Santababy, we’re advent calendar twins! Third year of Liberty and first of Jo Malone for me.

Happy with cleanser, always need those. Got home late today so tried the eye brightener over my make up, not sure if it made a difference, will give it a proper try tomorrow. Also had to google how to apply it!

GinandGingerBeer · 02/12/2018 20:41

Marking place.
I thought DH had decided not to get me one this year as he usually gives it me when it arrives but it was propped up against my pillow when I went to bed Friday night Smile
Haven't tried either of the products yet, but will use the cleanser before I go to bed.

HappyInL0nd0n · 03/12/2018 03:10

Ooh, joining this thread. Liberty advent calendar virgin here!

Love the cleanser - very nice feel. Was thrilled with eye brightener too. Tried it on and thought it looked great but came downstairs and husband said: 'Jesus, you look wrecked!' We do have a nine week old and it had been a rough night, but still... Grin

Day 3 - De-Stress Oil from Austria.

Smells very lemony rather than lavendery! I like it though.

Have just used the oil in the bath.
It is lovely, you only need a couple of drops. Skin feels really soft...didn't want to get out.
Will have another try with yesterday's eye thingy before I do my make up.
Or should it be after? Still not sure how to use it.

PinkysEars · 03/12/2018 08:26

Really happy with today's oil as I'd actually considered buying it, so this is a great way to try. It smells gorgeous.

Luvacuppatea · 03/12/2018 08:26

Have been wanting to try something from Susanne Kaufman so really happy with today’s offering. Lovely soak in the bath for me this evening....

Stitchosaurus · 03/12/2018 08:31

I did foundation and then the eye thingy - seemed to work well. Aw Happy, the joys of small babies!

Haven’t sniffed the oil yet, will probably put some on after a shower tonight...am hoping the lavender will help me sleep, although maybe not if it’s more lemony!

imp2007 · 03/12/2018 09:40

Loving today's right up my street can't wait to try smells gorgeous! x

HappyInL0nd0n · 03/12/2018 14:39

Do you put the eye brightener on after the foundation? Asking for a friend who may have applied it before the foundation Blush

And thanks, Stitch Smile x

TwoLads · 03/12/2018 14:46

Always put concealer/brightener type things on top of foundation.

KiplingAngelCake · 03/12/2018 15:44

Ooh you lucky things. DH buys me to Liberty Advent Calendar every year as a birthday present, but missed the boat this year. He bought me the Harrods one instead but - three days in - I'm not loving it. Eek. So gutted that he spent so much on it.

Stitchosaurus · 03/12/2018 15:53

yep, I did foundation first, then the eye brightener - however, I think it's made the lines under my eyes look worse! I did have a couple of late nights over the weekend so it could just be my knackered skin...or bad application? Anyone else have the same issue?

Stitchosaurus · 03/12/2018 15:55

oh no Kipling! Hope it gets better for you, sure there'll be some good bits in there - I normally find these things to be a mix of meh and yay!

littlepooch · 03/12/2018 19:43

The oil smells quite lemongrassy! Reminds me of a spa I went to in Thailand. It's lovely - I used a drop in the shower and after as neither time for a bath at the mo!

I used the eye brightener thing before my foundation/base - it worked better that way for me. Normally I do concealer after but much preferred doing this the other way. There's a good video on Trish's website showing how to apply but day 2 and I love it!

Twotabbycats · 03/12/2018 23:39

Found you all!

My second year of the Liberty calendar and my only one this year. I used far more products from the Liberty one than the others so decided it was worth the splash! Oh and I really wanted a refill of one of the products that costs £60, so knew I was off to a good start!

Like the cleanser, have been using in the shower... perfect timing as I've nearly finished the skin laundry one from last year's calendar. I like the idea of the eye brightener though I am a bit scared of it as I have ocular rosacea, and I can't put anything on my eyes or they stream. But near them might be ok. I'm not so impressed by the oil - I love lavender and lemongrass but put a couple of drops on my arm and it smells like those citronella candles to me! Maybe better in the bath, fingers crossed.

I'm feeling a little envious of those with lots to open, even though I treated myself to some nice skincare that I actually needed in the Black Friday sales. Not in U.K. or I would have got a John Lewis one half price!

To the lucky owner of the Jo Malone calendar... (sorry on app and can't scroll back for name), I had the Jo Malone one last year and loved it, still enjoy choosing a different scent each day. I've got the orange bitters perfume too and love it, one of my faves.

Morning
My favourite so far!
Hair mist by Sam McKnight.
Have just sprayed on my bed head hair, smells lovely & de frizzes.
This is a good size for travel.
Am pleased with everything so far.

santababyconvertible · 04/12/2018 08:59

@Twotabbycats I am actually saving it for January to give us something to look forward to in the dark post winter haze.

DatsunCogs · 04/12/2018 11:36

Jumping on as I have this calendar too pleased with today's hair mist and the under eye stuff is great, way better than my usual concealer. Quite like the lavender oil but what do you do with it?!

GinandGingerBeer · 04/12/2018 15:55

There should be a little card with it @DatsunCogs. You can apply it directly to your skin or pop a few drops in the bath. Smells gorgeous!
I'm very pleased so far, everything has been different this year to previous years, nice to try new stuff Smile

bellabelly · 04/12/2018 16:31

Yay, I have found you all! Really pleased with everything so far but desperately hoping for a good moisturiser soon as mine has almost run out. The dermalogica cleanser is fab, not tried the bath oil yet but like the smell of it. Bit worried it will make the bath horribly slippery though?!

Hmm not sure about the hair stuff. Pre baby I would have loved it but now I'm lucky to brush my hair lol. Still I will put it away for when I finally get to wave my hair.

Excited for tomorrow, I would like some more skincare 😁

PinkysEars · 04/12/2018 19:56

I was childishly pleased with the lovely box this morning. I don't know if it's something that will suit my hair - which is curly and has more than enough "texture" going on - but the packaging is so gorgeous that I don't really care.

This is why my husband calls me an advertiser's dream. Blush
