Tbh I suspect KP did not approve it. I doubt it's necessarily required and the whole story is a very American type of thing. It's blatantly a Megan plant, she basically wrote it. It makes Charles and Diana's shenanigans look subtle by comparison.
I absolutely hate people using the press in this way, I find it such a sledgehammer approach. Plant a sob story in People magazine. Make sure to say how Megan (gasp!) wipes down her own wet dogs. It's all such PR bollocks and it has the opposite effect on me.
That's not to say M shouldn't be planting defensive stories, but I thought it would be a "sprinkling seeds" approach, not this absolutely blatant thing.
It's also telling that it was planted in People magazine rather than in the Daily Mail. She is still regarding US opinion as more important.
