It was miniShop’s birthday yesterday so we had a lovely day ending in dinner with our closest friends and my Godsons in the evening. The restaurant staff sang Happy birthday to him and he thought that was the best thing ever. Very cute. Chilled day here with a roast later. It’s so cold out there, apparently snow next week?

They definitely needed to sort it out, the weird boho Per Una stuff was grim. Nice boiler suit for you Shop and the floaty maxi tiered dresses look nice. Most of it is a bit structured & brown for me, but it's going in the right direction.

I'm still ill. Finally made it to the doctor's yesterday & have a chest infection, so on antibiotics. Hope to improve later in the week.

Have used my sick time to book summer flights & watch a lot of Netflix. Have binged Queer Eye, so emotional, & just watched the Fyre festival thing, unbelievable.

We're going to the rainforest so any tips for warm wet weather clothing appreciated!

The Fyre Festival thing was insane - insane how sucked in people got by a load of noise on Insta. Fascinating.
I’ve been cleaning and sorting like mad here, I have become obsessed with The Organised Mum Method and Marie Kondo. Clearing loads of stuff out and sorting everything else - my parents house is such a tip after 30 years in the same home and never throwing anything out that I am determined not to be the same.
DF had another fall today, DM is so tired and sad - such a hideous situation for everyone.
In fashion news I quite fancy so 80s style calf length loose fit boots. The blonde (Karen?) in Cold Feet had some fab boots on in last week’s episode......

I was reading about the Fyre recently-I think the organiser has been jailed. Shop I watched the Kevyn Aucoin documentary you recommended and found it sad and fascinating. A brilliant look back at 80/90's style.

These jumpers by Izaak Azanei caught my eye, I love the probably very annoying fur cuffs. These is also a pair of fur trimmed sweat pants which doesn't quite have the same vibe!

Everyone did you find a fluffy jacket worth keeping?

I spent a few days 'up north' last week and noticed lots of fluffy jackets and trainers without socks-mostly on students I might add! I also clocked 3 people wearing headbands a la Kate Middleton. I'm not sure it's a trend for the over 50's though 😂

I need to replace my much loved and very tatty stans so tried on a couple of pairs of Veja trainers

these. I much prefer the first pair (& like the whole company ethos) but they were not as comfy as the stans but that could because they’re so well worn!

I can’t see the 2nd pair Fedup But my Vegas are the most uncomfortable pair of trainers I own.
Love the Ethos but horrific blisters!

Not much fashion news, but I received this cuff I love a cuff and I love tortoiseshell, and any animal print accessory tbh. Think I’ll wear it lots this SS.
Also popped into town to get some shower gel and came home with

this cardi which I wore straight away next day over a wine coloured Me + Em dress with a very old, but much loved, Zara plaid blanket scarf in wine and moss green....black ankle boots, opaques an tan wide belt over the dress. Super matcha, v cosy.

Just saw an article about The Pool being in trouble. Would be very sad if it failed, think it's great.
