Yes very weird. We are VERY discriminating.

LOL. I also remember you and I both gave ourselves a resounding 8 on the Rate Your Looks Thread. Must be something to do with being owners of ancient dresses and nylon family bags.

Yes Mrs B, maybe, but it sort of works - I think. Crisis of confidence now. Have worn before. Is rather nice mauve in the scarf, and I'm quite dark so is alright I think?

i had dinner with some friends on wed

wore dress over white trs (it is a very clingy dress from her sport range)

one woman said she would NEVER wear anything old and couldnt get her head round it at all

mrs b have you got your mitts on that ring yet?

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:53

Cod disapproves of dresses over trousers. Yours sounds lovely, mine comes in two parts, sort of slip then floaty bit on top. But it is MY LBD. But probably due a rest.

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:55

When does something become old then? When it's last season or over a year? She sounds a bit snippy. You meet some very difficult people down your way don't you Enid?

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 17:56

OK Cod. I'm all yours. Nothing old, nothing designer. Am ready. Shall I get my ears pierced again too?

MrsBadger · 30/06/2007 17:57

no no this one

no Enid nor am I likely to, twas only a dream

(NB the useless expat couple on whose behalf I have posted before had an 8lb6 boy in Wales on Tues and are doing well considering )

Enid · 30/06/2007 17:58

do you know she can also be very funny and some of the things she said reminded me of you cod

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 18:01

Do you have to friends with them? Have you lived there long?

When we left London we were invited round for these HORRENDOUS dinners here, and we thought we would die if we saw another 'set' table and another man in a purple tie. But we kept on going out of desperation really.

But people have slowly come out of the woodwork, nice people.

i have a lovely tag heuer which i got for my 21st birthday. but it's costing 200 quid to have it serviced, & is taking 6 weeks . so am reduced to cheapy swatch.

Aloha · 30/06/2007 18:10

Ok, today I (5'8", 12-14, brown hair, graduated bob, 43) wore Boden skinny jeans, white vest from Bravissimo, black ballet pumps and a mainly unbuttoned Top Shop blouse with slightly puffed sleeves in a tiny brownish print. I wore Cath Kidston earrings (blue, small pearls around ) - yes, I know I sound like middle class MN cliche! - so Miss Cod, help me!

ahundredtimes · 30/06/2007 18:14

You're going to have quite a busy week really.

Whizzz · 30/06/2007 18:25

Pendant?? Link?

Enid · 30/06/2007 18:28

100 I do know plenty of nice people honest

but they just busy themselves being nice and good mates and therefore not often mentioned - I also know a lot of truly awful caricature type people who are much more interesting to talk about

Whizzz · 30/06/2007 18:28

Cod - have found 3.5cm hoops but they blurb says they are 'iron' ?? Worth a go do you reckon or will they make your ears rusty ??
