Resemblances are definitely weird. My sister and I look very similar (to the point that random strangers will stop us in street etc) and yet... objectively, she looks like our mum and I look like my Dad. It's really odd.

She ALSO looks a bit like Princess Diana. Those Mario photos someone linked to recently always freak me out a bit because there's a real similarity with my sister (and I showed one in particular to DH once and he was shocked). Ditto, I think harry and my brother look similar. And when Charlotte was younger I felt her and DD had a similar look. I'm increasingly of the opinion that at some point we must have some Spencer blood in us somewhere. probably an illigitimate by-law of some earl back in the day

I really hope for Megan's sake that the baby hasn't come on princess Charlotte's birthday. I can just see all the ranting about how Megan did it on purpose or should have held it in until at least midnight tonight so it was at least the day after, etc.

Who knows? Perhaps Kate said 'ooh how lovely, do feel free to announce it on Charlotte's birthday if it comes then it'll be lovely for them to share the day!' Because you know, they are family despite rumours of a non proven rift and probably not altogether so terribly petty that it'd be a huge deal in RL.

mother I meant with the press / public. I'm sure they're just happy she's safely had a healthy baby. Charlotte will either be excited to have a new baby for her birthday or totally indifferent.
It's not like we're cancelling street parties for Charlotte being 4 but she'll still be accused of limelight stealing on purpose

Charlotte may well be delighted to get a new baby cousin on her birthday! She's four, it's probably very very exciting stuff at that age.

No one cares about people sharing a birthday. No way would W&C care if the baby shared Charlotte's birthday. Agree that if the baby has already arrived and they choose today to announce it then it shows very poor judgement from H&M.

I suspect baby arrived yesterday & they will announce tomorrow with photos.

I hope they don't announce today, it would be poor form. Sounds like we might get an announcement tomorrow though!

Poor form. My niece was born on my son's 6th birthday and tbh they're thrilled to share a birthday.

It can surely never be poor form to announce the birth of a baby. It's not like it would overshadow the Charlotte Day Parade or anything.

Not if she gives today Seneca but if she had hi. X days ago and then waits for Charlotte's birthday to announce. Charlotte way won't know, her parents likely won't care, but Meghan and Harry will get accused of trying to ste the limelight in her birthday, male their none princess more important than an actual princess etc.

There will totally be a "To think you don't announce your child's birth on their cousin's birthday" AIBU within 5 minutes if it's announced today.

I would imagine, if photos are being taken today then baby was born yesterday or maybe even the day before and they've had a day or two to recover and enjoy their private time. Then yes, an announcement tomorrow is likely given that they'll take photo today, need to do their photography wizardry stuff, approve them and then go ahead and get them out there.

They should've sent DoC to take the photos
