This reminded me actually that my DD and her baby cousin share a birthday too. It was DDs birthday a few weeks back and we got a message at lunchtime saying that they'd have to miss the party because baby had arrived that morning.

It was lovely news and we all went, awwww they share their birthday!

Saying that, DD had originally stolen the birthday thunder anyway because she was born on the new baby's Dads birthday too! So we have my DD, baby's Dad and baby all with the same birthday in our family.

Babies. Total bloody limelight stealers, the lot of them!

pinkladyapples · 02/05/2019 13:45

I think an announcement tomorrow. Pictures today, baby born yesterday or Tuesday even.

SenecaFalls · 02/05/2019 13:46

Grin at Charlotte Day Parade

SleepingStandingUp · 02/05/2019 13:50

Also

... to think you shouldn't have unprotected sex 38-42 weeks before you nieces or nephews birthday

... to think she should have just given birth next week

... To think she's deliberately asked to be induced today

... She should have asked to be induced to avoid this

itswinetime · 02/05/2019 13:52

When did the palace say the baby definitely hadn't been born was that yesterday or Monday? Or ages ago and the press are just rehashing? I don't think they would have lied out right.

Wether they announce today or tomorrow you can put money on people still having something to say about it! At the moment apparently people are most put out that the Sussex's said Charlotte not Princess Charlotte on Instagram 🙄 the level of pettiness is just insane at the moment.

BlingLoving · 02/05/2019 13:54

Haha. Agree that if baby born y yesterday or Tuesday, announcing today would be bad form. But if baby is born today and they want to announce on the day, no biggie. And charlotte probably will be thrilled. We have shared birthdays in our family too so it's not that weird.

BlingLoving · 02/05/2019 13:56

@itswinetime - I love the idea of the Internet breaking because a 4 year old's aunt and uncle call her by her actual name and not her title. It's honestly the most ridiculous thing. In interviews etc the only time you ever hear one of the family refer to another by title is if they're talking about the queen. Everyone else is just, "Pa" or "William" or whatever.

Particularly amusing as most of the internet refer to all these people by their first names too.... And when you watch crowd shots, you don't see people shouting, "Prince Harry" or "Your royal highness" but rather "William" "Kate" etc.

cathyandclare · 02/05/2019 13:57

A BBC reporter tweeted that a private ambulance with a police escort was seen in Windsor today #justsaying

SleepingStandingUp · 02/05/2019 13:58

I think regardless, the linger they take to announce, the more criticism they'll get. That they've held it back to garner more fuss and attention, that she couldn't. Just go what Kate did, that she's playing games, that they bet the Clooneys and Oprah knew already, that the Queen is angry, that her staff are bitter they all got locked in a cupboard unt they announced to the Press etc

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/05/2019 13:59

@itswinetime the same weirdos complained at "Happy birthday Louis". Because of course H&M refer to their nephew as Prince Louis whenever they meet him!

motheroftinydragons · 02/05/2019 13:59

Ha, I wonder if people expect them to write 'To HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge' in her birthday card as well? Hmm

Or perhaps, being family and all that she's got a 'To Charlotte, lots of love Uncle Hazza and Aunty Megs xoxo'? The horror!

SleepingStandingUp · 02/05/2019 14:00

Twitter had the same reaction because they did the same with Louis

If they'd used the titles they'd have been accused of being distant, cleay not having a good relationship with them and being bitter because theirs won't be Prince and Princess

SenecaFalls · 02/05/2019 14:00

At the moment apparently people are most put out that the Sussex's said Charlotte not Princess Charlotte

Yes, because they all address their nieces and nephews by their titles, right?

I saw some of the comments on the Louis birthday posts saying that Louis outranks them so they should say Prince Louis. Perhaps they forgot that the Queen has to issue new LPs in order for Louis to even be an HRH. Same for Charlotte.

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 14:09

to think you shouldn't have unprotected sex 38-42 weeks before you nieces or nephews birthday

Don't forget on Baby Names 'My SIL has used Diana Elizabeth for her daughter' or 'James Hewitt ' when she knows that will cause trouble in the family.

Dana28 · 02/05/2019 14:10

Given MM announced Pg at Eugenie's wedding, I don't think she will have any hesitation on announcing it's birth on Charlotte 4th birthday which is pretty much a non event for everyone except her parents

itswinetime · 02/05/2019 14:12

Well my niece does demand I call her princess twlight sparkle a lot in fairness 😂😂 And I'm sure these people who are so upset refer to all children with master or miss 🙄🙄 it's ridiculous! People will have a go at them over anything it I don't understand it.

My prediction is if they delay the announcement a day the will be a barrage of as if your child could put shine a princess or some such crap and if they do it today it will be thunder stealing. I honestly think people will pick flaws in anything they do at the moment!

Butterymuffin · 02/05/2019 14:14

Agree it will make no difference at all to Charlotte's enjoyment of her birthday if anything is announced today. Hope it will be now! Promising reports from mumsie.

Dana28 · 02/05/2019 14:19

I think they will announce it fairly quickly after the birth, otherwise they are just opening themselves up to huge criticism

SlipperOrchid · 02/05/2019 14:21

Lol@Sleepingstandingup

floraloctopus · 02/05/2019 14:21

Charlotte might quite like it if her new cousin is born on her birthday, especially if it's a girl.

I was looking at those photos of Mia Tindall with George and Charlotte, I can almost see George looking at her jeans and thinking the school boy equivalent of 'WTF?' I'd put money on never seeing him in jeans in public.

SweetestSugar · 02/05/2019 14:27

Any updates @mumsiedarlingrevolta?!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 02/05/2019 14:30

Loving the live updates from mumsie

frugalkitty · 02/05/2019 14:33

Nobody get your knickers in a twist, I just think if the baby's here already (ie not born today) and if they waited and then announced the birth today (ie on charlotte's Birthday) that would be an odd think to do. If the baby is born today and it's announced that's different.

Wouldn't it have kicked up a storm if baby is here and they'd signed the birthday tweet 'from H & M & (insert baby's initial)?? That really would have had the Mail in a flap!

Still hoping for a baby girl. With curly hair. Looking forward to some sweet baby photos.

SleepingStandingUp · 02/05/2019 14:37

Also my sil has STOLEN some of DD/DS's middle names. We picked 73 family names for their middle names and she's used one. Aibu to think she thinks her new baby is better than mine

my sil has hasn't used some of DD/DS's middle names. We picked 73 family names for their middle names and she's not used one. Aibu to think she thinks her new baby is better than mine

Agree, she won't make aright decision on this for those who will always find a fault. Anything she does the same as K will be copying or competing, anything she does differently will be a criticism

ByeClaire · 02/05/2019 14:38

Oh my gosh frugalkitty that would have been brilliant if they’d dropped the birth like that. Instagram posts can be edited though, so there’s still time Grin
