Your work outfit sounded smart dry. Camel is a colour that I have never got on with.

I think it depends where you work. I think your work outfits sound great kitty and if it works for you then no need to change it up (unless you want to!) I think it’s difficult when it’s this cold though, as warmth is also a major factor in any outfit I consider.

The jackets are coming today. It was supposed to be yesterday but I was in the office (wore black leather pencil skirt and grey mint velvet jumper with small beaded watermelon detail) and DH was at home, so didn’t want him to see all the deliveries (as there was also 2 Boden parcels and a next parcel coming .

kitty as someone else said, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut in this weather. I dress for comfort in extremes heat which is why I love spring and autumn dressing the most. I’m sure you look fab in whatever you’re wearing

Hey all, will do a proper update later but just wanted to recommend the bbc 2 programme Hospital tonight at 21.00, tonight’s episode is v personal to my family but is worth watching generally as an ode to the NHS and the amazing work of its staff.

Jacket feedback. I wasn’t keen on the black stories one. It’s very heavy and with the folded down lapels it just looked too bulky on me. The (faux) fur also wasn’t as good quality as the L.K. bennet one. I’m a bit undecided about the pink L.K. bennet one. It is sooo soft and the (faux) fur is really good quality. However, I’m not sure about the over sized collar as it makes the jacket look more bulky and makes me look quite square shaped. If it was a couple of inches longer I think it would balance out the collar a bit more. Here’s a lovely photo .

everyone lovely colour but it’s not a great fit. I agree, the collar is big and overpowering but also the sleeves swamp you.

Yes I’m leaning towards sending it back as not sure it’s worth the money. I think i would always end up always opting to wear my black ted Baker jacket instead.

Some of those M&S shoe designs are absolutely hideous! I can see the ‘style me Sunday’ Ones being in the bargain bin pretty quickly! I quite like fran’s Design but it’s not a very good photo so would depend on the rest of the shoe.

Thank you all for the lovely compliments, I seem to remember Bernice a few months ago braving a cream jacket at a similar stage but at least sick is white, after weaning will be a different story! And I got lucky and don't need to dry clean the blouse I'm sure you can do silk Marsha, just need to pick your moments I guess!

Everyone yes the sleeves are too big and the collar isn't quite right, it's a shame as it's a really glam colour.

It's been 6 months since I've been off, not a year, but I am indeed looking forward to going out with just 1 bag! It's going to be so strange and I'm sure the novelty will wear off very fast and I'll just miss him so much :( but at least he's going to be with his daddy for 3 months.

blair are you going back full time or part time? You will miss him but you’d miss him at whatever age he was. I’m going to miss mine next week when I start work and won’t be around as much. But honestly once he starts moving you’ll be glad of the break of work

I just went for a job interview
Took nanny, black cab and dd into town where she was fine and fell asleep

Wore real shoes (not Sorels or Marant trainers for first time in over a year), Rag & Bone boots and Marant blazer

Got home and omg couldn’t wait to strip vestige of workwear and back in every day stuff

On job not sure it’s a keeper!
