Pleased to have found you albeit a bit late. This is my first Liberty calendar, I’ve had the Space NK, Selfridges & M&S ones in the past.

I must try & use the products this year rather than save them!

chickydoo · 07/12/2018 07:27

Today's offering, a Laura Mercier setting powder.
I don't use powder, maybe I should.
About the moisturiser smell.
I think it smells fine, hasn't really got much of a smell.

bengalcat · 07/12/2018 08:02

O how lovely , a power puff. Not used one of those since my 20's .

GinandGingerBeer · 07/12/2018 09:11

Maybe it's just me Re the smell of the votary cream, but honestly mines rank!
I might modge it together in my fingers with some votary oil before applying.
V pleased with today's offering, not tried it yet.
I've used the mask, freaked everyone out with it while watching I'm a celeb Grin

Stitchosaurus · 07/12/2018 09:14

I haven’t noticed a smell to the moisturiser either...it’s going to last me ages, a tiny bit goes a long way!

Loving the retro powder puff this morning - very happy with how the powder went on, normally find them way too chalky and aging but this one seems much nicer.

No spoilers but has anyone else got a bulging drawer for tomorrow?! Whatever it is, it looks big!

santababyconvertible · 07/12/2018 09:25

Day 7 Laura Mercier setting powder and mini puff - is anyone else missing the odd Day card?!

santababyconvertible · 07/12/2018 09:26

£20 rrp, never would've paid that as a stand alone product so nice to try it

Stitchosaurus · 07/12/2018 09:42

@santababyconvertible yes, I’ve been missing quite a few so far.

Luvacuppatea · 07/12/2018 10:12

Out to first festive lunch of the season later, so going to give the powder a go and hope that I stay beautiful and ‘set’ all afternoon 😀. Not even thought about a ‘setting powder’ before, so it should be interesting..... Yrs Stitchosaurus, my drawer 8 is bulging as well - intrigued as to what’s inside. I’ve got another bulging drawer later in the calendar too - somewhere in the 20’s .......

chickydoo · 07/12/2018 10:55

I've had all the cards so far, nothing missing yet

Strawberryfield12 · 07/12/2018 11:41

My bet for tomorrow's box is the Pixi new tonic :)

Costacoffeeplease · 07/12/2018 12:19

One of my cards was stuck to the top of the inside of the box, so check there for any that are missing

littlepooch · 07/12/2018 12:24

Very pleased with the powder - I've been wanting to try a powder again for a while and read good things about this one.

Yes a few of my cards have been stuck to the top too.

Now I'm intrigued about tomorrow!

HappyInL0nd0n · 07/12/2018 13:01

This calendar is making me so damn happy, it's embarrassing. I never experiment with new products or splash out beyond work make-up (and I've used most of the same products for 10 yrs Blush). Every day feels like a little luxury, particularly given I'm on mat leave being thrown up on at last twice a day.

Really happy to try a new setting powder. Have never used a velour puff before - heavens, how Jane Austen Grin.

Bellsandwhistle · 07/12/2018 13:49

A few of my cards have been stuck to top, down the back or under the box so have a good poke around.

Love powder can’t beluevs so many of you don’t use it! I need a 3pm puff!

Stitchosaurus · 07/12/2018 13:54

I’ve now found all my missing cards, stuck to the top of the boxes - thanks for the tip everyone!

CardiCorgi · 07/12/2018 20:59

May I join in? DH surprised me with this and I am sure it won't be a regular occurrence.
Today's powder looks good and I'm really enjoying all of these new (to me) brands.

intelligentPutty · 07/12/2018 21:10

Loving the powder and mini puff today I have normal sized one but this is a lovely mini version and great for when one drying from cleaning.

TheCountryGirl · 07/12/2018 21:24

I love this thread. I can't afford this calendar but love seeing it through your eyes!! Talking of eyes mine are sooo green right now!!

Twotabbycats · 08/12/2018 01:45

Love the Votary moisturiser although I would have preferred it to smell like last year's gorgeous oil! Used it last night and my face was very soft this morning. Definitely feels like a night creamto me, might be too greasy under make up. Jan and Feb can be very cold here so it will be very welcome. Like the look of the powder too - haven't used it as I opened after I put makeup on... I have the banana setting powder but this looks superior!

Hi @chloechloe, I remember you from last year! I agree that the early days have been better than last year's calendar. The overall value is higher this year so I suppose it makes sense. It feels like we are getting a decent product every day, with no little fillers.

chickydoo · 08/12/2018 07:58

Toner today with glycolic acid.
I am sure this will get used.
Great size!

santababyconvertible · 08/12/2018 08:31

Pixi Glow Tonic today!

I’ve just finished a bottle of this, so this will be a good replacement

PinkysEars · 08/12/2018 10:03

Pleased about this and looking forward to trying it. More exciting to me than yesterdays, which I probably won't use as I very rarely wear make-up.

I'm absolutely loving the opportunity to try different brands which have been chosen for me, as I'm chronically indecisive and don't do well with too much choice. This experience is very relaxing.

Stitchosaurus · 08/12/2018 11:37

Pleased with today’s...great size as well. @strawberryfield12 that was an excellent guess or are you cheating and peeking ahead? Xmas Grin

I remember we got told off on last year’s thread for being too negative! I’ve loved it enough to get it 3 years in a row and am very happy with this year’s goodies so far.
