Anyone up for an opening thread?

@Stitchosaurus no, I didn’t peak, but when I saw people talking about bulging box I remembered myself wondering how they would fit 100ml bottle in that box when looking at contents and deciding which one to get. In all fairness I didn’t get it 100% right, thought there would be their new tonic not the glow tonic. But I’m happy to be wrong, been using this one quite regularly, so it’s a winner!

Very happy with the toner - use it already and it's a generous size!

Have just noticed my calendar has 2 number 25s and no 18! Anyone else? The 25s are next to each other so I can't believe it took me so long to notice! I had a sneaky feel inside and am pretty sure the contents are different so all should be well, just a numbering issue.

Very happy with the pixie toner, great size and I'll re use the bottle to decant when I go on holiday, as it's a product I use every day. My skin misses it if I don't take some with me

Another one I've never tried today. When is it best used? After cleanser and before moisturiser?
I'm quite impressed by the size of these goodies, I'd expected wincy sample sizes.

@cardicorgi yes, I use it after cleansing and then follow with serum and moisturiser.

Oh no @twotabbycats! Just checked mine and have got all the numbers. Like you say, hopefully it’s just a number glitch and you’ll still have the right products.

@strawberryfield12 I checked the contents to make sure it wasn’t too similar to last year’s but have promptly forgotten them all!

Today’s isn’t quite as exciting but it smells nice so will definitely get used up.

Phew close call there! I was just writing a post about door 19 which I got mixed up with door 9 🤔 too much gin last night I think.

Day 9 - QMS Medicosmetics Hand Care

I'm quite pleased with this, even though I acknowledge that there's not much that's exciting about hand-cream.

My hands are always horrible in the winter, so I hope this will help, even though it's not a star item.

I’m really pleased with this - my hands always suffer in the cold weather and it’s lovely to try a new brand I would never have sought out myself. I’m probably going to be in a minority, liking hand cream in the calendar, but to be honest there’s only so much I can slap on my face at one time, so this makes a nice change......

I’m pleased with nice hand creams too, we have a lot of animals and I often foster pups and kittens so my hands are in hot water more often than most

My friend had that hand cream and said it was particularly effective. I don’t have this advent calendar personally but just thought you might like to know.

Really pleased with today's - my hands get really dry so always appreciate a nice handcream. Not heard of this one but it absorbed really quickly and didn't seem greasy. Handy handbag size too!

Normally I couldn't get excited about hand cream but my hands are so dry from all the washing after nappy changes and bottle washing that I'm quite pleased with this! Nice size for my bag too.

Gorgeous hand cream. Hands feel so soft after application. Lovely scent too. Very happy with this one too.

Enjoying the calendar and loving this thread!! Thanks Santa for starting😊 had my works Christmas party last night and used the cool girl hair mist liberally - never had so many compliments on my hair despite the horrid misty rain!! Could be a re-purchase item for me!

I like the hand cream and can never have enough - they're strewn liberally around the house and car! This one seems a bit like the Nutrogena Norwegian formula but nicer smelling!

Today's is interesting
Eucalyptus deodorant.
I am used to an antiperspirant, so not sure about it. Smells divine though

Intrigued about today's - I wonder if it's as effective as normal bog standard off the shelf types! Good timing as I'm about to run out of my current one.

Today's looks perfect for taking on holiday, so I'm going to save it until I go away.

Tried the hand cream before bed and absolutely loved it.

Today’s sounds / smells great. I’ll give it a try out today and then pop it away into my ‘holiday’ stash. Perfect size for travel. Used the hand cream last night too and my hands feel beautiful and soft this morning.

I used the deodorant this morning but then got paranoid and sprayed my antiperspirant over the top! It does smell good though.

One of the best things about this thread is I'm away from home a bit so just by logging onto Mumsnet I can see what the days gift is when I'm not around
