On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

The comfiest sandals I own are all granny style and I love them for it:

I have had these for a few years now and will be replacing them for this Summer. Super comfortable and have lasted well.

Glad i could help @Hullabalooo They withstood my clumsyness/toe scuffing which kills all my other sandals. Might buy some in black for this year myself.

I forgot I do own some granny sandals. I've had them since 2014 and wear them mostly on holiday when we do a lot of walking. They are rather frumpy but I've definitely seen worse ones.

I've never heard of Yokono before but just googled them. These are lovely but out of stock in my size.

@Holidayshopping the saltwaters soften after you have got them good and wet. I have 3 pairs and the one pair I haven't 'watered in' yet are hard as you describe.

Day time comfy wear rather than dressy

Romax, are you trying to choose between the three? I would say the metallic ones in the middle are my favourite

They are bloody great blunt. Everyday wear since October. I walk 50 mins a day. Barely a sign of wear and get comfier everyday.

I bought first pair in NZ. They sold out so hunted worldwide to get another back up pair!

I am going to buy two

But just unsure if nice at all, even if just for school run / grocery etc
