That was meant to end it's all so subjective not sure what I did there.

SleepingStandingUp · 05/05/2019 13:47

She could have been due April 30th and not even be a week over. Maybe she worked from home for a few weeks or she wasn't feeling well enough to continue working. She wouldn't be the first woman to have an idea of how she'd feel that didn't tally with reality

floraloctopus · 05/05/2019 13:48

Frimley Park doesn't have any private (as in paid for) facilities but I'm sure it would close off a 4 bed ward for Meghan.

If not, the women in the ward would have a story to tell at dinner parties for years.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 05/05/2019 13:51

Quite funny considering some people thought she was due in Feb/March!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 05/05/2019 15:21

I had the most bizarre dream last night about Meghan. I dreamt she gave birth to a giant bottle of perfume, called the baby Magic & did the photo shoots at an Estée Lauder counter in both John Lewis & Debenhams.
I did fall asleep reading a The Perfume Society magazine. So that probably explains why Smile

DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/05/2019 15:46

I still think she was showing very early. Strange how some people show early, I was 20 weeks and had nothing to show for it. But my midwife said it was my strong stomach muscles.

I’m hoping she is ok, overdue or otherwise. NHS or private birth, it’s still a strange time in your life.

TwitterQueen1 · 05/05/2019 15:48

Can't find the baby name thread so posting here instead. Apparently the latest favourite is Ivy. I'm going for Mary.

yellowalstroemeria · 05/05/2019 16:00

Ivy is very cool. I definitely think it'll be vintage-y.

Apparently the bookies have suspended betting. I read that on Twitter though, where I also read that their surrogate is refusing to hand the newborn over

Japonicaflower2 · 05/05/2019 16:06

I still don't understand why PW went to NZ for only two days? Seems an inordinate amount of money for such a brief visit. Why then? If there is a Wales' war going on surely trying to time it with MM finally giving birth would have been an option, or is that too obvious?
I think it'll be called Precious, Priscilla or Hermione - or is there really a proscribed list of approved names?

Sorry for all the questions!

floraloctopus · 05/05/2019 16:23

I had a bizarre dream last night, I was driving to take photos of H&M's baby when I got out of the car to try and find the house my car rolled back into a sinkhole and my break down company (who are waiting for my renewal!) refused to come out.
I was doing baby photos yesterday so that is probably why.

AudacityOfHope · 05/05/2019 16:26

Wasn't he invited by PM Ardern to attend an event for the victims of the mass shooting in NZ?

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/05/2019 16:26

@Japonicaflower2 Apparently he went at the invitation of the NZ government but both princes seem to be doing things very randomly in the past few weeks.

floraloctopus glad I'm not the only one having bonkers Meghan dreams Grin

itswinetime · 05/05/2019 16:33

New Zealand requested a royal visit after the terror attacks the queen can't do travel like that anymore Charles must have been busy or may also struggle with that amount of travel in a short space, so it had to be William really it needed to be someone appropriately senior.

Proper state visits take ages to organise and clear the schedule so I'm guessing 2 days (plus travel) was all that they could fit in with his other commitments. Timing it with Anzac Day was pretty fitting to.

I'm not sure a reply I'd sure I will come but only if we time it so I'm not around when Meghan gives birth would have gone down well with the New Zealand prime minister Wink

itswinetime · 05/05/2019 16:33

Oh I missed they requested him by name I thought it was just a royal visit requested my bad!

Japonicaflower2 · 05/05/2019 16:44

Thanks!

Whoops75 · 05/05/2019 16:51

e but only if we time it so I'm not around when Meghan gives birth would have gone down well with the New Zealand prime minister wink

🤣absolutely

SleepingStandingUp · 05/05/2019 17:00

surely trying to time it with MM finally giving birth would have been an option well I'm sure he's not hanging around Frogmore pacing the corridors so I'm not sure him being in the same country is going to put her off her stride.
Also it'd be seen as a competition for limelight.

SevenSeasofRye · 05/05/2019 17:05

So much for global warming Flying William out to NZ for two days to look concerned and shake some hands is the biggest load of nonsense I've heard for a while.

SwimmingintheDeepBLUESea · 05/05/2019 17:06

The NZ visit was special circumstances due to the terror attack they had had and NZ requesting royal visit. So although somewhat wasteful in terms of travel expenses and fuel for just two days, it was also necessary and the right thing to do. Longer trips take too much planning and organising. The jet lag from doing it must have been awful though.

If will's &Kate are doing less at the moment they may have deliberately reduced current engagements so as not to have other important royals work forgotten about if SussexBaby turns up that day.

SwimmingintheDeepBLUESea · 05/05/2019 17:12

People are nuts! ShockGrin I don't even get where this idea could come from. It's just bizarre. What reason do they have (or imagined) for her not being pregnant? The mind boggles.

DoulaDaisy · 05/05/2019 17:18

I love all this 'Meghan HAS to be induced today', do you know her due date? Did you know that you DO NOT have to consent to an induction just because you are 40+10/14 depending on the hospital? You can opt for daily monitoring instead and keep an eye on baby and placenta function.

NaturalBornWoman · 05/05/2019 18:52

Well based on that old chestnut of announcing just after Eugenie's wedding, so about the 15 October she should have been due around mid April. So either she announced waaay early or is at least 2 weeks over.

The 15th October is 29 weeks ago tomorrow. So no, that doesn't mean she announced waaaay early or must be at least 2 weeks over. It means she probably announced at the usual time and that when she said end of April to beginning of May she was being as truthful about the likely delivery date as she could, given that 38-42 weeks is term.

TwitterQueen1 · 05/05/2019 20:20

I think the Queen going to church in pink was code.... Wink
