I am NOT enjoying choosing my wedding dress - pics

I’m getting married on my 45th birthday, in just a couple of weeks - and I’m so excited.

Except I’m at my fattest. Ever. And suddenly who I feel I am inside doesn’t match what’s in the mirror.

I simply can’t find a dress that suits me.

I keep thinking I’ve found ‘the one’ - then I see the pics and just feel I look heinous, and back it goes.

If I show the pics, can anyone out there give me honest feedback, make suggestions etc?

It’s a tiny registry office wedding followed by a nice dinner after.

OP you are not fat but you need a dress that is much more structured to give you the wow factor on your wedding day. The floaty ones and patterns look frumptastic sorry.
And good shapewear underneath!!
I have a fantastic basque from Bravissimo which is sexy and gives me a great cleavage and waist.

I went to Debenhams and had a personal shopper experience, I would definitely recommend. No looking round the shop they take you to a private changing room ask what you are looking for then go and get stuff for you to try on! Pic attached of me in the one I chose. I also managed to get a massive discount as the dress should of had a belt with it but it had gone missing.

Honestly just posting to say you look so much better than you think you look.... Really lovely. I think when you go from wearing your normal clothes straight into a fancy dress, it can be hard to adjust your brain to get used to what you are seeing. I was a bridesmaid in the summer and felt exactly like you... Couldn't bare to look at myself in the mirror... But the more I got used to myself dressed fancy the better it was.

I liked all the dresses on you apart from the green....though the shape was lovely, just didn't like the pattern. I love ur red shoes... I thought they matched the dress you like and you looked fun and quirky.

I love both the new dresses but really like the one you have chosen. Your waist looks so tiny and lovely bit of leg! I like the red shoes with it but I love a red shoe and a red lip!

I really like the pink lace dress that you’ve picked but I think the floral pink one that you listed just before it suits and flatters you more.

I really like that last pic of you ,perfect dress. Not keen on the red shoes,I like the Next sandals though, think they'd be perfect 😊

OP i was badly let down by a seamstress for my upcoming wedding. I have had a bad start to the year too. I found another seamstress today and cried on her! About the whole scenario and how I look

She picked me up and promised it would be fine. I'm trying to say I feel lofted with you too
