Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Gallivant's Istanbul again. As it's on top of the sample drawer, it's getting lots of wear but it's great for the time of year. It would appeal to people who enjoy PoaL, at a more accessible price, with saffron notes IMVHO.

Fab choices blah; CVC, Ealing Green and Rome 1963 are some of my faves.

The Brocade is nearly gone; might spray some of the Bella Freud which is in my desk drawer.

SOTE Amberama.

Not long to advent fun, perfumistas Grin

MrsLucas · 29/11/2018 18:52

Very jealous Blah!

MissBattleaxe · 29/11/2018 19:23

Blah! That sounds wonderful! Great choices.

Flightywoman · 29/11/2018 19:36

I ordered a 4160 Tuesdays sample box for someone and went for the choose your own rather than pre-set.

And then I went for one for me as well!

I'm currently wearing Doe In The Snow which they created for lovely Lizzie Ostrom for her wedding. It's gorgeous! Reminds me of something, White Linen maybe?

Anyway I chose:
Amberama
Another Kiss by the fireside
Be Careful why you wish for
Dirty Honey
Doe In the Snow
Sex Goddess x2
The Lion Cupboard
Rosa Ribes
Rome 1963 x2
London 1969
Mother Nature's naughty daughters

I wore Sex Goddess today, my fellow perfumista boss likes it too!

Flightywoman · 29/11/2018 19:37

Oh and got a freebie of Sexiest scent in the world ever!

MrsLucas · 29/11/2018 19:40

Blah, from memory, as Amberama and I parted company amicably a little while ago, and Amber Mambo fell to an untimely death on the kitchen tiles, neither is really anything like Ambre Sultan (which LT describes as 'herbal amber').

Amber Mambo seems to be a relative of Lemon Sherbert (or as a wise soul here suggested it was rechristened, (given it's gourmand qualities), Lemon Meringue Pie). Amberama has a sharp modern woods, rather than a herbal/aromatic, vibe (would appeal to fans of Outdoors).

Hope that helps?

MrsLucas · 29/11/2018 19:42

Good list Flighty - be sure to keep us posted as you work through them. Smile

I think I should have gone for Paris 1968 - I'm a chypre girl and that sounds like my kind of thing!

CountFosco · 29/11/2018 19:51

SotD Avery E. Such a lovely comforting scent. Which was good as I was on a training course and I hate the guy who does the training. Kept sniffing my wrist ehen he annoyed me.

MrsLucas · 29/11/2018 19:57

It's lovely - big tobacco note, enormous peach note, plus white flowers and a little moss.

Also try Goddess of Love and Perfume if you get the chance. Fruit/floral chypre; much mossier.

Love Doe in the Snow, Flighty. It’s beaitiful on very cold, crisp days. Zingy lemon icicles, then goes warmer and a bit peachy, then a lovely mossy dry down. Beast mode longevity, too.

I only really like oakmoss in fruity chypres, Blah. I think....Grin

I need the sweetness of fruit to soften the moss, otherwise it smells musty and a bit damp to me.

Still learning about what I do and don’t like, but that’s my view currently Grin.
