Link to book group thread, which has the list of books.

And in case you get bored of the royals or they're having a quiet week, here's the Celebrity S&G thread!

Remember, let's critique the clothes without getting too personal about the wearers.

Where is the stethoscope necklace?

Calloway · 12/02/2019 19:24

The turtle neck on that dress (I think it's on the dress rather than the coat?) makes her neck look really short. That's why the boat necks suit her so much. They're elongating.

Harry's suit is meh.

certainlymerry · 12/02/2019 19:26

She looks awful. I honestly don't understand it. How can she think she looks good in this? All the outfits strain over her stomach, but this is the worst. What is she thinking???

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/02/2019 19:27

I'm not keen but British designer klaxon! And she really is the very definition of radiant.

OP posts:
Calloway · 12/02/2019 19:27

Her face is indeed glowy and beautiful.

certainlymerry · 12/02/2019 19:28

The all white is awful. The neckline is atrocious, the material is dreadful. Her popped bellybutton is clearly outlined. Just... just... unspeakable. It is all scrunched up and her bust looks awful too.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/02/2019 19:28

And if anyone in the audience takes ill then Meghan is prepped to perform the surgery!

Paradyning · 12/02/2019 19:29

I wonder if she does her own make up most of the time. She really has it nailed. I guess it's years watching and being taught by pros

ImBattlingOn · 12/02/2019 19:30

I came straight to the thread to say that for the first time ever, I like her outfit!

She’s put some weight on her face too; it suits her Smile

Am I so out of touch, style wise, then?!

ImBattlingOn · 12/02/2019 19:31

No tights, the shock horror! Shock

YahBasic · 12/02/2019 19:31

She looks like a pregnant Dr Barbie.

Paradyning · 12/02/2019 19:32

Here's some more pics. It is a bit....weird.

White coats should only be worn by doctors, cricket umpires, and people selling Mr Whippys.

Paradyning · 12/02/2019 19:34

She does look stunning though!

Smaller dd and I went to see Princess Margaret’s clothes in the Fashion Museum, in Bath. They were impossibly tiny ! I had a 23 inch waist before i had babies, older dd (aged 14) is 22 and a half inches now, but we would have struggled to get into PM’s dresses. I know she would have also had a waist cincher but even so...My 11 year old dd has a 21” waist, and the dresses looked as though they would fit her, not just in width, but in height, the height of the bodices was about right for her and she is four foot eight ! Apart from the bust shaping they looked child size.

LaurenOrdering · 12/02/2019 19:37

I like the coat not sure about the dress as there's body hugging but this dress looks beyond body hugging & a boat/slash neck would have looked better.
White really suits Meghan & I like the olive/sage accessories which I think she's worn before.
In this photo she does look lovely:

Horsemad · 12/02/2019 19:39

Meghan does look better for the extra bit of weight in her face. She is blooming.

UrsulaPandress · 12/02/2019 19:41

I do like her hair.

ElspethFlashman · 12/02/2019 19:41

The coat is nice.

The shoes are fine, though I'm a bit perplexed by pairing olive and cream. It's.... OK, I guess? Bit random.

But the dress is atrocious. She must have lost a bet.

gingercat02 · 12/02/2019 19:45

Not keen on the neck but the rest is lovely. The coat is a re wear from early last year apparently. Love the shoes and bag.

ElspethFlashman · 12/02/2019 19:45

I am praying that for her second pregnancy she'll finally have figured out her silhouette. (Cos you know the second one is gonna be like next year, she doesn't have time to fuck around)

🙏🙏🙏🙏

Housewife2010 · 12/02/2019 19:47

Why does she insisted on wearing such tight uncomfortable looking dresses? A proper maternity dress which skims her bump would look so much nicer.

TheCraicDealer · 12/02/2019 19:50

MM's make up is always lovely, so glowy. The coat is a beautiful cut but they always look a bit odd when you can tell the sides wouldn't meet over the bump. The dress is another £££ frankenoutfit which has been butchered to accommodate the bump, and it still doesn't fit. The roll neck and hair makes her face look so round from the front she almost looks like a different person. Please, someone, send her the Isabella Oliver catalog by whatever means possible.

hopeishere · 12/02/2019 19:51

Dress is awful. Doesn't fit. Over the bump or bust. Stretchy is your friend Meghan. Not sure about the hair. And the make ups a bit sheeny for me. But she looks glowing and happy!

I like the contrasting shoes.

PrimeExample · 12/02/2019 19:54

Actually, I love this outfit & even think she is wearing thin tights (7 denier?). The outfit is neutral and she looks healthy and glowing. Beautiful!
