I do wear the same watch every day but it is lovely and was a rather expensive gift from dh so am not going to change that.

oh, I am good with scarves too. I suppose I am quite accesorized up after all . Silly monkey

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:30

Are you actually going to help or just boast about scarves. I have a wedding to go to next Saturday. Can we accessorize me for that?

florenceuk · 30/06/2007 17:30

Ok I don't wear earrings or bracelets but have bought some necklaces recently in an effort to smarten up. DH recently bought me a really lovely gold ring with large green stone from Dinny Hall - is it OK to wear such things if the rest of you is rather un-accessorized?
My other dilemma is that I wear a green canvas backpack constantly as when I am at home, have to carry drink, coats, change of clothes for DD, wallet, phone, tissues, snacks - how else to do it in comfort? And for work carry umbrella, paper, wallet, phone, tissues, drink not to mention various work papers - can I fit that all in a handbag? And do I need a "nice" handbag for the odd occasion i go out?

oh I am hippy saddo but I still have to make sure my neclaces/earign etc go with my outfit. I have my green ensembles, my blue stuff and reds. Then some silver...I am obsessed

MrsBadger · 30/06/2007 17:35

100x what else are you wearing for the wedding?

and Florence you must ditch the backpakc
how old are the DCs?

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:36

I love ya Cod, and you know it. I'm just stressed about total absence of 'grown-up'ness in my accessory life. Am very excited about prospect of rattling my way through wedding on saturday, trailing scarfes in my wake and possibly taking two or three handbags. I'll wear smeary lipstick and my mother's high heels. It's going to be great.

Ah Mrs Badger, this is a moot point. I don't quite know. Do have v. nice, but old, black dress (erm, what's her name, Ferretti or something? Really old though, like 10 years) which I might wear with this big lime silk wrap (oooh I have a scarf!) , but I'm not sure. I was going to go and look in shops next week.

Have shoes though. Quite high, black, suede ones.

florenceuk · 30/06/2007 17:40

Well DD is 2.5 and reasonably reliable, but we still need change of knickers/trews just in case. We can stuff a lot in the buggy but she is getting to the stage where we won't have that anymore. I don't need a changing bag, just something comfortable that can double for work.

PS Cod, Tag hauer make a really nice waterproof watch called the Aqua Racer - I stare at it each night as I walk past Goldsmiths on the way home.

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:42

I never had a changing bag. I used those french ones, you know with the colour of the inside, erm, herve or something? Are waterproof and large.

lol. I'm getting quite in the swing of this now.

Shall I buy another handbag for Saturday? I only have ONE.

ahem yes.

No watch here either.

Am a deep winter.

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:44

Oh good. LOL. It's going to be like trinny and suzannah isn't it? You're them and I'm the mindless daft one in front of the 4 way mirror who is slightly defensive about her 'practical' wardrobe.

florenceuk · 30/06/2007 17:45

100 you need a giant necklace with huge stones - it would look very chic with the black (if you think black at weddings is OK). plumo necklace with lots of black

MrsBadger · 30/06/2007 17:46

Florence get a big tote-type handbag
hang off buggy when you have it and sling on shoulder when you don't. Next is a good place to start and not too expensive.

and the Tag Link Chrono is nicer than the Aqua Racer IMO

100x black and lime a bit... unsubtle

Enid · 30/06/2007 17:47

I USE a herve chapelier bag as a family bag too 100

brown with violet trim

was a nightmare to find or should I say source

oooh florence. That's interesting. I have short hair a bit like that. Where would I get such a thing? But surely you can only wear something like that if you're in a v neck dress?

Hmm. Not convinced by the black dress either, I think I'll look like a spanish widow. Okay, am going to shop and then come back and accessorize. I might even try tomorrow after all I do have to pop into Gap and get DS1 a sweatshirt for his trip away next week, so I could always have a quick wander then.

Oh I do like this. You're all very kind and patient.

Enid · 30/06/2007 17:48

i also havea black alberta feretti dress about 10 years old
