I loved my ballet shoes at first, but now they're just getting wider and wider and wider. I must have feet like flippers. The shoes are almost square now.

Hmm. I'll break them in for you if you like, with my incredibly WIDE feet.

I like the sound of your perspex ring. I think I could do that. I just don't think I can accessorize in a subtle or discreet way. I think I need Statement Necklace etc.

okay. will find outfit first, then it's ALL DOWN TO YOU. I will take no responsibility, I will buy and wear what I'm told. If it's a total disaster I shall definitely take photo and post but I will wear it. I shall get slam drunk and throw my gold bracelets at the wedding cake.

Enid · 30/06/2007 18:50

more high waisted than now nad wider is AW07

Aloha · 30/06/2007 18:57

Ah but Enid, I'm convinced your fab necklace made all the difference to your look. I wouldn't have the confidence to do that.

Aloha · 30/06/2007 19:00

I have now changed into New Look red viscose tea dress with white and back small floral print, worn with red ballet pumps btw. More comfy!
Have watched Night Garden with children (bliss) and will be off in a minute for 'season finale' (!) of Dr Who.

today I had on a choc brown wrap top with cap sleeves and a lightweight denim skirt knee lenght kind of gored I suppose. V flattering I think. beige ish embroidered leather balletish things with v low kitten heel.

I should have accessoried shouldnt i?

I am 5'8" too btw with dark brown hair in a bob just past my chin.

ProjectIcarus · 30/06/2007 19:28

Can I just say that I have just been looking at Whizzz picture trail and I do not get it.

I would feel like I had rolled in the bargain bin in oxfam and come out with bits stuck to me. Do you lot seriously wear stuff like that?

Whizzz · 30/06/2007 19:45

thanks

I think it's gorgeous - just the sort of stuff I'd wear...

ProjectIcarus · 30/06/2007 20:06

ah er that came across badly. I see lots of people wearing stuff like that. I see it in the shops. I put it on and it feels wrong and weird. I have tried expensive stuff on, cheap stuff one all bkloddy sorts.

I just cannot look at it on me without looking like I am three and have been raiding my mums (v 70's) jewellery box.

ProjectIcarus · 30/06/2007 20:07

Other people look nice in it.

I feel utterly conspicuous.

Whizzz · 30/06/2007 20:14

that's why I try & make stuff to order, made for the wearer depending on what suits them

ProjectIcarus · 30/06/2007 20:17

Whizzz - that is the point. I am bare. I have tried on every damn sort of neck thing,, bracelet etc and I feel like a freak.

I look at other people wearing all osrts of diff kinds of stuff lariats big stones you name it and it looks fab.

On them.

I have "lOOK AT MY NECKLACE" syndrome as soon as I put something on.

ProjectIcarus · 30/06/2007 20:18

or LOOK AT MY RING.

I tried on rings for 40 mins today. Bought nothing.
