On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

Second pair are soled with rizla unfortunately.
I love a toe loop because I have flat narrowish feet with stupidly narrow ankles. All sandals with just a bar across the top at the front I just slide forward in.

myidentitymycrisis · 16/04/2019 16:12

Why I also have these fake Birkenstock’s mayari

I love sandals as I hate wearing shoes and socks. Sandals are more free. I have every tyoe from Merril walking ones? To fit flops and dainty sparkly ones.
My favourite pair are these.
I love Fly.

Any comment on these?

I think maybe the stylishness of a sandal depends upon the foot wearing it tbh.
I love wearing sandals but have to admit I do quite a lot of foot grooming during the summer months. A little bit of gradual tan, exfoliated heels and nicely trimmed and polished toe nails go a long way.

PinkieTuscadero · 16/04/2019 16:36

I like quite a plain and unembellished sandal like this one. I agree that if your feet look well cared for then that's half the battle.

Where are those from Hasta?

Truthfully, Rockbird they come into the utterly hideous category for me, but I suspect there will be plenty of others who like them.

changingeverything2019 · 16/04/2019 16:38

I have these. Super comfy and can be worn with ANYTHING.

Ellapaella · 16/04/2019 16:39

Ooh yes @PinkieTuscadero those are really lovely.

Ellapaella · 16/04/2019 16:40

Sorry rockbird those don't scream super stylish at me, more practical footwear. But if you like them then go for it, I think this thread just proves we all have different ideas of style when it comes to sandals.

HastaLaVistaPrint · 16/04/2019 16:49

Margo, they're Kickers from La Redoute.

Applesbananaspears · 16/04/2019 16:55

pinkie finally, someone posting to a nice sandal, they’re lovely

FiremanKing · 16/04/2019 17:24

Pinkie where are those from? Love those

ScrambledSmegs · 16/04/2019 18:02

I have these Tevas. I know they're fugly, but wearing them is like walking on clouds. They have a very smooth and comfortable footbed, not like the ones posted upthread.

I also have some 'pretty' sandals and some Saltwaters which I can't wear for much walking as they're too flat. My dodgy feet love the Tevas most of all.

They make me feel uncomfortable just looking at them

roundligament · 16/04/2019 18:25

@Ellapaella @tierraJ

Both of you have got great ones

EnidButton · 16/04/2019 18:33

I like the leopard print Topshop ones Ella had on.

Otherwise I don't think I'll ever find sandals I really like. There's just too much foot. Grin But will be happy to be proven wrong so lurking around for ideas.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 16/04/2019 18:35

I've got these plus some flat gold sandals and my trusty Arizonas.
