On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

You lot are a bad influence, i've just bought 2 pairs of the seasalt ones. Will keep my mountain warehouse pair from last year for longer walks & wear these into the office

A challenge for you ladies, I'm looking for sandals like the yokono villa which covers the toes. I don't have nice toes due to a fungal infection on one foot so don't like having them out. Any suggestions? I've ordered the yokono villa but would like a few more sandals for this summer.

Yes, I suppose that is the risk with online shopping, you might not actually get the parcel Confused. I’m not too sure how customs charges work, maybe it’s not worth it if you’re UK based Blush

The only shop I buy from internationally is M&S and they have free shipping over $75 to Australia so it’s quite good, no additional charges.

I'd like to second WellTidy's recommendation of Moshulu Wasabi. I discovered them last year thanks to Mumsnet and bought a red pair which are lovely. The sole is deceptively comfy; slightly squishy and the small heel is good (aesthetically I love flat sandals but I have plantar fasciitis so I need a bit of heel). They come in loads of colours and I'm thinking of getting another pair in black or tan...

Another vote for Deichman gladiators. I've worn these for the last 2 years. Really comfy and easy to walk in.

I love these but the soles are too thin. I owned a similar pair that I wore to death and ended up with a hole in the sole.

I have some nice brown leather sandals that I love.

But if we're talking purely about walking sandals. Then these look not-hideous on and super comfy for walking all day.

Why should we have to choose between comfort and looking attractive ? Have you ever looked at a man and say wow don't fancy him because he is wearing comfortable shoes ? How many men have you seen wearing uncomfortable shoes ?

Did you ever read about foot binding in China and not made the connection to what we do to our feet ?
