I've had a sneak peek at tomorrow as I won't have time before I leave for work and it's something I've been wanting to try !

I used the destress oil tonight after a shower - just a few drops - and it absolutely helped to get me out of the stress of the day (not curing cancer, just breastfeeding a nine week old and running after a toddler Blush) and into a more zen place. I know it's in the mind, but it's such a lovely elegant scent, it felt like a real treat. Woot. Grin

Really pleased about the hair spray. I never experiment with hair products, so this could be the start of a beautiful friendship for me....

I enjoy following this thread and seeing what you all have to say about the products. Thanks for starting this thread, OP StarGlitterballStar x

I'm interested in swaps. Don't think the eye thing will suit my skin tone.
Overall happy so far.

chickydoo · 04/12/2018 21:44

Yes thanks op, great thread

santababyconvertible · 04/12/2018 21:49

I have normal straight hair, will today's hair mist do anything for me?! DH has bagsied tomorrow's already !!

Tried the bath oil tonight - lovely - reminded me weirdly of lemon Turkish delight but I do now feel relaxed and ready for an early night 😊

imp2007 · 04/12/2018 22:01

Hair going up in a sock bun tonight ready to spritz the cool girl hair mist through in the morning 😊 thinking I will really like that one!

Twotabbycats · 04/12/2018 23:44

@santababyconvertible I am wondering the same thing about the hair mist. Don't normally use anything in my hair except a tiny bit of serum before drying.

I opened my Jo Malone in January too... DH bought it for me for Christmas!

chickydoo · 05/12/2018 07:25

Anti wrinkle mask.
No time to use this morning.
I am not sure about this, have had similar before ( cheap ones) They never seem to do much though. I am yet to be convinced.

santababyconvertible · 05/12/2018 08:16

Tried again with the eye brightener this morning - put less on which I think has helped, will see how it goes through the day.

Put some of the oil on after my shower but I’d dried off a bit too much for it to spread easily, will try it in a bath on the weekend.

Spritzed my hair with the cool girl stuff after blow drying this morning - I have very thick hair so these things don’t always have a big effect but I think it’s made it less poufy if you know what I mean!

Love skin laundry and a sheet mask is always fun - it’s not the kind of thing I would bother buying, love getting bits like that in the calendar. (As a random aside, I got the rodial dragon’s blood lip mask as a freebie awhile back and that cleared up my chapped lips...they don’t have lasting effects but are a good hydration booster for a night out or something).

Stitchosaurus · 05/12/2018 09:06

@santababyconvertible and @twotabbycats - very sensible to save the Jo Malone one for January but I’m too greedy and am opening both each day! I’ll be gutted once advent is over!

santababyconvertible · 05/12/2018 09:24

@Twotabbycats and @Stitchosaurus just a heads up , in number 24 in Jo Malone there is something which needs to be used by the end of Jan, so don't delay too much!!

Ooh I'm excited about today's! It's a brand I've been wanting to try for a while.

Luvacuppatea · 06/12/2018 07:21

So happy with today’s offering - star of the calendar for me so far. There was a Votary cleansing oil last year that myself and my skin loved and I’ve since repurchased, so really excited to try this. Lovely, big, full sized jar as well 😀.

chickydoo · 06/12/2018 07:24

Wow! This is fantastic addition to the calendar.
Just googled it £65.00 I would never normally spend that on a moisturiser.
This is just what my skin needs.
For me, the best so far! Really pleased with this.

PinkysEars · 06/12/2018 08:15

Absolutely delighted with this one. I know it has great reviews for dry skin, which mine is. Can't wait to try it.

Stitchosaurus · 06/12/2018 09:08

The cream felt amazing on my face this morning, and a huge jar - very happy with this one. I’m quite oily so will see how I get on with it, but should be great for winter.

@luvacuppatea I loved that cleansing oil too! I really enjoy how it’s the same brands but different products each time. I think Liberty is doing a great job for repeat buyers as well as new.

@santababyconvertible thanks for the heads up!

santababyconvertible · 06/12/2018 09:47

£65 when on sale, wow! Looks great for the winter

Cream feels heavier and thicker going on than my normal moisturiser, but wow, skin feels so soft and full hours later. Delighted with this one Grin

imp2007 · 06/12/2018 13:07

Really pleased with this one -feels lovely on my skin and gorgeous glass jar. Think this is the best so far 😊

chloechloe · 06/12/2018 13:28

Hello! Just joining the thread now.

I had the calendar last year too but am finding the contents better this year so far. I’m really pleased with the moisturiser, should be great for the winter!

I still have a few bits from last year’s that I haven’t used so far, so am going to make an effort to use this year’s stuff straight away rather than saving it for “best”.

I’m impressed with all the husbands who have been gifting liberty calendars to those on the thread!

Floridagirl · 06/12/2018 19:55

I've just used today's lovely moisturiser, very good timing as my normal Superdrug night cream ran out last night! It's very nice, think it may be the most expensive moisturiser I have ever used though 😳

GinandGingerBeer · 06/12/2018 23:57

Love the feel of the votary facial cream but my god it's got a weird smell..... bleugh. 'Fragrance free' but smells kinda fusty to me, anyone else?

Didsomeonesaybunny · 07/12/2018 00:39

I am loving the advent calendar so far with the votary moisturiser being my fave at the moment.

I usually buy Nanette de Gaspe sheet masks so am poking forward to trying skin laundry.

Not sure I’ll ever use the oil - I really don’t like lavender.
