What a fab coat and hat Sara Chatto has on ❤️.
Best dressed young royal for sure.

BlingLoving · 02/05/2019 07:46

I don't like that outfit on camilla. She looks much better in longer jackets and more flowing styles. It cuts her in half. And not in a flattering way.

I like Harry and Meghan bu4t really hope baby not here. Because if it is and they've been keeping an elaborate secret I honestly think they need to get over themselves (And, as I said previously, I feel same way about non royals too).

Inniu · 02/05/2019 07:54

That outfit of the queens at Badminton is very old lady for someone who was in her 40s

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/05/2019 08:07

It really is isn't it? The tights especially.

I got around to reading the HRHDuchessKate blog today finally re yesterday's engagement. And I think I'm really tired of the "uniform" being the same, very expensive dresses, in different colours or with minor changes. If she wants to wear a uniform, then why not just wear the lilac Emila Wickstead dress that was a bit more interesting. why pay to have a whole new one made and adapted? Ditto with coat dresses - she has enough now so could easily just manage at most engagements wearing the ones she's already got.

Broadly, I have no issue with royal family spending lots on clothes etc, but this is actually ridiculous now. She doesn't need an entirely new outfit, that looks almost exactly the same as 5 other outfits, for every 2 hour engagement.

Spudlet · 02/05/2019 09:12

Those are some aggressively sensible shoes too. And those headscarves! The horsey set in the days before technical fabrics were a sight to behold Shock

crabb · 02/05/2019 09:14

The lilac and green are horrible colours, and the style very dull. She can do so much better!

Spudlet · 02/05/2019 09:15

BlingLoving I feel similarly - it feels really wasteful, especially when we're all supposed to be trying to be eco-friendly and not buy as many new clothes and things. I don't begrudge them new clothes, but I don't think anyone needs that many, especially when they're often virtually identical outfits, frankly. She must have so many things that would have been appropriate, and that wouldn't be recent repeats!

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 09:17

I was talking about this the other with my DS, how there was pretty much a set uniform for women of different ages - you got to a certain age and adopted the blue or purple rinse and polyester flowery dresses that were shapeless. I can't find a picture now but all women of a certain age seemed to wear them and go for a weekly set at the hair dressers and leave with their fetching plastic tie on rain cover over it.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/05/2019 09:22

talking about her visit in Hyderabad
( She sounds exactly like Kate, especially when she says excited!)

queenofarles · 02/05/2019 09:27

Margret looks FabulousGrin,

I think the Queen is wearing the David Hicks scarf,

motheroftinydragons · 02/05/2019 09:57

Who is that in the flat cap in the 70s picture? William looks just like them whoever it is!

I think Charlotte face has elongated as she's grown which makes her look more grown up. She's lost that toddler roundness to her face. She's a pretty little girl.

SlipperOrchid · 02/05/2019 10:04

In the photo taken in the nursery, Charlotte looks very like the little girl in green!

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/05/2019 10:10

@motheroftinydragons I think that's Lord Snowden, or Viscount Linley as he was then.

Triglesoffy · 02/05/2019 10:20

Charlotte is the spit of Sarah Chatto - which is great as Sarah seems to be a wonderful person!

queenofarles · 02/05/2019 10:21

That picture of the royal family in the 70s , is a bit gypsies on Caravan. I just love it!

RhubarbIsEvil · 02/05/2019 10:24

The second shot is Sarah and Edward at nursery for the Royal Family documentary.

curlywurly. I love the paintings on the wall. “Now children, draw a picture of your home” and they paint a palace GrinGrin

RhubarbIsEvil · 02/05/2019 10:30

I don’t think that’s David A-J in the flat cap. There is only 3 years between them and Sarah looks about 9 in that photo. I think it is Andrew and Edward’s head is peering out of the top just in front of him.

RhubarbIsEvil · 02/05/2019 11:14

Totally! And - Meghan and Harry: take note...

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 02/05/2019 11:19

Just saw what looked like Official photographers laden with gear go in the gate of Frogmore Cottage.
Lots of Wardens converging and discussing strategy for coping-
Chatted with some paps that have been lurking and they said rumour has it baby has been born...
Flowers
Looking forward to the pictures!

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 11:22

There's certainly a strong resemblance which is odd to me as Charlotte looks like the Queen and Sarah Chatto doesn't.

Resemblance is an odd thing though, my eldest looks like another relative in the family when they do specific facial expressions. What is odd is that they have only met said relative (because they live in Canada) when my DC was about 3 weeks old so it's not learnt from them.

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 11:23

xpost with mumsie ooh, exciting. Do keep us posted without getting arrested for stalking the DofS

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 02/05/2019 11:28

@floral it was very exciting...
we did our best to eavesdrop but in the most middle class disruption ever I had to go home for my Ocado order...

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 11:29

Ocado order?! Get your priorities right Grin
