Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Good advice, thanks. I think I might go out and do some sniffing today, of those suggestions.

Welcome fantastique!

SOTD Chloe Love Story. I know Chloe doesn’t get much love from the perfumistas, but it’s become one of my favourite houses. Very easy to wear, comfortable fragrances for me. Lots of neroli in this one (autocorrect wants to change ‘neroli’ to ‘heroin’ which has given me the giggles). Need something fresh yet calming for my DD’s birthday party today.

Remind me why I agree to take 10 x 10 year olds to the cinema and for pizza, again? 😫

I like Option 2, btw, although happy to go with the majority.

Yes MrsR8, I think we'd all need to approach it as something of a lucky dip (and prepare for a round of swaps in January!). Swaps in January are always great Smile.

I won't do your advent calendar with being in furrin and all, but I will bore you all with my own!
Am in Aromatics Elixir today. Smell grown up and crisp. Was fettling for Safari but was running late so grabbed first "work" style sample to hand. Love it and when I wear it I remember I need a full bottle!

Hello Perfumistas!!

I am here for advice. I am in need of a new perfume choice. I used to wear Eau de Givenchy but you just can't get it any more, and the last one I got was so old it barely smelt of anything Sad

I then started wearing Angel please don't judge me and I do genuinely really like it still, but I feel I need to up my game.

The only perfume I have used since that I really thought I could use on a daily basis was Shay and Blue Atropa Belladonna.

Is that enough info for you experts to go on as to what I should go for next?

Thanks in advance

Thanks - one of my sisters wears Poison and I am not keen, but I will try Dior Addict.

Any other suggestions before I hit Debenhams on Monday? Smile

I definitely like vanilla scents. I also like patchouli though...

SOTD is Next Rouge Absolue. I am totally broke at the moment and am trying to save my beloved Bottega Veneta ... I have a bag of samples though (which I have only just remembered) and a few PP dupes on the go.

Really want that PS Niche box though. And the Replica sample box.

I vote for option two, and agree lucky dip style is easiest. And more fun.

@Mrsr8 I have a half used sample of Babylon sunset if you want? I love it but bought a bottle for my MIL so don't really wear it myself.

SOTD has been 4160 Over The Chocolate Shop. Didn't want to like this as trying not to indulge my childlike gourmand addiction. Wasn't sure at first but it's really grown on me.

I had a frustrating smelling sesh. I really thought I would love Cinnabar, and I just didn't. And then nothing else smelled right today either, except weirdly, M and S autograph for men!

Angel is fab! Angel Muse was very well reviewed too. Wink

You could try some of the 4160 Tuesday gourmands; Centrepiece (ignore the weird first 5 mins) and Creamy Vanilla Crumble for vanilla, plus Shazam! for a patchouli-heavy fizzy oriental, and The Great Randello if you like the idea of tobacco and vanilla (and strawberries). It works honest! You could get a sample set and try 9ml of New York '55 which I think has a lot of candyfloss, and is half price this week.

Fab Blah! Do you want to have no. 2?

Fish - there was some BV Knot on the TK Maxx website yesterday.

Calendar Perfumistas - we have 8 of us in so far. So we either need to find 17 more takers, switch to twelve days of Xmas and find four more people, or send three samples each to our partner, and each 'open' on three days rather than just on one? Any thoughts?

cantbelievemyeyes · 10/11/2018 21:16

I'd be up for joining in with the calendar please!

SOTD is the PP version of Oud Satin Mood- powdery, rose, violet and subtle oud. Lovely.

SOTD was Bella Freud 1970. Went to the hairdresser, felt headachey - pre-menstrual - so had a shower and now in MMM Sunday Morning.

floofy that is fab about the competition.

MrsL I’ll play, although it might be easier just to do a postal secret Santa type thing?

mrsR this reminds me that I still owe you Kiehl’s Musk. I was in the bloody post office today with eBay parcels and forgot to bring it with me. The decant is done, I am just woefully crap about posting. (Which poss doesn’t bode well re above.)
