Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Very exciting MrsL

What sort of sample is acceptable? I’m useless at decants but have loads of 1ml-3ml proper I could use...ok?

MrsLucas · 15/11/2018 01:02

Yes, fine, Shehasnotions. Thinking along the lines of a 2ml decant or a decent sample (1.5-2mls). You'll need two, wrapped separately, one for each day it's your partner's turn to open.

Being lovely and friendly, Perfumistas do sometimes throw in an extra sample or a chocolate when exchanging samples - but there's no pressure to do so here. Key is to get two decent samples/decants wrapped, so your partner can have a sniff of something nice/interesting and report back using the editing link in the message window of the calendar on their days. Hope that sounds OK to everyone?

If anyone is short of samples it's worth checking Feel Unique who do a brilliant 5 sample pic'n'mix.

As I was off sick migrainy yesterday I spent a delightful hour trawling PP for a whopping Christmas order for dd.
I will post it later for your opinions.
I have a teensy bottle of very old Fracas. It's not something I'd wear in public I think, or would just put a drop on for study purposes but it is clearly a masterpiece.

@Mrsr8 if you send me your address I'll pop it in the post when I send my calendar samples

Morning all!

I have been thinking about Wishlist/Most Wanted Perfumes, how hard it is to narrow it down! I think mine would be

Narcisco Rodriguez Rouge (already tried, love)
Les Senteurs Gourmandes Tendre Madeleine (not tried but recommended here, know I will love)
4160s Babylon Sunset (tried and love)
Mandorino di Amalfi (not tried, should love)
Chanel 19 (for some reason not smelled for years but feel like nostalgia!)

I also have a huge list wish list with Perfume Parlour Blush

My recent SOTD/SOTE/SOTheMiddleOfTheNight has been disinfectant and sick Hmm I am the only person in our house to escape it so far which is funny as I am the one with the useless immune system Grin

Have been satisfying my perfume urges by getting samples for my DCs’ advent calendars, I’m afraid to say pink mingers have featured, but the heart wants what the heart wants!

So very much looking forward to our “proper” advent calendar.

I may have also Done A Bad Thing by going a bit over excited on the Feel Unique samples. I really must stop as the DCs will be getting lumps of coal for Christmas at this rate (no doubt MN would nod approvingly at that Grin)

So excited for Advent Calendar! Thank you MrsL for organising it Flowers

Sotd PP Wrappings. No idea what real Wrappings smells like, but I feel grown up and sophisticated and a bit Grande dame-y. Like I do when I wear 24 Faubourg etc.
The janitor lady at school smelled all soapy and iris-y but said she was wearing Alien? I don't think I've ever smelled it but I don't imagine it to be soapy! I wonder if it was her washing powder?

Vomit fairy Grin Grin

Although looking at the news this morning, I am feeling slightly sick myself Angry Maybe we should all stock up on perfumes, much more fun than stockpiling food Smile

Thank you MrsL for the pm.
One question ( I do apologise if it’s been answered already earlier on). Do these samples have to be blind ie. Unlabeled?
When do they have to be there by?
Sotd is Antonia by Pure Distance.

SOTE Captured by Candlelight.

Just digging through my samples now for the advent calendar!

Fantastiqueangel · 15/11/2018 18:09

Sotd is Maitresse, Agent Provocateur. It's not remarkable, sort of a powdery floral, but I like it a lot.

MrsLucas · 15/11/2018 18:37

Wow! Impressed how organised you all are. No, labelled is fine and good. Smile

MrsLucas · 15/11/2018 19:00

Yes Floof, although we may need to start drinking it...

Teta - have PM'd you.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/11/2018 21:54

SOTD Mitsouko.

I am ashamed to say I am well disorganised and have neither decanted nor hunted out samples. I will at the weekend though, and post in the week, promise.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/11/2018 22:12

Oh, I meant to say, PSA. Elle magazine has free Bella Freud perfume, I think it’s10mls. It’s the red one, something to do with hearts. (Obviously I bought it, but it’s in the kitchen and I am lazy.) quite heavy on tuberose. I am a huge BF fan, and have a few jumpers which I love - eBay or sales, obvs - plus the 1970 perfume.
