And in case you get bored of the royals or they're having a quiet week, here's the Celebrity S&G thread!

Remember, let's critique the clothes without getting too personal about the wearers.

Rania looks like a cadaver. She used to be so beautiful.

Daisypie · 13/02/2019 06:32

Camilli looks like such a good sport, wherever she goes.

Rhubarbisevil · 13/02/2019 06:33

Oh look, Camilla’s got her wings.

It’s good to see that Meghan has got used to all the attention and doesn’t blink at all those camera flashes. Do you remember her first outing at Sandringham when she was rabbits in the headlights?

hopeishere · 13/02/2019 07:15

She'd be choppered out as fast as possible if anything happened. As long as she feels well and up for the trip why not!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 13/02/2019 07:17

I would have thought Meghan would have been used to the camera flashes from being an actress. Probably not as many as being Royal.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 13/02/2019 07:18

The trip to Morocco at such a late date makes no sense whatsoever.

beanaseireann · 13/02/2019 07:22

I agree Curly.
I was ShockHmm when I read of the trip.

user1457017537 · 13/02/2019 07:38

Another one who agrees re Morocco trip making no sense whatsoever

AFifthOfKoolAid · 13/02/2019 07:50

Lots of women, with jobs far more strenuous than being whisked around in luxurious modes of transportation and shaking people's hands, don't take maternity leave until very shortly before they give birth. I don't see what's so confusing about this trip?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/02/2019 07:54

I agree with the PP, her trip to Morocco will be more comfortable than any ordinary pregnant woman’s daily commute changing a couple of crowded tubes and possibly the Overground.

I still think she was bonkers for not wearing any tights in February though.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 08:00

Oh well, the trip to Morocco doesn't have to make sense to us as long as it makes sense to them. And if she's only going to be 7 months pregnant (bump size isn't always an accurate estimation of due date) she'll be fine. Didn't Kate and William do a Scandi trip at around the same stage of pregnancy last year?

I'm with CoolAid here. I don't think she's as far along as some posters here think (even Harry has made reference to it being a big baby) and she'll probably be travelling with an obstetrician and midwife. There will be a contingency plan if she does go early- Morroco has its own royal family, the younger members of which were all born in Rabat so presumably there are very good facilities there for people who have the means to pay for them. It's only a three and a half hour flight from London- there's some women who do that as a daily commute at her stage!

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 08:09

Well exactly @TheCraicDealer, if something happens then they'll have access to the best hospitals in Morocco. But there's no reason to think there will be, she appears to be the picture of health!

Thread is nearly full already!

queenofarles · 13/02/2019 08:38

There is huge difference between taking the daily commute from a commuter belt town to London , with excellent maternity hospitals and going on a trip to Morocco in your last trimester , as I've mentioned before I've been going there for years. It's really not a place I would like to receive emergency treatment there. Some issues can not be delayed.
its still a 3 hour trip back to London . What if they were in the Atlas Mountains and something goes wrong? It could take you anything from 2-5 hours to reach Marrakesh. depending on which area you are visiting.
It's just too risky .

queenofarles · 13/02/2019 08:44

Maybe there is a big celebrity bash happening Morocco? Grin it has become very popular with big Hollywood names lately , which is a big shame as it was always been under the radar.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 08:44

Has the itinerary for this trip been released? I didn't think it had. It's only a short visit, they may just be sticking to cities rather than going anywhere too remote.

OP posts:
ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/02/2019 08:45

IT is true there is a difference, a daily commute in London is more unpleasant than a trip from where you get ferried around and have dozens of people around ready to help at the slightest sign, you don’t have to ask for a seat, no one pushes into you and your train doesn’t get cancelled leaving you stranded in deepest Kent.

There are helicopters and doctors available as well, no doubt.

But it seems I’m digressing, so I’m
Sure that whatever she does she will do it looking perfect, the way she always does, so I’m looking forward to the photos.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/02/2019 08:47

I apologise OP.

I’ll keep in topic.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 08:54

Right, here's the new thread.

I think the wisdom of the trip to Morocco has been done to death so let's keep it on what's left of this thread and not carry on the discussion on the new one as we're all just going round in circles now!

Kate has two events today so that'll give us plenty to talk about.

QueenoftheAndals
I hope you have a brand new thread ( and snappy title ) lined up please.
Thanks in advance .

AFifthOfKoolAid · 13/02/2019 08:56

I am almost certain if she needed emergency care it wouldn't be the same as what I would need on a minibreak to Marrakech. She'd have access to the best of the best healthcare should the unfortunate need arise. Probably better than a commuter belt woman falling ill on the train to Waterloo would in an NHS hospital. I'm pretty sure they've assessed the risks and will manage them appropriately.

beanaseireann · 13/02/2019 08:56

Oops. Blush
I knew you would !
