Christmas and the sales are sadly over but winter is still here for a few months yet.

Come and show us your cosy knits and woolly hats whilst we dream of summer - everyone welcome, the more the merrier.

Blair Glad you’re back as wanted to say....... You looked absolutely stunning in your friend’s pics - the most glam mummy. Be kind to yourself. Your body has done the most amazing thing, it will be different. Enjoy these last 2 weeks xx

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/01/2019 12:41

Sorry to hear your sad news shop. Hope your DM is doing ok. Flowers. What colour is your faux fur? I’m seriously tempted but just thinking about which colour might be more practical....

Congratulations to your DS and DIL dream, that’s fab news!

Hope DD is doing ok marsha.

Your builders are making good progress lib. Seems like the wait was worth it as you’ve found some good ones.

blair I’m sure you look fabulous. My DC still say to me sometimes ‘mummy your tummy is wobbley like jelly’ - why thank you dear children Hmm. Maternity leave does go quick, is your DH nearing the end of his parental leave?

queenc I saw an Instagram post from fashionbug wearing the gold version of that bikini at 30 weeks pregnant!

I was having a look through the ‘new in’ on the matches website. I always think spring / summer clothes are more exciting than winter ones. I think it’s because they tend to be brighter. I love this colour. As mentioned up post, I’m thinking of getting a faux fur jacket. There’s this black one or this pale pink one. What do people think? I think black is more practical / wearable, but I am drawn to the pale one.....

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 12:52

Everyone my faux fur is black. It was C Roitfield for Uniqlo - one of my best buys ever. Gets so many positive comments and hasn’t dated. Should be on my Pin.

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 12:52

Very similar to the black Stories one actually.

Everyonelovessparkles · 21/01/2019 13:27

Thanks shop.

QueenCerise · 21/01/2019 14:23

Hello blair can’t wait to see you in March!!!
everyone I’m kind of drawn to the pink too. I used to really hate pink but the older I’ve got the more I love it. How are you planning on wearing it?

I’ve been reading midlife chic and her capsule wardrobe building. It’s a little long winded and most of us on here probably know our style bit it’s got some useful bits.
It got me thinking about colours though and accent and pops of colour. If I had to name mine like she suggests they’d be:
Neutral colours: navy, grey, black (but mostly navy!!)
Accent colours: cobalt, damson/magenta, turquoise/Chinese blue
Pop of colours: emerald/pine green, cerise, pale pink, burgundy

How about you?
The blues are lacking from my wardrobe but that’s because lately there hasn’t been much of it around and if there has it hasn’t been my style or what I need. I’d definitely love more blue in my wardrobe though

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 17:52

Have I linked these before?
Saw loads of people wearing boots like this in Monaco, along with studded boots too. Would love to buy these but can't justify so can someone else get them please?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/01/2019 17:54

Thanks shop Smile it must have rubbed off from the most glam group of mums I know! Wink

everyone my DH's leave starts when mine ends, he is very excited! He is going to be in charge of weaning, a little project for him!

QueenC I'm very much looking forward to seeing you and everyone else too! Exciting to hear loads of us will be there and thanks for organising Marsha.

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 18:05

Can’t make up my mind whether I love or hate this

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 18:27

Blair that is brill that he gets leave once your stops. He’ll have to get ready for lots of orange stains!

QueenCerise · 21/01/2019 18:32

I hated weaning! By dc3 I pretty much weaned on nuggets and chips Grin

Dreamqueen · 21/01/2019 18:43

Lovely to see you back on here Blair

shopafrolic · 21/01/2019 20:28

Brandon Truaxe has died

justasecond · 21/01/2019 21:00

Really sad news shop such a shame he didn't get the help he obviously needed.
Lots to catch up on
Marsha poor miniMarsha having to go through all that but so pleased to hear she is on the mend. Lots of hugs for you both xx

Dream big congratulations! how exciting. I bet you will be all over the cute stripey baby grows Smile

shop sorry to hear your sad news. hope your dm is ok

Blair lovely purchases. Not sure which faux fur I prefer. Maybe the pink is better going into spring although that's still a way off!

I'm so looking forward to the mu too, thanks so much for organising marsha

I usually love winter dressing but totally stuck in a rut this year. I think partly because I am still feeling a bit down about The Big Falling Out. I just reach for anything in the mornings so unlike me!

justasecond · 21/01/2019 21:02

Sorry Everyone got you confused with Blair and the faux furs!

DryWhiteagainW · 22/01/2019 07:43

Justa are you ok? Think I missed something. Xxx

Blair I can’t believe it’s a year ....and I agree with shop you looked ultra chic and super groomed. Warn your DH, when we started weaning DS he practically ate the spoon too Grin hungry boy . ( as an aside, took Family to a Brazilian restaurant for DS’s birthday with his 6ft3 friend too. They must have hated us, stayed for hours, got our money’s worth , they must have polished off a whole cow.....good value for big young peopleGrin )

Longislandicetee · 22/01/2019 08:16

Blair can’t believe it’s been a year! Lovely to hear from you.

QueenC said like a true mother of 3.Grin

Justa hugs to you my lovely.

So this is my annual “I love my coat” post.....I love my MaxMara cashmere coat!! It’s pure love. So warm and snuggly and worth every penny of the £2k. I even finally told dh how much it cost because I love it so much.Grin

Ootd beneath the coat is a Me&Em black layering top and over that the beautiful MaxMara cream sweater I bought back in September, with beige Reiss wool pencil skirt and brown Aquatalia knee high boots. Handbag is a tan coloured Mulberry Mitzy Hobo which is about 10 years old and still gorgeous. I don’t have any important meetings today so this is dress down at work for me.

Ds 7 has an important presentation at school today so he said his school uniform had to look perfect and he had to be super clean. I said nothing and quietly wept as he slathered himself in my £33 bottle of shower gelShock

Have a lovely day everyone x

QueenCerise · 22/01/2019 09:23

blingy what are you thinking?? Do not leave expensive stuff in the shower for all to use!!

Stokey · 22/01/2019 09:47

Thanks for new thread Fedup.

Sad about Brandon, awful that he couldn't get the help he needed. Lots of ridiculous conspiracy theories on insta but it seems like he was just really struggling.

Excited about your building work Lib, amazing they've done so much.

Hope mini Marsha is recovering well, agree about children's hospitals. Was blown away by Moorfields when DD1 had her eye operation.

Good luck with returning to work Blair. Hard leaving ds but try and enjoy leaving the house with just a handbag again! And congrats to Dream's DIL. Exciting news.

I've been ill for days, today is the first day since Friday I've woken up without a temperature. So no news on my front!

Everyonelovessparkles · 22/01/2019 10:21

I’ve ordered both faux fur jackets Grin, rationale being that sometimes you need to see things IRL to gauge that quality etc and then I can try then on at home with different things. I’ll probably wear them with jeans, leather skirts and ‘going oiut’ dresses.

Sorry to hear you’ve been ill stokey, but glad you’re feeling a bit better.

I quite liked the early days of weaning blair, I loved seeming their faces the first time they try something 😍. But yes, invest in some bibs that cover all your DS’s clothes as there will be lots of mess!

blingy love your outfit. Hope it’s hoes well for your DS today! Well done on finding your earrings, it seems that all your lost jewellery ends up in one of your bags!

shop I quite like the colour of that jacket but have read that those teddy coats / jackets are quite bulky.

Interesting article queenc about organising our wardrobes. I think my neutrals are black and navy
Colours / pops of colour : cream, red, fuschia, coral, blue, pale pink (not really sure if I can split between real colours and pops of colour as I don’t really have too much of any one colour).

kittyhello · 23/01/2019 15:38

Hello

Congrats to Dream's DiL such wonderful news

Marsha how's MiniMarsha? Hope she's made a speedy recovery from her op.

Blair lovely to see you back on here and I concur you looked gorgeous on the FB pics. I loved the blouse, it looked great on you such a good style.

Shop sorry to hear your sad news about a family member Flowers

Every you have to tell us which one you prefer

Stokey hope you start to feel better soon.

Blingy Grin at ds because he's worth it!

Justa ]flowers]

Absolutely zero fashion news from me and I've seem to have fallen into a style rut of skinnies, blouse and boots. Roll on spring - please can the nice weather come early this year.

DryWhiteagainW · 23/01/2019 22:34

Good grief it’s chilly. So cold that today I resurrected the twin set look I loved when I went through my Sloane phase in the 90s . Was told I looked chic Hmm code for middle aged frump?
OTTD for warmth at work :
100% wool flannel camel a line just above knee length Boden skirt
Opaque tights (black)
Black knee boots
Red merino Uniqlo round neck, long sleeved fine knit under
Zara red fitted cotton/polyester cardigan
Burberry check cashmere scarf (thanks so much shop I love it still)
And....pearls Grin ...admittedly only stud earrings, 3 strand necklace might have been a bit ott

DryWhiteagainW · 23/01/2019 22:36

Yes....black, camel, grey are my wardrobe foundations.
Highlights are red, greens and blues.

DryWhiteagainW · 23/01/2019 22:37

With a lot of other stuff in between admittedly.........

kittyhello · 23/01/2019 23:15

Dry You sound very well put together with a lot of thought going into it. You too Blingy My work wardrobe is dreadful - black trousers, a blouse of some sort or merino jumper and boots or flats. I try and swish it up a bit by adding a Gucci belt or scarf - never both Grin but it's still woeful. Must try harder.
