And in case you get bored of the royals or they're having a quiet week, here's the Celebrity S&G thread!

Remember, let's critique the clothes without getting too personal about the wearers.

That dress Minty posted would suit Meghan down to a T.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 08/02/2019 20:16

I think Meghan’s natural tendency is Parisian street style she’s previously said she really likes French fashion editor Emmanuelle Alt.

I actually prefer Carine Roitfeld her predecessor at French Vogue]]

Anyway, point being, Meghan can still do Paris Style; just more formal

TheCraicDealer · 08/02/2019 20:18

The shirt/dress outfit was a good idea (and I love the shoes) but it just didn't work. There's some lovely stuff on Isabella Oliver, including a few dresses with a very DOS aesthetic like the one Minty posted. I can't understand why every nearly event she's rocked up to has featured ill fitting and badly altered £££ outfits when there's so many good options on Seraphine and there. And if any of the outfits get reused in another pregnancy or after being altered again, I'll be very surprised.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 08/02/2019 20:26

@mintychops suggestion reminds me a bit of this Mouret dress from Meghan’s preDuchess days

Apparently in the People article Meghan says she styles all her outfits herself. So she is personally responsible for issues of fit, expense and not choosing maternity wear. The last is something I'm so surprised at, she would have such a huge array of designer maternity and high-end high st to choose from. The black maternity dress she wore recently was so flattering. I also can't really understand why she is spending so much on Givenchy. She is a beautiful woman and could wear almost anything, especially with minor tailoring.

hopeishere · 08/02/2019 20:40

I think as someone who has always been slim she's finding dressing bigger boobs a challenge.

OlennasWimple · 08/02/2019 20:42

I was wondering today what the press would do if MM goes into labour as we crash into a no deal Brexit at the end of March...

Not sure they can keep both stories running together...

EstrellaDamn · 08/02/2019 20:53

On the other hand a royal baby is the perfect distraction for us poor fools. Bread and circuses.

kooshbin · 08/02/2019 20:58

What is that green dress at the bottom right of the montage that AFifthOfKoolAid posted? That would look good on Meghan.

Maybe Kate could lend it to her - that would go some way to squashing the "not getting on" rumours.

megletthesecond · 08/02/2019 22:31

I'm sure Brexit and the DoS's baby will arrive the same weekend.

Notmyrealname855 · 08/02/2019 22:51

Minty that’s a great dress! I wish we could send suggestions to MM :)

Love Max so much. Was she always stylish or did she take time to get into it? Must be a bit weird transitioning into “royal workwear” looks.

Love those Parisian looks too, wish I could carry off a trench coat and some lippy!

certainlymerry · 08/02/2019 22:58

If we see M appear in that dress, well know what’s going on, won’t we!!

SirVixofVixHall · 08/02/2019 23:00

I agree with certainlymerry’s post on page 18.
Also agree that the Isabelle Oliver dress posted would suit Meghan.

AFifthOfKoolAid · 09/02/2019 00:49

Reading this thread means my internet is now riddled with royal clickbait including this vote for your favourite royal outfit of the week in Hello!

Mine has to be Princess Madeleine's leather pants! Can you imagine the pearl clutching if one of the young British royals wore those. They'd need smelling salts and would be hankering for the days when they only had to worry about Meghan's nail varnish or Kate's above the knee hems!

Kitty Spencer also looks gorgeous, I don't think many people could carry off a red power suit.

AFifthOfKoolAid · 09/02/2019 00:53

Ooh I've voted, Kate's green dress is winning by a mile. I do quite like how toasty warm it seems. She's so radiant.

Daisypie · 09/02/2019 06:09

I couldn't go past voting for the Queen in peach.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/02/2019 06:27

Ooh I’m not being stalked by hello, but I’d like to do that competition every week.
I voted for Queen Rania

certainlymerry · 09/02/2019 06:59

I voted for Kate! Love Kitty Spencer’s too. She is drop dead gorgeous .

VanillaSugarr · 09/02/2019 07:26

I voted for Princess Marie. I like her trousers.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/02/2019 07:26

I voted Rania but Kate is winning. I still think the green dress could've been better, especially for £2000!

Paradyning · 09/02/2019 07:42

Invited for Leti. Can't believe Kate's winning by miles! It's odd that Kitty is in there though. She's 'just' an aristocrat. A beautiful one at that.

Paradyning · 09/02/2019 07:43

hopeishere · 09/02/2019 08:10

I know it's not royal but Theresa May wore a fab coat to meet the Irish prime minister last night.

I knew there was a Boden dress the green one reminded me of! A friend has it in orange.

For your viewing pleasure this morning, here's a compilation of hottest world leaders. Several royals have made the cut including Letizia, HCP and Kate.

But Letizia is extra-lucky as she's married to silver fox Felipe AND gets to hang out with Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez, who ain't too hard on the eye either!
