Anyone up for an opening thread?

Washed my hair and used today's product - seems fine, not too greasy - and then sprayed liberally with the hair perfume. Had best stay away from naked flames!

chickydoo · 19/12/2018 06:35

I have heard great things about Egyptian magic, good product to take on holiday. I think it is similar to 8 hour cream. Will probably save this one

OxanaVorontsova · 19/12/2018 06:38

Been lurking to enjoy the calendar without having one myself! I had the Davine’s hair milk in mine a couple of years ago and was sceptical but have ended up buying again it since - it makes my hair so soft and silky, I’d recommend giving it a try.

What's the best product so far to make you look alive after a heavy night out?!

Ha, maybe the eye brightener santa, hope you’re not suffering too much!

I’m not sure about Egyptian Magic, might give it to my mum to try as she has really painful, dry, cracked skin on her hands. Think I’ve still got some 8 hour cream kicking about from years ago as I didn’t really use that either.

PinkysEars · 19/12/2018 09:05

I'm pleased with today's as my skin hates the winter. It's a good size to pop in my handbag too.

Sausagefingers9 · 19/12/2018 09:07

2 big glasses of water, a face mask and some of that nice primer should do the trick!

I tried the oi oi hair stuff last night and my hair is bushier than ever this morning Sad

chickydoo · 20/12/2018 06:29

Love today's eye brighter.
Just tried it. Feels very cool & soothing when applied. I get dry itchy eyes, and usually look tired. I am hoping this will help

chickydoo · 20/12/2018 06:32

Just googled and seen it costs £42.00. Apparently in 28 days eyes will look 5 years younger! ..hopeful....

littlepooch · 20/12/2018 07:32

I like the look of today's - I look exhausted all the time at the moment with dark circles and tired sensitive eyes too so hopeful for this one as I like the brand too! I wash point for some eye stuff.

I'm feeling a bit sad that there are only a few days left! I have really enjoyed the calendar and this thread!

Day 20- an eye dew which will revitalise and brighten us!

I love the look of the eye dew but I'm scared to try it! skin around my eyes is super sensitive - I get eczema ish type rash if I put products on my eye lids usually. Anyone with sensitive skin tried it?

Luvacuppatea · 20/12/2018 08:58

I have sensitive skin RoxyL. Can’t speak for this particular product, but last years calendar had some Aurelia night repair stuff in it which I absolutely loved - no adverse reactions at all! So I’m going to give this eye dew a go. Fingers crossed, my eyes definitely need some help .......

Luvacuppatea · 20/12/2018 09:02

I’m a bit behind with posting, but have to say that I really love the hair perfume - it’s like walking around in a beautifully smelling cloud - but then, I am a fan of Byredo fragrances. This, together with the Votary cream and the REN primer are my ‘hero’ products of the calendar so far - still a few days to go though 😀....l.

chloechloe · 20/12/2018 09:51

I love the brand Aurelia so am pleased with this. With 3 under 4 I am in need of some eye brightening miracle!

pooch I’m sad we’re nearly finished too. I think the last days should be good though as I think a lot of the “star” products are still to come!

littlepooch · 20/12/2018 12:05

Chloe snap! I have 3 under 4 too hence my need for eye products 😂

Stitchosaurus · 20/12/2018 17:51

Very happy with the eye dew, especially as I got a mini tester of it earlier in the year but the roller ball didn’t work...no problems with this one, looking forward to looking 5 years younger in a month Grin

I’m fairly sure I know two of the products to come, based on previous years, so two more surprises! Have really enjoyed it, shame advent is only 24 days!

chickydoo · 20/12/2018 19:00

Will definitely get this calendar again next year, as long as finances are ok
Really enjoyed trying all the products
So far my favourites have been
Votary cream
Pixie tonic
Dr seabagh serum
The hair thing in the pink can
The primer
And the eye brightener.

Not so keen on
Hair perfume
Lip balm
Mascara
Powder

Only 5 more drawers to open.

CardiCorgi · 20/12/2018 20:41

Just catching up, I've been ill. I loved the eye thing this morning and followed it with the Trish Mcevoy eye makeup, which I thought looked rather good, at least until I had a meltdown in the office.
The anti-frizz did quite well on damp hair and I like the smell.
Does anyone else think that the Egyptian Magic sounds as though it comes from Harry Potter?

PinkysEars · 20/12/2018 21:11

I'm also very pleased with todays.

I'm using, and really liking, the REN serum primer. I don't wear foundation and the serum improves the look of my skin even with nothing on top.

I'm also loving the Votary cream, like PP. Not completely convinced about the Dr Sebagh Serum Repair yet, although I will persevere to give it a fair chance.

Still loving the whole experience to be honest.

GinandGingerBeer · 20/12/2018 22:17

I couldn't get anything out of the roller ball eye dew. Ran it back over and over in my hand but nothing Sad

chloechloe · 20/12/2018 22:21

I can’t get anything out my rollerball either Hmm

chickydoo · 21/12/2018 07:16

Another moisturiser. Illuminating apparently, and all the way from Budapest costing £85.

RoxyL · 21/12/2018 08:27

Today’s moisturiser feels incredible! Really really lovely on the skin. Sinks in but leaves skin so so soft and smooth. 😍
