE is anything like as insensitive as speculating about surrogates refusing to give up the baby.......

floraloctopus · 05/05/2019 22:07

Bertrand I agree.
I've just seen that there is a programme at 9pm on Channel 5 on Saturday called 'Secrets of the royal wardrobe'

Gooseysgirl · 05/05/2019 22:33

Well if she's not had the baby yet, that episode of Line of Duty might have done the trick 😄
