And in case you get bored of the royals or they're having a quiet week, here's the Celebrity S&G thread!

Remember, let's critique the clothes without getting too personal about the wearers.

Frugal Grin

The Paxman royal programme did get a good write up somewhere, maybe in the Times so could be worth watching.

SenecaFalls · 05/02/2019 14:28

That's Marie. I must be the only person on this thread who doesn't think they look all that much alike. Smile

Love that Prince Philip story.

beanaseireann · 05/02/2019 14:32

I'd find it really weird if my brother in law's second wife looksd so uncannily like me Grin
Mind you it is kinda flattering.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/02/2019 14:38

@frugal kitty
I know! Just thought they looked particularly similar from that angle!

TheManFromHellMonte · 05/02/2019 14:41

I suppose it’s better than your DB marrying someone who looks like you.

Gooseysgirl · 05/02/2019 14:43

Jesus that green Kermit dress is horrendous - boots awful too.

frugalkitty · 05/02/2019 14:50

The only time my BIL would marry someone who looks like me is if it was a voodoo doll to sticks pins in! We do not like each other. At all. Ever. Grin

queenofarles · 05/02/2019 15:11

Kate's Dress reminds me of Fendi angry eyes design , but the colour is actually nice .

I owned boots like these in the early noughties. They were exceptionally comfortable but there is no way I'm rewearing these types of boots again.

style wise , Kate is stuck in the early 2000s. Specially her off duty style . Can't say if it's a picture from 2007 or 2019 . Would like to see her once in mum jeans or cashmere trackies and trainers running errands.

CreakyBlinder · 05/02/2019 15:25

Cashmere trackers!? Shock

CreakyBlinder · 05/02/2019 15:25

Trackies. F'in autocorrect.

Paradyning · 05/02/2019 16:24

Jesus the DM have managed to make a headline out of Kate wearing boots. In winter. Who'd have thought a woman may wear boots in Winter.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/02/2019 16:28

Oh no, once you see the angry frog face you can’t unsee it!

Notmyrealname855 · 05/02/2019 16:33

Not fond of the angry frog face dress! There are loads of A-line dresses she could have chosen from!

I love today's boots, but I bought a similar pair recently, minus all the eyelets fuss. They're ridiculously comfy. The dress looked good for classroom duty - didn't crease much during all that movement between tiny people chairs and meet and greets.

Great cause today, too.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2019 18:47

HRH Duchess Kate has a great write up of today. Kate looked really engaged and always seems happiest on her events when they involve meeting children.

Paradyning · 05/02/2019 18:59

In the videos she's very engaged with the children. Very natural with them.
It looks like a really great charity. Glad she's supporting them.

EmGee · 05/02/2019 19:00

That looks like a great initiative.

TipseyTorvey · 05/02/2019 19:47

I really like Kate's boots. They look funky and comfy but the dress just makes me think of the type of 'bright' that the queen wears so she can be seen. Kate suits a forest (or now Megan) green a bit better. I don't hate it but think it's not quite right for her.

Clionba · 05/02/2019 19:52

Kate looks lovely. It's nice to see her in more modern footwear - chunky boots rather than spindly high heels.
I like the bright green!

Clionba · 05/02/2019 20:24

Actually that dress is a bit weird... Has it got eyes??

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/02/2019 20:28

Kate’s hugely committed to mental health, in the article linked by @queen, it says it is a lifelong commitment.
That is one of the benefits of a royal family; they can make commitments to decades long projects; such as Prince Charles with the environment.
Bravo to her.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/02/2019 20:29

Don’t forget Paxo ch5 9pm tonight

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2019 21:01

I'm watching. I don't usually watch channel 5!

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2019 21:09

It really is staggering that HM spent SIX MONTHS away from Charles and Anne Confused
