Anyone up for an opening thread?

Just tried the Ren Primer for the first time and reacted very badly to it. Bright red stinging face. To make it worse mother in law and guests arriving any minute. 🙈

I tried the lip colour yesterday in an attempt to do "French woman goes Christmas shopping" chic (let down by mad hair and tatty clothes). The colour is rather nice, so although it's bolder than my usual lip balm it gets a thumbs up from me.
Today's is great and very gratefully received, just the right day for it.

Yesterday I tried just the lip powder end under lipbalm and it was great for a subtle look. There's lots of different ways to use it.

What colour lip pencil do people have? I think they must have put different colours as mine one definitely isn’t “plum” or “bold” as mentioned above. I wish it was - it’s a subtle light pinky colour...

Mine's Quaintrelle. I've tried it now and I like it, although it's darker than I would have chosen for myself. That's the point though for me - trying new things.

I have quaintelle too and find it quite dark.

These will be my available swaps if anyone is interested.

Tomorrow's is a goodie by the way, I'm so happy about it (people can probably guess what it is) !!

What is everyone doing with their box ? I am keeping it for next year to fill it with dinky type cars for DS3

Don’t have a clue what to do with mine. I’ve still got the first one I got from a couple of years ago, they’re just too pretty to throw out!
I used it last year as an advent calendar for dh. He loves good skincare but they don’t seem to have anything like this for men so he was very happy!

I saw them on eBay selling for around £30 each too. One person filled it back up with other gifts and sold for £200!

I'm not really into candles so disappointed with today's as it's not beauty, thought the same about yesterdays too, hope tomorrow's is back to beauty!

I'm going to keep my box and do something with it next year I think.

@starsky22 would you like to swop your candle with anything? Tomorrow is sort of beauty themed

Day 25- Le Labo perfume

I'm really happy with Le Labo today. I love their products but never buy them for myself as they're so pricey so it's a nice treat.

I'm not sure about the perfume, smells quite musky.

Have loved the liberty calendar and would definitely consider getting it again next year. Personally I would have liked more make-up, an eyeliner, something for eyebrows, eye shadow or a proper lipstick would have been nice, but realise others don't want too much make-up. I think a nice shower gel or soap would have been lovely too.

My highlights were the votary cream, eye brightener, omorovicza moisturiser and the Laura mercier powder. Least favourites were the deodorant, hand cream, hair perfume, egyptian cream, lipgloss and candle, but appreciate I'm probably in the minority for that last one!

I like the perfume very much - it's woody, not flowery, which I much prefer.

I've loved my calendar and it's helped me through a month that was quite tough for a number of reasons. I've particularly liked the fact that there wasn't much makeup (sorry Starsky). I've really enjoyed trying new brands and there are quite a few things I'll re-buy (or at least, try different things from the same brands).

It's my first ever advent calendar - what a way to start!

I love today's perfume! I think this is the best beauty advent calendar I have had and definitely good value for money. I've really enjoyed trying different brands and products that I probably would never have bought for myself. Favourites are probably the perfume, the OI Davines milk, the hyaluronic serum and the dermalogica cleanser but to be honest I loved it all, the only thing I probably won't use is the clear lip gloss.
I'm going to be sad tomorrow when there is no day 26 to open

The perfume is interesting, dh likes it less than I do. On the other hand I was delighted with the candle.
I'm keeping the box, it's so pretty and it's very unlikely that I will get a calendar like this next year.
